Actor Hidetoshi Nishijima first met Iranian director Amir Naderi during the 2005 TOKYO FILMeX film festival. They then promised to one day work together and Amir Naderi wrote the screenplay of "CUT" specifically with Hidetoshi Nishijima in mind.[1]
