Leni Roos A fantastic, beautiful, understated series.

Joy I really love Beyond the Bar! It was so good—hoping we get a Season 2 soon!

SyaMY I really love this drama! Not a single part i feel bored. But didn’t like the ending. It should have Season 2 ! Pleaseeee made season 2 for this drama? and more case , we want to see a bit more romance from male lead & female lead. Even their age gaps is far, buttt still had a good chemistry ! We want season 2

Syasya Please watch this drama ! I binge watch for 12 episodes in a day because this dramaa top notch. Everything just perfect i really love it. But please make season 2 .. romance between fl & ml moreee ? Excellent dramaaa

Su San Excellent drama! Engaging and entertaining. Attorney Yoon's leadership style reminded me of Dr. Romantic: technical expertise and an outstanding mentor. This deserves another season, please!

Still can't believe the Netflix translation error: repour for rapport. Wow! smh

Vickie coons Please make second season, we must see the main leads get together. They can't show that much chemistry and not get a second. When it dose end it needs one off those endings where we see their life in the future. With children maybe one of the kids hearing impaired so we can see them love them no mater what handicap the child has. This show deserves a second season the law cases would be endless to support another season.

Melodramatic A great drama, not a single moment I felt dull.

Jasjit Loved the drama. Only thing finish very abruptly. Hope they come up with season 2 Loved Lee Jin Uk, have to watch more of his serious. Junk Chea yun was very good. Both of them had a fantastic chemistry together. Would like to see them again. All actors were superb.

John I hope they are planning a season two !! Great Show !!

Beatrice I need season 2 please !!!!! This drama so awesome

AK So many great characters, I'm impressed. Every episode is very entertaining.

Inha chan Trust me this drama is so good. I get hooked since the first episode, the plot of every case is well delivered. At first i think there is no chemistry between the leads but as more episodes progressed, it kind of slow burned romance which make it much more interesting. Trust me, it makes me patiently wait for progress between FL and ML, they definitely have the best chemistry. Overall love the dramas..

Courtney From the first episode it grabbed your attention and this was a very good show. All the actors did an awesome job and hope they decide to do another season.

Suz My husband & I loved this drama. As usual, every character was amazing. What is it about Korean actors that they are so superior. Aside from the cliche (understatement) of drunken scenes, the writing & directing are also superbly executed. Costume, set design, everything is stellar. And so often the music is perfect! The main actors, Lee Jin-Uk was really something else. I will now look for anything he has acted in & Jung Chae-Yeon was fresh & just adorable. I can’t think of any other actors who could have pulled these characters off so well. Bravo!

Nora Is it just me that this drama ended so abruptly?? Like i was skipping through the last epsiode because i wanted the lead to come to a conclusion but it just ended like that what????

Griselda Ramos G. Rella Dear "Beyond the Bar" Director, Screenwriter, Cast and Crew (korean reverance),

First, allow me to congratulate all of you for this amazing production! I must say that beyond being a fan of all the Netflix Korean series. This particular story captivated my attention. Week after week, I eagerly waited to watch this korean series with utmost enthusiasm! I am just a humble fan, but I have to say that it was neatly presented, well-crafted, diligently acted, meticulously portrayed, and most of all, outstandingly performed. I was sad when it ended, ( of course!) but happy enough with the way you ( and I refer to all of you who contributed to it!) wrapped it all up in a very elegant and intelligent way without leaving any gaps or stories unfolded. Of course I will be anxiously waiting for the "follow up" part of the story, to see what happen to Kang Hyu-Min and Yoon Seok-Hoon hoping for a favorable ending for them together. The ensemble of actors was fantastic!. I am a huge fan of Kin Yeo-Jin and her appearance was unexpected but her sole presence and charisma enhanced the drama as she is a guarantee of quality production.

Of course the screen writing was formidable and I particularly enjoyed the care and methodical selection of all the legal topics chosen. They were embodied not only by the knowledge, enforcement and protection of the law, but also fulfilled by the ethical, moral and human aspect of it. You made possible that each case and it story behind received the reward or punishment deserved with dignity and respect. For this, I would like to humble request, in a not so distant future, whenever this story may continue, hopefully not so far away, to present a story about an inheritance dispute between siblings after the death of both parents, particularly when one of the parents have died after a very long and extreme mental and physical suffering of an irreversible chronic disease where only one of the three siblings, the youngest female, looked after the ill parent sacrificing most of her life for her love and gratitude to her parents, when the other siblings completely ignore the care and attention to their ill parent. I do not know the law in Korea about the claim of inheritance but I believe this is a common topic in most cultures and the legal, moral and ethical view of it remains reluctant. Well, I believe this is a good case and I would love for Kang Hyu-Min and Yoon Seok-Hoon accepting my case beyond the bar... Thank you for your attention to my comments.

Erra Really good written series without boring episodes. There are no unnecessary scenes and casts too. Very enjoyable, no dragging stories too. Somehow I can feel the sadness and cry with Seok hoon when he discussed his divorce and unborn baby with his ex wife. I feel like wanna hug him. ?

Tandokazi Under law drama this one takes the hat 100% . It was ten times better than Law and city or Divorce attorney.

This well written drama with less romance truly the best I say. I enjoy it and never pace out while watching it. Thank you !!

K-Drama Addict I think this drama is one of the best when it comes to portraying how a relationship develops, episode by episode. It’s only 12 episodes, yet it really feels like you’ve witnessed months of growth, and their slowly getting to know each other... In fact, Must point out that the original storyline did lean toward romance between the two leads, but the creators ultimately opted for a subtler route... Damn!

iwiw stupid 12 episode format, good drama like this feels rushed so much, and it is a bit cliffhanger for main couple. they dont kiss, dont become couple, their chemistry are good and it is even quite good enough to marry each other.

Steve The show is well written and at times engaging, although its procedural, episodic structure makes it feel more like American television. I generally like dramas with lots of dialog, which is the case here, but it often feels like the characters are lecturing each other rather than sharing an opinion. Overall, the drama is well produced and watchable despite its shortcomings. And it would be great to live in a society where justice always prevails.

Ktrauma Ctrauma Addict I finished ep 12 last monday. I was surprised seeing a post saying that this series had already ended, so I came here coz I'm confused. It came to light so that was indeed true. I really thought this is a 16 episode legal drama, I was waiting for ep 13 though. Hope there's season2.

Petition for season2!!! Jebaaaaaaaal

King Pup 1722 Beyond the Bar is a sharp, warm legal drama that lives and dies on the energy between Yoon Seok‑Hoon and Kang Hyo‑Min, and the show mostly nails it: the mentor–rookie rhythm is steady, funny in the right moments, and quietly moving when it counts.

Lee Jin‑wook’s Seok‑Hoon is drawn with clean lines: a perfectionist litigator who doesn’t waste words, reads a room in seconds, and keeps feelings locked behind professional poise. What makes him engaging isn’t the “cold boss” shell, but the way cracks show at precise beats - old wounds, a marriage that didn’t survive mismatched life goals, and a guarded tenderness that he doesn’t know how to express. These notes land clearly and without melodrama, giving the character weight without slowing the story.

Jung Chae‑yeon’s Hyo‑Min is the show’s heartbeat. She starts upright and book‑smart but awkward, then grows with each small decision, asking for time when a client panics, reframing questions, learning where the law ends and empathy begins. Her first big courtroom win is classic feel‑good TV: simple tools used well, a small detail about hidden imagery in a painting turned into a clean reveal that flips the room. The writing lets her be brave and scared at once, which feels honest for a rookie.

The cases are steady and varied enough to avoid repetition. A fertility‑clinic break‑in pulls the story into messy questions about bodily autonomy, grief, and systems that fail people, not just statutes and penalties. The show doesn’t try to solve everything; it lets the clients be complicated, and it asks the leads to sit with that discomfort. Even a corporate acquisition fight is less about boardroom swagger and more about paper trails, responsibility, and the cost of looking away. This keeps episodes moving while building the season’s larger arc.

Where the series really clicks is how cases bounce back into character. Seok‑Hoon’s past colors how he mentors Hyo‑Min and how he argues in court; he’s exacting because he’s lived with consequences. Hyo‑Min’s growth isn’t magic; it’s repetition, small humiliations, and a few hard, earned wins that stick. Their late‑season near‑confession lands because the show has already let them be honest in motions and cross‑exams, if not yet in love. The cut‑to‑black feels like an answer postponed, not a tease for ratings.

Performances across the firm add texture without stealing the spotlight, and the direction keeps cases tight. Viewers who like legal drama with human stakes will find plenty to chew on. Highly recommended!

Eliza Loveeeeee it

Season 2 pliiiisss

HeeMint @diaz Thank you ? Ah, that’s why the face feels familiar to me…

kyumiw I love every case in here, but not the first lead couple story. I know maybe writernim tries to make a little romance between them, but I don't think that's a good idea because Yoon is still traumatized about his past relationship. Hyo-min looks like she tries so hard to make Yoon fall in love with her, and that's unnecessary for me. After all, it's a good drama. But honestly, I skipped every romance scene between the first lead because it annoys me.

elliemae207 Never a dull episode! Interesting cases from start to finish.

SPOILER ALERT --- I see why some people commented negatively about ep. 9 where there was a questionable incident that resulted in the death of a heinous criminal. It was all circumstantial and no one could actually determine COD... and I can see where the writers took the story to allow for the doctor to be found not guilty. The presumption of innocence, the family history and their deaths with the same underlying illness of the criminal... I'm not saying it is the right thing to do, I am saying I can understand why the writers took the stance of not punishing a doctor who's been contributing for the good of society in general, when the death of a heinous criminal is circumstantial at best...

I hope there would be a second season... I want to see how things will develop for Yoon Seok-hoon and Kang Hyo-min, as well as for Lee Jin-woo and Heo Min-jeong.

Elle I liked the series a lot and was glad they didn't do the typical "rush the leads together" ploy. With the ML's character, it wouldn't have seemed natural. But, I did like how their relationship with each other and the other cast members was portrayed. I also appreciate how they didn't sugarcoat the resolution to some of the cases. Overall it was a great show that ended on a good note.

If they had a season 2 I would watch, but I'm sort of hoping they leave it where it is. But I do feel like they ended it in a way it could come back.

Absolutely loved these episodes each one was different with true meaning. Watched on Netflix it’s got be the best I have seen I give it 10/out of 10. Please make a season 2 would love to see the attorneys married ad what happens next. I’m going to watch it again told all my friends about it. Please all the same actors in it . Devoted fan it was brilliant.

Ashfall I NEED SEASON 2 ASAP.. THE ENDING RUINED MY MOOD

Daisy Huynh I learn a lot from this drama, and I enjoy how they build the relationships between characters. I need season 2 for this show, not only for the romantic relationship between main leads, but also the development of other people.

Rey Netflix! Give us S2 jebal juseyo!

Kdrama Paksanim This show needs a season 2… Netflix please give beyond the bar season 2

Mi mi mi I hate this feeling ? It's the end of the series and I want more but it's the end ? A beautiful beginning and end indeed

justafan Love is what??? Say it!!!! TT Season 2 Pls!!!!

Magda USA Say it again! Perfect Excellent Series! But no way, they can keep audiences hanging like this. There has to be a Season 2! To much unsays and undone.

Tom Lee Product placement is hilarious, but I hope it doesn't become a trend. It's a 30-second commercial embedded into the episode.

Hime I love the cases they bring - they are quite unusual and the arguments are really well written. All the actors are eloquent and convincing, making the debates and research involved look interesting. However for day to day or romance scenes, they feel very scripted. For example - that scene with the twins at the bar is the one that glaringly annoys me (even made me physically cringe) because both the script and the delivery feels like something out of school project drama.

Noona What a great drama, each episode is well written and well executed. This is the best drama in 2025 so far (also its my first time submitting a comment, that’s how great this is).

Renwa An absolutely perfect drama with a perfect satisfying ending. Award worthy in every category: flawless, coherent, sensitive, engaging script, superlative casting, direction, each episode perfectly constructed leaving you on the edge of your seat waiting for more. Rare confluence of such spectacular film making components. Bravo/Brava. Thank you to the entire production team. Jung Chae-Yeon & Lee Jin-Uk & Lee Hak-Ju & Kim Yeo-Jin gave stand out performances which says a lot given the quality of everyone on this project. Do not miss this one!!!!

Mi mi mi Before anyone else says otherwise, the chemistry isn't forced at the last episodes. She fell but he fell harder. It took the male lead a while to let go or his past and embrace his present and he most definitely sees some similarities in the female lead prompting him to develop affection for her. So far I enjoyed seeing him break from his shell and welcome changes around him. Ps: his ex is the worst and her new play of emotional blackmail to her abortion wasn't warranted , she didn't plan to ever tell him about the child's condition but brought it up after he decided to sue for hash. Her and her new spouse are good for each other.

Thomas Miller Really well done. Good writing, great acting, hope it comes back for a second season.

Magda USA One of the most Outstanding Kdramas this year 2025! Great story line, great cast of wonderful talented great actors! Leading male actors Lee Jin Uk and female actress Jung Chae Jung are great! Great chemistry, and can’t wait for some romance to happen between them. Seems last episode will show some romance between them. I’m glad for episode 11, exposed animal cruelty there. I know South Korea had a terrible reputation for abuse of Golden Retrievers and the fact they sold dog and cat meat. We know of the owners of the American organization that helped saved many Golden Retrievers from SK. I’m aware the law passed in SK that protects dogs and cats against such cruelty. Great move for SK. Again this Kdrama is Excellent! And I hope there will be Season 2.

Adhityo I really enjoyed watching Beyond the Bar. The drama offers a refreshing take on legal cases, with each episode presenting a meaningful and thought-provoking story. The chemistry between the lead actors and the character development make it a standout legal drama this year.

Pak Hyon Kuk I'm in episode 9. 40m in, I am part of the Optalyn group who has a video conference with Hynicore group. My name shows up in actor credits at the end of the show when aired for JTBC Hyon Kuk Pak 박현국

Olya_1004 @Magui his name is Ha Kyung ,they still haven't updated the actors for the recent episode

Magui Does anyone know the name of the actor who plays the psychopath animal torturing character in episode 11? Thank you

London Tommy A quality production spoiled by laboured product placement.

Kristine Every episode in this drama leaves you something to reflect about. It is well written and even the subs is really good.

michael did they change the scriptwriters?

ep10 was also another downhill..looks like hasty written script to end the drama. the FL was annoying and goes back to "i am very pitiful pls pity" "i am strong but i am pitiful background" "i am very sad human on the earth exist" while her face reaction looks like someone i dun care this drama/totally noob. really hard to keep watching

rara the subtle hints of romance between the main leads in each episode is driving me crazy....i know I'm not alone in this ship (-_.-)

Y_neel One of the Best! I am on my toes every episode. It is very informative too.

michael i wanted to praise the drama but ep.9 was the downhill..the scriptwriter/producer/actors and every1 involved in it literally allow and encourage doctor to play god and tried hard to justify it.

this ep should not even be aired.

Fayehsa ep, 9 the doctor literally play god. because she refuse to follow her oath.

J This is one of the best drama this year, and currently the best on going one. I just wish there is romance between ML and FL, they have so much chemistry

Zz An interesting drama! Full of lessons and interesting life quotes. The analysis of love as the changing colours of a rainbow is on point. I'm invested in it, kdrama has once again delivered a great drama, really wish there could be romance between the male and female lead, he needs to have his own rainbow. He has so much love to give.

snow I must say that this is really interesting, I was not into k-drama nowadays but fortunately I was hook up with this. I can say that I'm more into a romcom and historical genre but apparently the story was good and the characters are also fit in the drama. I was looking forward to the main leads to grow their relationship and open up with each other. I know that this drama is more focus on legal and workplace stuff however the main leads deserve extra/grown relationship lmao. I mean knetz should not be bother with the age gap and stuff, cause they're grown ups and they know how to handle professionalism. So please, in the last 4 episodes make them a couple even if it's just in the drama, cause they nailed to be a couple.

Supremacy So the new agenda they're pushing in Korea now is euthanasia? First Mary Kills People now the 7th episode of this drama... It'd just sickening and disgusting.

Alvin This drama has many layers and dimensions. Every character shows their own strengths and unique roles, while their personal lives and corporate disputes are both engaging and highly relatable. The moral lessons in each episode — tied to different cases are exceptionally well-written, emotional, and logical. Based on episodes one to seven, this drama truly deserves a top rating in 2025 (applause) !

AquaStar Really enjoying this drama. The leads make you want them to get together. Very interesting plot lines. Our male lead is dreamy but tough.

Nimi Our handkerchief couple lmaooo,I’m glad I jumped on this after watching law and the city which annoyed me a lot…beyond the bar is what a law drama should be and the age gap most people complained about is why I’m loving it….i can feel the chemistry from episode one…law and the city had more attractive leads but there was no chemistry and it was plain boring!!

Waiw This is one of rare drama with heavy topic in law firm and legal issue.

Anira Allen Completely seduced by complicated plot and characters. Very satisfying viewing.

joo EP 5 -What happened to the two ladies who had a Tattoo bet? I wanted to see how that went Lol

Adhityo I haven’t watched a Korean drama in a long time, and Beyond the Bar is the first one I’m watching again. The story feels refreshing, the characters are engaging, and the legal cases make it even more exciting.

lucky its amazing show. FL is soo pretty, happy Hyeri didnt accept the drama..

MDD For me, this is the only K-drama worth watching and following in August 2025.

Jim Outstanding drama. The script, acting, emotion, everything about this series is amazing. I can’t wait to see more episodes!

Dhast Please get the romance in ASAP, can’t wait. I like when the lawyer has the power to beat the bad guy, inside or outside the courtroom.. Anyway Lee Hak Joo is doing great as the supporting role. Why only 12 episodes ??

Harold Jackson Awesome.... Great writing.....

I look forward to this series every week.

Again I repeat..... this series so far..... is awesome.

Celeste Beyond the Bar is a great show. The chemistry between the the Lee Jin-wook and Yung Chae Yeon is brilliant. Glad the writer took us outside the boring box. They are so good together! Cast is great. Thank you!

Iwiz brilliant story about legal fighting case by case. two main characters are smart with different style but they are no nonsense characters. cool

Tats This show made me kicking and giggling whaahfoaemfhawiefmhwa,

SPOILERALERT but like its fked up how the ex wife is pregnant with the new husband when the ML wants a baby so much. The last scene of ep4 broke my heart T_t

Miri Absolutely fanstastic! Brilliant Cast and storylines…now another weeks wait until the next 2 episodes - toooo long!!!!

Tatotiee Ahhh I need it to be romance drama, is it? I hope so

Binge I love this K-drama! Please Netflix hurry and release the remaining episodes — it's left me hanging after just two! It's highly recommended and definitely award-worthy. Lee Jin-uk one of my fave. All casts are great.

Connie Good series.... Can't wait for weekends....

Angeline Fajardo At last after shelving a number of kdramas for being boring, predictable, and senseless -- my search is over! Beyond the Bar is another binge-able watch! Can't wait for the coming episodes ?

NOOO good drama but I did not expect hints of romance between the main leads that's like a managing partner dating his own first year associate that's disgusting

Hyperborea Very exciting personalities/characters, interesting content, great actors.

Sakura08 My current obession! The first two episodes were a solid start! I love the cast! Appreciate the good chemistry between Lee jin uk and Jung chae yeon. It has a good story flow and the dialogues are well-written too! I'm glad I have a new series to look forward to every weekend! Can't wait for the next episodes!
