A virus outbreak occurs at Hyosan High School. The infected quickly turn into human eating zombies. Students at the high school must now fight for their lives, while they look for a way out. Nam On-Jo (Park Ji-Hu) & Lee Cheong-San (Yoon Chan-Young) have been friends since they were children. They are two of the students trapped in a classroom and surrounded by flesh eating zombies. Meanwhile, the Korean military work to isolate the outbreak and protect the country from an even larger outbreak.

as Yana writes a little earlier, I also think my meh impression is based on bad writing as all other aspects a drama has are greatly implemented. Camera, scenery, sound, actors are all great.
Currently I'm not sure if I want to watch S2 though. I had a similar experience with I.R.I.S, I only watched 1.5 episodes of S2 back then ...
Nik Feb 12 2025 5:41 pm I really like the zombie theme, but honestly, in my opinion this K-drama is kinda dumb or intented to be. And there always has to be or more 455h0l3 ... I'd even throw some military dudes into prison after martial law was lifted ... So many unlogical actions, I don't know, maybe I'm the one who can't accept seeing this and switch off my brain while watching ;D
But it looks like lotsa people like it.
At least the actors gave all :)

Kpopandgrime Jul 16 2023 8:48 am To be Honest , loved this little Kdrama . Perfect Mix of Zombies and School Life . Outstanding production on all angles except EP 11 which was poorly done . This EP 11 might ruin it for some , But the rest of the Kdrama was perfecttttt .
The cast really done a superb Job, really portrayed their characters to the max . Big round of applause for all !!!! And Season 2 has been confirmed which is a plus , Highly Recommended to all . Daebakkk !!

Yana Jul 07 2023 3:38 am I just finished watching the drama. Here are my thoughts about the series:
The first six episodes were really, really impressive despite the noticably flawed writing. The cinematography and directing was spot on, the pacing was perfect, and the characterization was done very well. Basically, all the notes were hit accurately and perfectly. It was thrilling and addicting as you follow the story of young students trying to survive the zombie apocalypse.
However, the last 3 episodes became less interesting because of consistently poor writing, and illogical decisions of some characters that led them to their deaths. Also, what happened to the cure? I am not convinced there is no cure since the teacher said to the detective that there was. I understand that the detective and the other guy with him were confined in the evacuation center but why did they not try anything after being locked down? Their characters became useless after that.
kai Jun 24 2023 2:52 pm Listen yall i got a theory about becoming a hambie,in the begining Lee Byeong-Chan The teacher said the thing for becoming "mad" like the zombie is fear,so like what im trying to say is that if someones turning and they're not afraid there wont be any fear that would become anger and "madness" like the zombies have right?..thats why Nam ra turned into one,Gwi nam and Min Eun...and Yoon I-Sak almost turned into one aswell but after she discovered she was bitten by the zombie and she realized it she started feeling fear and when On jo calmed her down..her eyes turned into normal...but when Cheong san took On jo away she started panicing again...and when she looked in that mirror she knew its over...and she turned into a regular zombie...im pretty sure this is whats happening..if im right Cheong san is 100% hambie...because after he was bitten he wasnt panicing or afraid..He just stayed calmed...and when he tried to save everyone by screaming he still didnt turn and im pretty sure its been way more then 5 minutes since he was bitten and in the fight with Gwi nam he still didnt turn!...so thats my theory and im pretty sure its true not gonna lie...i hope it is.

Like wtf will she always stiffen up when she's in danger, can't she just get herself together and understand it's a matter of life and death. Srsly her character is so frustrating

She's a freakin' high school student. Not everyone can be brave all the time in these shows and it would be both unrealistic and boring.

I keep waiting Eunji to find Gwinam to take revenge but she just leave the school like that. but whatever I can't for season 2 hope Namra and Su Hyeok can be together again. not forget Cheon San still alive.

Chelsea Nov 18 2022 9:06 am I love this series and watched 3x already but I really don’t like On-jo’s character the most. Her constant stupidity is unforgivable. In a zombie attack, you don’t need to freeze and just wait for someone to bite you. Sure, she had those brilliant ideas to save her peers but it doesn’t make me like her character. Too bad, she’s the main lead in this series. Good thing, there’s Suhyeok, Cheongsan, Namra and Minji to root for.

But the Korean nationality guarantees a certain harshness in the violence, and more radical emotional situations, as well as since it has clearly become relevant in recent series from the Land of the Morning Calm, a real questioning of the dominant social and political values. All things that the Americans have not known how to offer us for a long time in their popular entertainment (did they ever know it, by the way?). And on all these points, we must admit, if we are in good faith, and if we don't focus too much on the small scenaristic facilities typical of the genre, "All of us are dead" does its job impeccably. It makes us smile, scares us, horrifies us, moves us, and even makes us think.

Show doesn’t actually bring anything new to the table. If you’ve watched or read enough post-apocalyptic flicks and books, then you can fairly predict many things. There’ll be jump scares, bits of love interest, in-fightings, and that they’ll whittle down the characters until the end (including the ones you're rooting for).
Directing and production values are good. The library chase is one scene that stands out as fresh in particular. The large cast and multiple storyline keeps you guessing who'll survive, with some characters (and actors) standing out in particular.
While certain parts are gratuitously violent or gory (or both), this might not be a problem for hardcore fans of the genre. Young adults and/or those new to dystopian action might probably enjoy it.
As for me, All Of Us Are Dead is one of those casual watches. It's not one I'll rewatch again but I've got no reason to dissuade others from seeing it.

They are so dumb to go back to the school after survived, and even ask the half zombie friend to go with them. They don't know it will make all the sacrifes (to bomb the city) that military did just useless, because the half zombie still can eat humans and spread the virus. And even they don't want help with the investigation.. How stupid they are! But yeah i can understand because they are still teenager and not stable emotionally.

This drama is really overrated. The main story of of those class kids is really not interesting. I feel that the story from archery team is far more interesting and the charactaer is badass.
I just realized that this drama is from writer of L.U.C.A then I know aghh that is why the story is really meh and dumb plot.

Mangkr98 Feb 23 2022 5:35 pm (Spoilers) When bitten by a zombie, people will also turn into a zombie. The case with the Hambies is that they were bitten but not truly transforming into a zombie.
-When a person is bitten by a zombie on the neck and/or above, they would transform into a regular zombie. -When a person is bitten below the neck (like an arm, leg, etc.) they have a 50/50 % chance of either becoming a regular zombie or becoming a hambie.
-When a person is bitten by a hambie, it is also a 50/50 % chance; if turned into a hambie, there is a slight chance they won't be able to turn anyone else into a zombie.
-Gwi-nam (the bully/antagonist)-He is a hambie that can still turn humans into zombies or other hambies. -Eun-ji (bullied/victim)-She is a hambie like Gwi-nam. She gave into her hunger. -Nam-ra (bitten by a hambie Gwi-nam)-She became a hambie herself but she can't turn anyone into zombies or hambies. Unlike Gwi-nam and Eun-ji, she does not give in to hunger; though it has been shown that she is fighting her hunger on multiple occasions. -Cheong-San (protagonist/possible hambie)-Though it is unknown, there were signs of him transforming (bleeding nose, etc.). If he is alive, like many people are believing he is, then he would very likely be a new variation of a hambie. -from what I have seen, he has a fast regeneration ability since his bite on the arm from Gwi-nam has heeled though the bite marks are still there. He also seems to be immune to fire; he was not burning like Gwi-nam was when the flames ingulf them.

Great acting from the actors but the writers didn't explain enough about how the virus infects in different ways. All of us are fruity/hj Anyways this was just a typical kind of zombie apocalypse with some plot twists where a person can always be some stronger after they get bitten. It's not getting intresting tbh unlike train to busan if you get bitten (you die/turn into a zombie period.) But anyways it's just boring if that happens my opinion but I love the fandom and I don't mind about it's hmmm well typical zombie + op(?) characters

I feel like the staff extremely worked hard to bring a show with this amount of excellence! I cried, laughed, got shocked, etc. didn't expect it to be such a masterpiece istg. Full of plot twists and unpredictable situations. I finshed it within 3 days.

Shocococo Feb 10 2022 11:02 am @llr some people say that when you get bit the saliva goes into bloodstream directly and can cause infections faster, but when the saliva of infected goes in mouth it goes inside guts which have very strong acids that kill the virus, at time of corona outbreak many ppl said same that if virus enters your body and instead of reaching your lungs if it goes ibto guts then guts will kill it.
Altho i agree with majority opinions about plotholes and dumb reactions, also what mainly got to me was when army guys shoot at female leads father with million guns and bullets like a high profile terrorist is escaping, like seriously? Wtf was that ? Buttttttt many ppl criticized characters for slow responses i disagree with them as it is scientifically proven that people tend to freeze in face of some unexpected dangerous attack even when they can duck and run. I also have severe fear and i know i can freeze. Also these students are high schoolers not trained special forces.

I can't help but to dislike Onjo's character because she is so selfish. Maybe because I'm used to a selfless main character so a forever sad and gloomy Onjo didn't suit my taste. Being sad for losing your friends and father is okay, but seriously she was being a bitch just because cheongsan confessed? She literally invalidated jimin's feeling of losing her parents just because onjo missed her father?? I just???? Among all protagonists, Onjo and Jimin were the ones making conflicts (ofc except the short haired shibal girl)
Then the teacher was bit by a zombie, she immediately became 'free', none of the zombies attack her anymore until she turned. But when junyeong was bit, he was still attacked by the zombies until he turned. I just???
Second, in earlier episodes, we could see the victims almost immediately turned to zombies like few minutes after they were bit but it didn't apply to junyeong and cheongsan. Even cheongsan still ran around and fought gwinam until the school was bombed. I just????
But overall, a good and interesting drama to watch. So intense.

One thing i can think of rn that i felt was stupid was when the two main couples kissed each other's partners and they didn't get infected. I mean that's direct exchange of body fluids, much like when you bite into someone lol. And it was also weird how selective the 'immunity' was. I thought when the main villain delinquent bit the class pres and made her 'immune', it would be the same for all his other victims but when he bit that psycho pink sweater-wearing girl and the junior archery club member, they all just became ordinary mindless zombies..? Honestly, i still don't understand their explanation about who gets the damn immunity. Something about their state of being while getting bitten ? Idk, wasn't explained well so I just forgot about it. I also didn't like how most of the time, the girls from their class just stood around in the back when zombies attack while all the boys do the fighting. Really?? I'm glad the senior archer girl and her potty-mouthed friend appeared cause if they didn't, i'd be super frustrated with this show's writers. In an effin apocalypse, i know for a fact that girls won't just act like helpless damsels in distress. ? if it was me, i'd be whacking zombies left and right using the power of adrenaline. And lol, how long were they stuck there? They really didn't even try to get food or water? Honestly surprised they survived and wasn't more 'hangry'.

Why? Because it was my first time watching these casts and at first, I was like “this was a typical zombie drama”, but surprisingly it was not.And glad they made it just 12 episodes or else it would be very boring to watch. I like how the director/writer not just focus with the students, but they blend the story with other casts like the Youtuber, army, politician, etc. Every episode they created a scene where the viewers will have mixed emotions.That’s why I like Korean dramas. They put a lot of effort in the props, even the extras/cameo zombies dressed and act like zombies well, and the overall cinematography for me is well done. This should have season 2 like Cheo Sung is still alive or something. And of course NamRa too.
--I read comments about On Jo’s role here but I didn’t see any issues with that. I think the writer purposely made that character to blend with the group.

And what was that scene on the rooftop??? She literally was face to face with Gwi Nam yet she didn’t react or scream or anything like girl??? Do you not have any sense of urgency???

However, there are a few details that the director and script writer missed that a lot of people would find annoying. Here are a few that I remember out of the many...
!SPOILERS!
1. On Jo's dad had a stupid death. He was close to the gate along with his daughter and friends. The zombies were so far away from them, and they had a lot of time and room to run towards the mountain. He stupidly blew a whistle to draw the zombies towards him and got himself eaten. 2. Cheong San's mom also had a stupid death. She was safely hidden in the woods, and purposely called out her son's friend who was an obvious zombie to get eaten. She was well aware of the situation since she saw the news, and has came across some zombies on her way to the school. 3. Not a single faculty was smart enough to survive. 4. Yoo Joon Sung, the fat kid who was with the archers got stabbed on the abdomen. If he was stabbed there, he will still be able to run, or at least walk fast without anyone's help. 5. Why would the military try to chase and kill On Jo's dad who was running towards Hyosan? It doesn't make sense. Any logical authority would use that much man power to chase someone going outside the quarantine zone. Not those going towards it. 6. During the stairwell scene, why weren't the firefighters able to close the door and tied it instead? The door looked fine. 7. The assembly woman's group had a hard time opening the lock to the roof top when they were about to ride the chopper. On Jo's dad easily opened the same type and size of lock, with just a few banging and kicking at the police station when he took a gun. 8. Nam Ra already new she had super strength after fighting with Gwi Nam, and she knew she's undetected by the zombies. Why did she not try to help and lure out the zombies especially in the construction site and at the gym when her friends tried to escape? 9. Why did the military immediately try to shoot the cop and Eun Ji when they were just obviously talking to each other on the street? 10. Why were those the only students who survived? The school population was too big to have only 6 students surviving in the end.
Those were just a few of the many stupid/annoying details that the director or script writer missed. Other than that, the staff, extras, and cast did a really good job.

Other than the bullies who are always hateful and lame, other characters I find very annoying are the girl who hits a guy and thinks it's ok to be violent towards a friend; the guy who lets this happen maybe thinking it's gentlemanly to accept a beating when it's wrong for any person to hit another person regardless of gender without a good reason; a self-absorbed brat who thinks she's above everyone else just because her parents are rich; semi-freezing when there's a clear danger coming (i know freeze is also a natural reaction like fight or flight but it's still very annoying to see characters being an inconvenience to others just standing there getting in the way like a lame damsel in distress); of course, the bullies who appear to never get in trouble even if they basically "killed" and sexually harrassed their school mates; the adults who see bullying in front of them and don't do anything; the school head who only cares about the school's reputation; and so many other tiring tropes; the handsome popular guy who was a former bully was almost likeable, except he kept annoying girl's token and kind of led her on, making it appear like she has a chance when he already clearly likes the class president. I hope they get good character arcs. The series is not bad, it's just hard to like any of the characters. I guess that is to be expected when most characters are teenagers because that is the phase when people are at their most dramatic, most stupid, most ignorant, most self-absorbed, most cocky, most cringe and therefore most annoying.

I believe drama has a very philosphical meaning and approach towards issues more than a zombie drama. And the philosphoical message goes nit just in korean context but it is global as well
As such i dont like the drama because of same overly done zombie theme but in this drama some very important questions are put forward by professor lee byeong chan. The best dialogue for this entire drama as well as of all kdramas i watched comes in episode 4 from prof byeong chan in interrogation room, "We live in a system of violence. A nobody like me can not change the system".
We live in a system of violence is the best line i have heard as it serves as a confession regarding functioning of not only his country's society but also holds true for the many first and third world countries. The weak in any spheres of life are bullied and forced to tolerate injustices either due to biased law enforcement agencies or convoluted societal structures. If we study human civilizations we will see a pattern that no matter how great those civilizations were when they went corrupt, started oppressing weak without any accountability those civilizations perished either by way of natural disasters or brutal invasions.
Prof byeong chan is trying to give same warning and raise same point, if you will not fix your society's cruelty problems and not end cycle of vilolence then you will create monsters that we will destroy your entire society, country, populace. Which is also why we see zombie characters not just attacking peiple but actually eating them up in gruesomest manner. The society ignored the weak's calls now it is inflicted with monsters who are heartlessly ripping them apart ignoring their pleas just as they ignored pleas of weak. An apt representative of entire system was Na yeon who writer intentionally showed as microcosm of society ; a bully, elitist, picks on weak, even kills him for being poor and smelly, and as a result was given no redemption opportunity even tho she tries and was given the most gruesome death of all And we can see the same being reaffirmed when authorities heartlessly decide to bomb entire city even when they knew that would kill healthy people.

April Feb 03 2022 5:36 am SPOILERS. I really hope the 2nd season will focus more on Namra. She is the best character in this series, her character development is amazing, and at the end it seems like she's able to control the transformation in her body. Although it is impossible to hope for a happy love story in this genre, but I really hope they will reunite Namra and Suhyeok in the 2nd season, or at least some PD recruit them as main characters in a 'normal' genre where they could have a happy ending relationship, because their chemistry is so strong and it would be such a waste if they don't get to play another role together as a couple.

i gave the show another try although i still think that the plot and the characters are still meh, i was able to sympathize with the characters especially with on-jo losing everyone she loved despite me being annoyed with her character from the few first episodes but her character grew on me and her reactions and actions were appropriate and understandable.
i feel like the actors/actresses weren't the problem because they did well although some of them were stiff in the first few episodes but still, they acted good/decent IMO.
it's more of the writing/plot i have a problem with, like did the director completely forgot that the detective existed? (which is unfortunate because i loved the actor who also played a character i loved in Prison Playbook, which he did well in.) the professor's solution was way too anti-climatic for the person who's watching and i personally think the show was dragged on.
in conclusion : the story didn't have an impact on me, personally.
also the police questioning the students reminded me SO MUCH of Until Dawn's (a horror game) Ending Scene, to the point it's almost the same. (i can't be the only one who thinks this right?)

The plot was really dragging honestly why do Gwi Nam became a hambie instead of other characters. I gave it a chance LOL because of my Happiness Post Drama Depression. What's keeping me going to finish the entire series was Nam Ra and Su Hyeok interactions. Hoping for more dramas for both of them in the future. TBH they overshadow the 2 leads Cheon-sang and On Jo.

This series is supposed to be focusing on the school and how the students learn and adapt to survive from 0 to hero. We need their character changes to be a better person to survive the zombie. And how dare they add Gwi Nam to the story, he always disturbs the main story with killing everyone and chasing Cheong San. But overall love the zombies! They're just so ugly lol

Do not make a decision base on your emotions. It can just lead to some thing worst. Third, last but not the least is being kind to one another won’t cost you any amount. So choose to be kind always.

Yes, as we all know, Korean zombies are great athletes and they multiply quickly. But beyond that, the writers present a story that have us think about our own society - the values of the young and the elders (hope vs. wisdom); the good of the few vs. the good of the many; the bullying, etc. I watched all 12 episodes in one weekend and I will for sure watch it again soon.
Like others, I would like to see a season 2 but the 12 episodes is a good wrap on its own.

It was different than any other zombie themed movie/show I've watched. I love how it's not just about survival - it's about humanity, sacrifices, love, friendships, loss and pain. The characters are likeable, relatable and as a viewer, you become attached to them and feel hatred for the "bad guys" too. the villains of this show were portrayed perfectly. I'm blown away by Gwi-Nam's (the actor!) performance. 10/10. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Please let there be a season 2!

The writer is excellent in getting this across, from the slow reactions of the students AND adults to the empathy, survival instincts using hope as the catalyst. All of the actors also did an excellent job of portraying how most of us would react to an unbelievable situation we'd only heard or seen on a movie screen.
From the bullying, the realization any one of our fellow human beings could be equally morally deprived given certain situations, the taking of a friend's life, to showing each segment of our society & its weaknesses the director and writer filled each episode within the 12 ep series.
My suggestion is watch and rewatch to fully realize the depth of the writing. I would've been killed right away since I would've frozen in place.

It looked like even makers did not pick her as female lead they only gave her few extra scenes like showing her family ,home,personal life and last few scenes which are normally given to female leads in other shows. I dont dislike onju like many comments here but iagree her contribution was so little that she didnot deserve to have female lead like coverage which i felt makers did as they wanted the actress to also have significant screentime. She could have been treated as other two girls in the bigger survivor group as supporting character ,either this or her character should have been made substantial than just a girl who sits in a corner and cries but gets treated as queen.
Anyways i dont dislike her character but for a female lead like image given to it writers should have given her stronger presence. As of acting i found onjus performance better than actress playing nam ra. Nam ra was very robotic and expressionless throughout like even before she became a zombie.
Cheongsan,suhyeok and gyeong su and other males in survivor group, the actors playing them did good job. Eun ji was my favorite character both in acting and as character. I dislike cheol so more than gwinam.
easy Jan 31 2022 9:13 am Namra, Cheongsan, Suhyeok, Hari, and Mijin are the best characters in this drama especially the trio Namra-Cheongsan-Suhyeok basically carried the whole show with their bravery acts and action scenes. I like Onjo's character too. She's kind and smart when it came to emergency situation but the impact of her role was quite dull compared to other characters. She's the main protagonist though. Special appreciation to Onjo's dad and the detective and cop duo! Lee Kyuhyung has always delivered a spectacular performance in every drama he was in.

On the other hand, the other highschooler did performed well. Especially Chan Young , Yi Hyun, Lomon, Yoo Mi Jae Hyuk and Seung Ri. The police group also delivered their funny lines suavely and I really loved their part. Most importantly, kudos to those people behind this series!!!

sunflwrssss Jan 31 2022 5:34 am a bit of SPOILERS. i like this drama, it's a pretty good zombie movie but i think it's a bit too long, some scene is a bit draggy and i think 8 ep is enough. my favorite characters are cheongsan, suhyeok, daesu, and the rest of the boys. the boys in abandoned class have such a great chemistry. i like the bathroom/archery group, minji is kinda annoying but she's funny sometimes, ha-ri is a girl crush. the actress portraying nayeon is very successful because she makes me Mad and more of what she did to gyeongsu. in the first episode i feel bad for cheolsoo (rooftop guy) and eun-ji, but then i feel so annoyed by the fact that cheolsoo didn't open the rooftop door. i also think gwinam is a waste of time. he's very great but he got nothing to do except running around chasing cheongsan to take the phone?? well he turned into this superhuman or something so i guess he didn't care about anything anymore. i also quite like namra's character development

Some parts of the story are kind of weird/annoying but overall story is very entertaining. I hate it when characters have 5-10 secs delay before reacting to the situation like wth are you standing there staring lol. The lead actress is kinda bland but maybe bc she doesnt have much experience. Like when Cheong-san got bitten and she’s like err thats ur reaction. 9/10 got me hooked again on zombies.

Also ppl are asking why onjo didnt turn into a zombie when she was bitten by hyunjoo. Its becuz it was just a scratch from avoiding to get bitten by her.

-the lead characters are highly unlikable especially the lead girl, the tomboy and the heavy set guy. -the comedy doesn’t hit right and mostly misses the punchline -they said noise attracts the zombie yet they talk really loud make noise etc and we see no zombies attacking at that moment -too many characters that are unnecessary, even if they were part of the webtoon they should’ve lessen their screen time on the show. -the actors for the zombie or infected people are too amateur-ish there was a scene in the hallway where the zombie ducked before getting hit by the wooden door/frame carried by one of the lead actors, i was like huh? I saw that and the editor or director didn’t bother reshooting or cutting that part out? -its not clear if the zombies eat their victim or just bite them? Sometimes they just bite and sometimes they eat them? -the scene where the president girl started to summon her “inner strength” and developed super human strength was tacky af, so is this now a adventure fantasy? Not horror? -there are some scene where the blood and gore look extremely fake and painted on and they didn’t even bother fixing it.
Overall its a 6/10 for me, I would’ve given a lower rating but I love korean zombies movies/shows

And according to this drama, getting scratched doesn't turn you to one until the person got bitten. Others got scratched too in the drama but didn't turn. First, she had feelings for suhyeok so ofc she’ll be annoyed/sad/mad seeing namra and suhyeok tgt. Second, she wanted to wait instead of rushing to get out since she trusted her dad that he’ll come and save them (which he did come but very pointless since he died smh). Third, she refused at cheongsans feelings for her since she didnt want to lose any bestfriends(like isak) and she was ofc having trouble with it. What im saying is that hating on a character that has done nothing so wrong is so pointless smh. All of them portrayed their characters so great so whats the point in hating. Its so obvious that theyre gonna make a s2 since almost not everything has been shown.
Also ppl are asking why onjo didnt turn into a zombie when she was bitten by hyunjoo. Its becuz it was just a scratch from avoiding to get bitten by her.

They gave every caracter the moment to shine and the time they deserve and im sure they will be s2 seeing how the serie top in alot of countries.
And im sure cheong san didn’t die i hope he team up with Na Ram as a special team force to eradicate the remaining zombies and as a reward they can eat the fresh meat of criminals with death sentences XD.

I skipped some scenes cause some felt heavily un-necessary, like for example the bully scenes I skipped cause all he did was the same thing kill whoever he sees (sorry that’s just my opinion), I did however like the fight scene between him and Cheongsang (but I agree with a lot of the comments below saying he didn’t need to die). I thought it was odd how suhyeok was so okay with namra being half zombie even though she tried to eat him multiple times. I did not like the fact that nayeon was not able to apologize for everything she did instead dying minutes after she tries to leave to get to the group. A lot of it seemed repetitive in a way but I can’t say it wasn’t interesting and fun to watch. I also really wanted Eunji and Gwinam to fight it out that would of been epic. I did however like the fact that Kim Byeongchul was sort of the villain in this since I loved him so much in Sky Castle. I give this 7/10. Fyi my this is my opinion.
Future kdrama star Jan 30 2022 11:34 am I watched over 2 days. It was good. Not the best zombie series, for me it's Kingdom and Happiness. I think the actors did well. They are talented and so cute but parts of the story was frustrating and lacked logic.
They focus on the 2nd lead characters so much and let the lead girl suffer losing everything. The parts that really lack logic is how many exception they make for Nam-Ra in the 2nd half of the show. She evades the high pitch noises. She almost killed On-Jo and the Su-hyeok ran off after her then On-Jo ran after her. That makes no sense. I think it's the writing or editing. The push to make the ending about Nam-ra felt unnatural.
Cheong San needs justice LOL.
I like the dynamic between Cheong San, Su-Hyeok and the other boys. They acted well with each other showing a little rivalry and lots of bromance. I like the Archery and Toilet group.
One actor not mentioned in the comments is Na-Yeon. She is a strong actor! Her part was smaller but she shined.

If you try to think that you are God yourself, it won't help you and will just worsen things just like Byeong-Chan and Gwi-nam. If you have seen one of your classmate being bullied and you didn't do anything to help, you're an accomplice. No one's really an outcast, they became an outcast because someone made them feel like they are. My anger issues got worsen because of Cheol-Soo (the rooftop guy), I really don't understand why, I mean, you experienced it yourself, getting stuck hell outta there, no one's helping you, so why do it to others??? Doesn't he feel guilty, because as I remember he was so happy and unbothered. But anyways, those students in the classroom was just so real, like please stop hating On-Jo, you guys are not sure you can't do the things she have done in the series. Yes, she is a bit lousy but she was so intelligent and not panicking??? That's the only thing that can help you to come up with solutions. All of them was worth to remember, they have their own sacrifices and survivalist, even the police officer and the assemblywoman really did a great job. The police officer was a mood tho hahahahaha. But all in all, I love this series, it's just that I'm kinda sad for the ending because Cheong-San got bitten, but the plot twist here was we never see him change or turn into a zombie. So, I am really expecting for Season 2. And if you guys have noticed, there's a lot of side in this series that wasn't reveal, we hope yet, and that's all hehe thank you guys if you're reading until here.

I thought was pretty decent, the actors played the roles really well and how they were meant to be portrayed such as On-jo who everyone seems to be hating on. Really liked the acting of Nam-ra, Su-Hyeok and Na-yeon. You gotta remember they high-school students trying to survive a zombie apocalypse who were let down by 95% of the adults they thought they could rely on. Of course they are going to make stupid mistakes just trying to survive by themselves. The only issue I could see was the lack of eating/drinking and some of the blood splatter could have been more realistic. Also for those saying On jo was bitten she wasn't, it clearly said that she got scratched avoiding being bitten. Overall i really enjoyed this show and would love a second season, would love if Cheong-San came back and was one of those halfbies with Nam-ra.

I thought the great adult would be onjos father but I hate it that he ended up dead like wtf? After, he's done and now he found her daughter he'll get bite? Lmao.
And also, the detective too. He's a fool. I think, he's here for a dumbest role. Lee kyu hyung is great actor and he's really popular. But fuck they gave them that boring cringe role.
Overall, the adults are not helping at all. There's should be at least one adult actor that gives an energy to the full series. But its not. Its just the students and that's it.
Last, gwinam and eunji there are same hambie but I was really hoping they'll get to see each other and have some clash. But eunji once bitten, she became evil. I was hoping though she'll be with the main cast but it's not.
Last last ~ for me Namra stand out the most. I really love her vibe. Changyoung too but all of them and are very pessimist. The only thing I've seen smiling and give a light and courage to the survival students is Su hyeok.

The archery team are cool. Nam Ra character is cool and I kinda enjoyed watching the romance development between her and Su Hyuek....

The show maybe used to promo new actor generation of Korea, since the old ones are aging, dying. The plot is very catching and I found it pretty logical for every character to deal with anger, love on the way to survive. What do you expect highschool students to do? Fight like a veteran? They are full of mistakes, and that is what made the drama realistic. It is clear that all the students acknowledge what is zombie, with reference from Train to Busan. Yet, they dont know how to aim the head, or disable the zombie ability, mobility. The most impossible thing I found is they dont show any sign of hunger, dehydrate or lack of strength after 2 days without eating and drinking. I like Nam Ra best at the very beginning and till the end. She is the one that think and protect, alert the whole team all the time. But, love is what break her. She only show that her background is what made who she was, but not how she is. I hope Yi Hyun will take more action lead roles. She is totally born to take those. 7/10 is my point. Really hate how things escalate fast while people act so slow.

Mijin is still the best character here. Onjo and Cheolsan are the worst. They all kept on trying to sacrifice themselves. The story is changed a lot here too. I hope they just kept most parts the same as the webtoon (like how the virus originated) and not 100% sure but the half zombies don't have super strength or enhanced senses also. I have too fast forward on most scenes and try to change the speed just to finish this. :(

I can't even remember the title of the last one set in a condominium compound. Just feel that all's quite predictable, no outstanding characters so far. In fact, this story is presumably set after 'Train to Busan', so the students should not be totally surprised by the behaviour change of their classmates who had turned. I much prefer :'Sweet Home'. Just to be fair, I'll continue with ep.2 to see anything else could turn this into a potential chaser kdrama.

As someone who likes gore a lot, its the best!! So realistic even I felt like vomiting.
Though some may say the acting is average, I was quite engrossed in the emotions. I really think the CGI/effects and the story covers up some of their flaws. I would say much better than Hellbound.
Zombie shows always have their typical storyline so I would not have high expectations for any difference. But I do look forward for a different zombie storyline, considering they know 'Train to Busan' haha.
Don't think there will be a purpose to do season 2, but maybe a Namra side story might be nice. Really love how she plays out her role and also her other dramas as well.

I didn't feel much from their acting, or love interest. the adults are really good though. zombies are good . the story are good but i don't think it will surpass squid game.

Every sacrifice made a really big impact for every character and viewer. If someone died in the Webtoon, I didn't feel anything and just let go, but in this drama each death is really painful and sad. Great job for all cast!
Btw, Son Sangyeon is really different here from Racket Boys, he's really great!
A+ Jan 28 2022 6:47 pm Amazing and enjoyable! Binged all 12 eps in one go. Full with stupid decisions by irrational and emotional teenagers who shall forever be scarred by a broken system. The story touches more than what happens in the school but also the major systems in SoKor that further disappointed these students. Most deaths were satisfying concluded and even with each twist and turn, the story perfectly mirrored and tackled all manifest and latent SoKor social issues from bullying to politicization.
It has all the tropes found in all other K-Zombie series and films and yet it managed to add more elements to make this show standout from the rest, especially with the ode to Covid-19. Watch with the lens and perspective from a teenager and you will realize how their decisions were “valid” given their situation.

As this page already shows, there are multiple groups, I wish there was a more equal screen time for all of them. But it makes sense that they don't to preserve "main characters", etc.
