Richie Dec 14 2025 2:31 am Wonderful drama that happened in reality. Very sad ending though. Life move on.
Disgust May 06 2025 7:40 am This drama is on incest. How can Kyung-soo and Young-shin be in love with each other? Even though they are not related but the love between the two would be incest and unacceptable. Se-jin has a valid point, if the two of them got married and have children, how are they going to explain how they met and fall in love? Young-shin will explain I fell in love with your father because your father is my guardian. The first few episodes are interesting because it was on family values. But when the children grew up, Kyung-soo was turned into a dirty old man by falling in love with Young-shin. Young-shin turned away Park Jung Hoon because of Kyung-soo - she needs her brain examined and be checked into a mental institution
Julieta Apr 12 2025 1:34 pm I watched this drama last year. All I can say is this was a master class on narcissism. If you know, you know
Hae Jin Jun 06 2024 12:58 am Okay so I finished it all. I didn’t completely hate it as I thought but I still don’t like Jung Hoon. The story eventually grew on me.
Hae Jin Jun 05 2024 12:22 am I loved it at first. Then I hated it. I hate the character Jung Hoon. Hate Hate Hate. He’s a terrible person. I did like Young-Shin but she hurt her friend for a man like Jung Hoon? Seriously? Ugh
Mike Oct 26 2023 11:16 am I saw the whole series and although I enjoyed the early parts of the series, it slowly went downhill for me due to the plot. I think when I really was disappointed was when the FL was kidnapped by the evil character and was never reported for that, every single person who knew, including the FL, did not report her...are you serious?! Not only that, they tried to give redemption to the evil person without any punishment! Are you kidding me?! Because of such egregious flaws in the plot, I felt no feelings for any of the characters. 120 episodes and time in my life that I can never get back...my fault.
Kat Oct 16 2023 4:39 pm I Love Love this drama! Its very well made. I Love How they all come to the restaurant to eat. I Love a very Nice family drama.❤️
BUHALLA Sep 07 2023 2:35 am My family and I enjoyed this drama. The feel and the tempo was nice. . Very good setting. Perfect
Progress Aug 08 2023 4:21 pm Drama that reminds me of the coward written who does a silly 360 turn when he sees the controversy looming.
Mike Aug 02 2023 11:45 am I agree with the mostly negative comments about the writing. As far as the acting, they're simply doing their job. At best, 3/5, but I continue to watch. There's not anyone I feel for or like. The med student is so wimpy, I hope I never have a doctor like him. An honorable Youngshin would never work at the bad lady's restaurant and certainly, live in her home! That was a ridiculous storyline. Oh, also, Kyungsu and Youngshin were both kids when they met and not blood related, so to write an incestuous relationship was another ridiculous plot, the other friends had relationships with each other. Although the writing is weak, I watch it because I want to see the ending, kdramas end, unlike the American soaps that go on and on, endless, which I never watch.
Park Min Mar 13 2023 10:50 am Sometimes there are few selected dramas that shouldn't even be submitted to the network for approval and this is definitely one of them. My soul has been drained out from this abomination and I don't feel like writing too much. It's impressive how one writer can miss up this hard. It takes a talent! This drama is classified under "rage bait" and "abysmal ending" labels, it's manufactured that way. This drama is a waste of carbon emissions. If I'm not clear enough, you're very much highly recommended and advised to absolutely turn around far away from this cancerous tumor.
Juliana Oct 27 2022 9:22 pm I am enjoying the drama. There are funny parts and you can tell Young Shin is today’s youth in comparison to the older dramas from around 2007. It used to bother me that the youth were so respectful that they would just take a slap to the face or be bullied by the adults. The characters personalities are pretty well-maintained as they progress into adulthood.
byul May 03 2022 5:18 am Worst Korean drama I’ve ever seen.Is it impossible that young shin is falling in loved with ja hee who is looking after her since she was child.it makes me so uncomfortable so disgusting
Sprogress Apr 12 2022 2:07 am This is one of the worst drama I ever watched as for the writer what a coward why start what you can't complete only for you to kill Ja hee off no way, its been almost a year I still haven't gotten my disgust about this writer.
Alice Feb 23 2022 3:43 am This drama look interesting esp the intro but seeing it will b 120 eps is quite alarming. Plus the comments here kinda very discouraging. ..n weak script & its full of despicable characters. Btw ive no prob the main character fell in love. Female lead is 28 and male lead is 41. They re not even related by blood or have any step or foster relation. The fact is he is only her guardian when she was kid. 15 years diff but b together at consensual age n both still single. Cant see whats the problem with certain picky ridicoulous viewer.
sdcks Aug 18 2021 11:06 pm oh no. O-Bok's grandma in the drama passed away. she was one of my favorite actress in this drama. may she rest in peace. I say her in Mouse as well. so sad. I bet the cast must be feeling so down. Rest well
Quantum Nurse Aug 14 2021 10:24 am The twist of events that a guardian is falling in love with his protégé is so alarming and makes me uncomfortable watching “A Good Supper”. I would urge MBC and other major broadcasting companies to put forth a summary that indicate a romantic relationship between a guardian and his/her adoptee so that the audience would be able to choose to watch or avoid this type of love story. Not everyone is comfortable with the love story between a guardian and his adoptee.
shih wen chien Aug 09 2021 12:07 am Thanks to the interesting 1EP, well-done! It brought me to know and then chase Jae hee, an amazing actor, has become my favourate K-actor.
What an innocent and kind person is , Kyung-Soo from the beginning to the end in this drama. He always brings peace to everyone. ? Great Mercy Kyung Soo and Young Shih own , especially are extremely kind to that bitter mother. Well, it is getting so difficult to cook , eat or chat for one meal a day together with your family in 3C world, isn't it? I like the family's interactions around the dining table. Let's appreciate the scripwriter and director's kindness. Pity thing is there is no BIG SWEET SURPRISE about romance to major audience, and there are some controversial topics like old traditions and age stereotypes in Oriental culture . As we know, it still has quite a few touching affections there. To me, something is beautiful that KS and YS could enjoy chatting after dinner, It means a lot to them, right? Again, thanks for all the team workers , I like the 4 little ones and all the cast, it is an interesting family drama in 2021
apache Aug 07 2021 2:56 pm Entertaining with drawn expectations only to end so unjustly tragic. One might say the script was written successfully to leave viewers drawn from episode to episode, and the scenarios are "Through The Looking Glass" colorful, but the warmth and goodness was continually doused with betrayal, deceit, avarice, and malice. There is redemption for all those to salvage their failed lives, but the price falls on the two whose love for one another is true, and for all their compassion for one another, they are left with life and death never to share it. The story ends out of balance and with empty bitterness.
Michele Jul 30 2021 11:17 am I love most of the characters, but this show is so poorly written. What a shame. It had potential. Skip it.
Thom Jul 19 2021 5:57 pm At the end of Ep109, Kyung-Soo saves his evil mom Sook-Jung from getting hit by a truck and bangs his head on the street. In the beginning of Ep110, there is no mention of how he got his full memory back. But, now he is diagnosed with lung cancer! Can't wait for Ep120 to end so I can watch Second Husband. :)
Nelli Jul 18 2021 5:40 pm Cannot stand kdramas (far too many) that characters never having to be accountable. And characters that let others get away with anything. Go file charges! How stupid is this drama. How incompetent the writer. Think it ‘had’ the possibility of being at least a decent drama but was ruined by complete stupidity of the writing. What a waste of time. What a piece of trash as far as dramas go. Gotta remember the writer & director and will never watch anything they do again. No talent at all. Torture the reputations of fine actors with horrific storyline/ writing. Ugh!!
Thom Jul 13 2021 7:45 pm I can't believe Young-Shin lets Sook-Jung walk all over her. I'm looking forward to the new drama Second Husband to air. A Good Supper was a total disappointment. :(
memento Jul 11 2021 6:33 pm the scenarios of family dramas become ridiculous, the writer had to leave before the end.
bokchoi Jul 09 2021 6:06 pm yeah that ending was a bunch of BullCr*p but it happens alot with these family dramas.... its always heart attacks, stroke, cancer, alzheimers, amnesia, getting hit by a car, falling down the stairs. LMAO!!! as usual crappy writing
Cp Jul 08 2021 11:43 am Did somebody put horror in horrible storyline in the end.
ImZen Jul 07 2021 7:01 am Watched about 80ep and then i stopped but keep following (spoiler/comment) time to time to know how the story goes... Apparently it turns in really bad direction. What a pity the beginning was cool.
Chuck L. Jul 05 2021 1:52 pm This drama took the worst of North American soap opera writing to a new level of mediocrity: Convoluted storyline, egregious script, and actors obliged to be excessively stagey and pretentious. It was sooooo bad it was actually fun to watch, but thank goodness it didn't run any longer.
Kdramaaddict Jul 03 2021 4:39 pm So much potential. It was much better when they were kids and about family. It turned really weird when they became adults and romance got involved.
I think the writers should write the ending first when they write a story. Just weird, really weird.
Aiko Jul 03 2021 10:26 am Worst Scenario, The Worst Ending Ever, Coward Scriptwriter, Director and Producers!!! Cause of age difference, they just blindly whipped a horse who knows to where! 120 episodes of wasted lifetime!!!!
Lucaa Jul 02 2021 8:59 pm Please ignore if i am being too harsh but what the heck was this drama actually about. Total waste. Such a crappy story. Started off on such a good note. They made fun of relationships and its just like some crazy person wrote the script. I didnt like any character and hated young shin the most. So much pretense in acting. Total waste of time. The writer should actually be banned. Really liked jae hee so much from chungnyang drama, but this drama just degraded every one's career. Sheesh!
Frustrated Jul 02 2021 7:29 pm Wouldn’t it be interesting to hear what the actors and actresses thought of this drama? Poor dear ones, script must’ve been given to them along the way!!! They must’ve just been disappointed!
Joyce Jul 02 2021 6:28 pm The worst drama, worst scriptwriter, worst storyline, worst wardrobe for the FL. The writer deserves an award for being the worst scriptwriter.
Tah Jul 02 2021 4:50 pm What happened to this drama’s storyline?! I loved the beginning with the children and how they built their characters, but something happened about three quarters of the way through. I cannot figure out how the “mother” figure did not pay for any of her evil crimes. I was hoping for a last ditch save where she sacrificed herself and her son was able to have a lung transplant and live. It is a fictitious drama after all! Instead all that mess happened at the end! I cannot fault the actors because they all portrayed their characters very well. Maybe I am just tired of ridiculous self sacrifice for no reason plot lines! Ugh!
Joy H Jul 02 2021 4:43 pm Cruel ending... Terrible writer. Wasted our time patronizing a 120 episode drama to be very disappointed at the end. Don't forget this lousy writer's name.
Ketlendsl Jul 02 2021 12:14 pm SPOILERS. They tried to make a very sad drama and they made a mess. The beginning of Kdrama was wonderful and I loved it until episode 70, 80, after episode 90 the crap started. The writers had everything to make beautiful kdrama and they ruined it. I Prefer To Avoid All This Writer's Drama. 1. A murderess free and have everything in the end. She didn't even care her son 2. The protagonist married a manipulator and never loved him 3. The protagonist was strong and self-reliant and suddenly became the weak little woman, a tipical korean woman 4. They placed a family insignificant the end 5. They married uncle with a beautiful woman and we know that in real life it's not like that, this can happen but was artificial (he was one of the best characters) 6. They made a mess and took a long time to find out the facts 7. It was supposed to be a kdrama about food and ended up becoming a tragedy 8. It could only be 50 episodes 9. They held you until the end and don't have any twist 10. They killed the best character in the series. The only character who are strong and sensible. I know in real life nothing is perfect and we're in the middle of a pandemic, i watched thinking of a sweet ending but i come out incredibly disappointed. Note 1 for this Kdrama, as I really liked the beginning. I've always been a fan of familiar kdrama, i'll give others a chance, but I'm warning you, I've watched some that the main protagonist dies and it's disappointing. Writers, thank you for making this story terrible and frustrating.
tran Jul 02 2021 8:51 am (SPOILERS!) I have to get it out of my system so I can move on. I'm upset. I'm disappointed. I want my time I spent on this drama back. I came to this drama with an understanding that it would be a complicated love story with a happy ending like A Good Supper.
How disappointed it was for me. What's with all the building up the love between YS and GS, can't live without each other and she ends up marrying JH? And what's with all the sudden JH become a sympathy person marrying YS to save her and makes GS happy? I says it's all bullshit. I would feel much sympathy for YS would she had not married JH, takes time out to grieve for GS, then she can marry someone else in the future. Now no sympathy for YS and don't even like her. She led me on a fake journey wasting my time and GS's life. She should have left with JH three years ago. It's maybe hard for GS, but time will heal him and he could have had a chance to meet someone else. Now he die lonely at young age with no love, no wife no children.
Jae Hee as GyungSoo is my favourite of his latest dramas. I so want to re-watch again just to see him. But I cannot because YS is always there with him and that makes me bitter.
And don't want to talk about Mrs Choi. I believe in forgiveness too. But going back to live in the Chairman's house happily like nothing had happened is just so wrong beyond words.
Ketlen Jul 02 2021 7:05 am I didn't cry because of the drama being sad, but because of the frustration and lost time.
Disappointed Jul 02 2021 2:36 am As we are now coming to the last episode, I would like to express my thoughts of this terrible drama. At first, what drew me in was the children. Highly intelligent children that had a good relationship with one another. Then the writers decided to go another route. This drama had no meaning behind it. The script was everywhere. Just didn’t make sense. Did a grown person write this script because it just didn’t make any sense. If any other writer decides to remake this drama, please don’t have GS raise YS let the teacher and wife raise her so in the end GS and YS can be together. Instead of the crazy thing that is going on now. Please, don’t cast mrs Choi. Her acting was horrible. Please put an updated scenery background. The current one seem to be from back in the 60’s. Do something about the Wardrobe, it was so outdated. Most importantly, have the evil doers pay for their crime. I do believe in forgiveness. I can forgive them while they are in jail. If you are going to do a drama, make it appealing and enjoyable to the viewers.
Courtney Jul 01 2021 2:39 pm GS better not die YS and JH won't be happy so why is she forced almost to marry him?
Ketlendsl Jul 01 2021 8:30 am We're getting to the final episode and I'm crawling to watch it all. Everything started beautiful and wonderful and suddenly (because of nasty comments in Korea because the age of the protagonists) they decided to separate the best couple. This writer seems to like making stories like that. But thinkwith me, a psychotic and murderer are free and they don't make nothing, the friend's parents appeared out of nowhere to make the story more confusing, the beautiful will marry a possessive and manipulative while the true love of her life is in front of her and probably gonna die. I so wanted a change at the end of this story, because if it ends up the way we imagine, this will be the worst kdrama I've ever seen in my life. I avoid watching when there is a tragic end. But since I got this far, I'm going to watch the last episode.
Sorry about my English (:
Disappointed!!! Jun 30 2021 1:51 pm I have never seen a KDrama where two people show an intense love for each other as YS and GS only to kill him off and force her to marry someone she doesn’t Love. This has to be the cruelest and most idiotic writing I’ve ever seen. There’s two episodes left. I hope there’s a twist to this that will please viewers. If it continues as is I will definitely not see any more of this writer’s shows.
Giri Jun 30 2021 10:27 am One of the worst, or rather, The Worst drama I have ever seen! They unnecessary killed off the best character, the ML and allows the evil person away scot free. I have never seen anything like this. The writer should be blacklisted for treating viewers this way.
Two of the worst characters, Mrs Choi and JH turned good overnight, the FL is so foolish and can't stand on her own two feet! The rest of the characters are just meh! Never ever will I see this writer's drama again.
IC Jun 30 2021 6:32 am Really sad how the writers spoiled the whole drama in the end. Why did they even start YS GS romantic thoughts, if things were to end in this way. This is literally torturing the viewers who invested so much time to such long series. I started watching this show because of food genre as I like korean food and food shows.. but first time I am so much disappointed that I am writing a comment here. ?
Quantum Nurse Jun 30 2021 6:12 am My humble opinion, the actress has a difficult time to interpret how to act in a tender loving romantic relationship with her “Ajeossi”. I am so displeased with the script of “A Good Supper”, the bad written script does not allow Young Shin character (Actress Jung Woo Yeo/Ryu Hyo Young) to perform a continuous engaging character. I decide to watch “A Good Supper” because I like the actress Jung Woo Yeo/Ryu Hyo Young in “Golden Pouch”. She is fun to watch and really engaging from episode 1 to episode 122 in “Golden Pouch”, her creative acting performance is exceptional in showing the different phases of Geum Seol Hwa emotion. I hope actress Jung Woo Yeo/Ryu Hyong Young will find many good scripts in the future and bloom in her acting performance. I miss that spunky lively “Geum Seol Hwa” with long powerful dialogues that actress Jung Woo Yeo/Ryu Hyo Young convincingly portrays in “Golden Pouch".
Su Jun 29 2021 9:20 pm Jung Hoon should stay away from YS, he should be able to see where this is going. YS is either going to pine for GS for the rest of her life and be depress once he is gone, or she ends up with GS bc there has been a misdiagnose, a wrong result or he will be cured. GS does not look like someone who has little time left.
JH needs to let go of YS bc she cares for no one except for GS. She will do anything to make GS happy, to the point of calling Mrs. Choi ‘mother’.
Most of the characters end up being annoying in this drama. The latest annoyance beside YS are those two parents of Bok, especially the blonde mother.
Ketlendsl Jun 29 2021 5:54 pm This drama was being my favorite, but since episode 100 it started to get drawn out, boring and sad. if the story has the ending we're imagining, this will be the most unnecessary drama I've ever seen. These writers made the drama good, become boring in the final episodes. Now let's see how the long-awaited ending will be.
Steven Jun 29 2021 4:55 pm Very very sad episode (117) and it looks like the writers really want to give us a kick in the teeth and have GS close his eyes in the final moments of episode 120.
We will never get to see how all the character's lives play out after his passing. Terrible thing to do to those of us who have watched this series five days a week for three months. Very cruel writers.
anika Jun 29 2021 4:33 pm I have never left a comment on this site before regardless of if I loved or hated a show. This one I can no skip. I can not believe I hung on until the end. There's only 4 episodes left and I feel like Young Shin's character is just going to say 'Ahjussi' or 'Jung Hoon-ah' for 80% of her screen time.
So much water treading since about ep. 74 and with Jung Hoon's pointless redemption arc, I'm not even going to get the satisfaction of his crap character getting hit by a bus. Never mind, Ms. Choi living her life without any real punishment. The plot was lost around the time Ms. Choi's brother showed up. But Mr. Lee's stupid interference and Young Shin's stubbornness and sudden stupidity just made it more frustrating.
Quantum Nurse Jun 29 2021 9:24 am @ Su ...I cannot believe the script writer would create a "Young Shin" character that starts as the smartest kid on the block, and ends as the sorriest millennial woman in the 21st century. Women are so independent and I am proud of all the young women accomplishment, but definitely not the one that is created by this script writer. What a shame.
kdrama_since_early2000 Jun 29 2021 9:22 am this is such a good drama until to the point where the plot went towards to the lovey dovey Gyung soo and Young shin. But it become annoying when the haters of that relationship between them are crying and even considered it Incest/pedo which clearly they have no clue what they are talking about. So if the writer/director decides to kill the character of gyung soo, i wont be surprised if it was because of the strong opposition/pressure from the narrow minded viewers.
Su Jun 29 2021 7:55 am The problem is no one tells the truth here. YS is the dumbest tool in the shed and she is annoyingly stubborn now. I can’t see how she will get over not being GS lover. She yearns so ickly for GS. She deserves and needs major psychotherapy treatment right now.YS treats Choi as if she was her MIL! What a disappointment YS has turned out to be. She was such a bright child.
Thi. The writer seems to have lost track and is just stuffing ‘a bad supper’ into our throats. No beautiful ending but only leaving a sour taste in our mouths. Jun 29 2021 1:37 am This show is so anti-climax now. Actually I looked forward to this drama everyday at the beginning. Looking forward to a beautiful ending but all we get is that the story is getting more ridiculous with each episode. The writer seems to have lost track, what more with digressions and don’t know how to end the story well and is just stuffing ‘a bad supper’ inside our throats. Have lost enthusiasm for this drama.
Seoul Manila Jun 29 2021 12:03 am Episode 116 is so ridiculous it makes my bp and eyebrows shoot up! Not only does Choi get compensation, not get imprisoned for her crimes, she will also still get to live in the Kang mansion despite almost causing her ex hubby's demise? Asking someone to marry who has flatly refused his love even as a gf, someone who isn't still over a loved one is highly unnatural! Then the focus on the annoying parents of Oh Bok is really irritating. Just give Young Shin time to mourn and get over GS. Hating the way this series is turning out. Sucks to be GS.
Jacquelyn Jun 28 2021 7:38 pm I continue to watch this drama due to one of the supporting actors but really, the writers need to go back to school. This drama has more low points than high points, character development is lacking, and the dialogue is only fair. It actually started out with some promise when we saw the youthful characters and it was sad to see that the writers chose to not let those traits go forward into young adulthood.
Steven Jun 28 2021 5:52 pm Really? Are we really going out of a 120 episode series like this? What did Oh Bok's mom and dad add to these couple of episodes? Nothing.
Are we going to watch GS close his eyes for the final time the last five minutes of he last episode? Since his diagnosis of cancer we never saw him get one treatment, take an aspirin, and he seems like he is ambling around at 100% and not someone the Angel of Death is waiting to scoop him up any second.
Just a bizarre way these past 10 episodes played out and I don't see these last remaining four to be anything that will make us feel good. The writers should be sued for theatrical malpractice!
Icenote Jun 27 2021 11:23 pm Young shin is the dumbest character in a drama. I actually hate her more than I hate the main Ms Choi.
At least I know I’m supposed to hate the villain, but it is especially sad that the writers make me hate her because of how incompetent they are.
Icenote Jun 27 2021 3:53 pm Why are people defending the YS and GS angle? Not only do this dumbass crap come out of someone’s intent to badmouth them, it’s beyond creepy.
Seriously, they keep trying to string us along for this pair and it never stops being creepy!
Also why did YS start off the show so confident and competent but ends up being the same noble idiot that ever family show is plagued with!? Like she knows the lady is evil but literally goes along with everything.
Also GS, Do Something. Your Mom Is Evil And You Talk About IT But Do Nothing!!
Loony Samcheon Jun 26 2021 5:26 pm Just finished episode 1, so I'm not as up on the plot as most of the commenters here. But I will say this. Imagine if the dynamic was flipped and Young-Shin was on the receiving end of romantic pressure from Sung-Chan. I think we can all agree that would be all kinds of ick.
Here's the important part: That same creepy discrepancy in power and authority is still there, even if Young-Shin is the instigator, even if you can't see it. It's why so many people still revile Woody Allen for his relationship with Soon Yi.
Quantum Nurse Jun 26 2021 10:13 am I have stopped watching "A Good Supper", however, I enjoy reading the comments. I hope Young Shin does not attempt to commit suicide. There are so many accomplished suicides by starlets and movie stars and also copycat suicides by the fans. The script writer should ponder what would happen if this PG-13 drama has a suicide scene by the female lead character. There are so many young TV audience that would be affected by the scene. I am so disappointed by the script writer that inserts "Oedipus Complex" romantic relationship between guardian "Ajeossi" and foster child Young Shin, and "if" there is a suicide scene. It is so troubling.
Su Jun 26 2021 7:53 am I know my view is definitely not shared by the posters here but I truly think the feeling that YS and GY have for each other is icky and it is hard to get past that. I know that they are not related by blood but they had lived as parent and child. He raised her up when she was 8. That love might be pure but it still feels wrong as GY seems to think so too. The person who thinks that it does not matter is YS. She has the diner family rooting for her getting together with GY. The creepiest part is the wedding rings YS had gotten ready to join GY in death.
Seoul Manila Jun 26 2021 1:33 am I'm still waiying for Choi to get her comeuppance. The recipe book, the Diner, should not fall into her greedy hands. For the audience's catharsis, and for karmic payback, she should've been the one to have gotten sick, not the benevolent, kind, and good-hearted Gyung Soo. At first, it felt icky to have romantic feelings for your adoptive Dad but they aren't related by blood anyway, so we started rooting for YS and GY, but then the writers made an about-face and determined it's not meant to be, I can accept YS meeting a chaebol but it's so unfair to kill-off GY. Choi should be punished for all her wrongdoings not her good son. This supposed 'Good Supper' is leaving a bad taste in its viewers' mouths.
tran Jun 25 2021 11:22 pm @winnie, I can understand, GS is the goodness and he's is Mrs Choi's son, all the good things he did, does is kinda counter the punishment Mrs Choi supposed to have. Parents and children are connected. But I still hope Mrs Choi didn't intend to have the car accident to cause YS's mom death. Still have 5 more episodes don't know if the truth will be revealed. As the moment still hearsay. So many times she says to YS and KS that she didn't do it. I feel like she told them the truth. I don't know why she's so evil and bad but some how I feel deep inside she loves GS and i always want GS to bring her to his side. I noticed she call the Chairman 'honey: as well, for me I thought it's nice. Even though they divorced but there was no hard feelings. There was no love and no hate. It's kind of interesting to see because not many will be like that.
winnie Jun 25 2021 3:33 am A Good Supper Kdrama
I also unable to comprehend all the evils deed by Mrs Choi suddenly forgotten. Also I still unable to comprehend President Kang visited Mrs Choi and she still addressed her ex-husband as Y-Bu (honey) in Ep 114, offered to help her out financially.
I also unable to comprehend Gyung Soo still treat Mrs Choi as if nothing happened.
I can understand Gyung Soo character in the drama be put to illness, because of moral issue. Anyway if the drama is to end up with Young Shin and Jung Hoon together would be too much to digest, Jung Hoo brought flowers to Young Shin is weird scene. I have been following the drama and trying to understand the storyline of each and every characters , Jung Hoon is not suitable for Young Shin. So could be Young Shin further her studies after Gyung Soo not around and after finished studies returned with a conglomerate son better than Jung Hoo.
Yoana Jun 23 2021 3:26 pm I dropped it last week and I would give this drama a 3. Why?
The attention of the public got deliberately distracted by the relationship between the two main characters in order to ignore the message to be sent here: do not harm, think no harm. And now, all the evilness is forgiven and forgotten, while the one who kept the family united is killed in order to satisfy the greed of the moralists.
So, loving someone is far more condemnable than killing someone.
lee Jun 23 2021 3:58 am why cant the two be together their love is so pure and real, they did not do anything shameful, i hope it is a happy ending for them
RpR Jun 22 2021 10:19 pm I am so disappointed to think that my favorite character in A good Supper will die from cancer. It seems like the writers couldn’t think of a solution to the relationship between Young-Shin and Kyung-Soo so he’ll die from Cancer and that will end any unpopular criticism. Personally, if this happens it will be the worst ending EVER!!!!!
Courtney Jun 22 2021 11:44 am can't Young Shin and Gyung Soo just finally be together? it's funny how disgusted Jung Hoon was with Da Jung's previous behavior but he's doing something similar. It's YS's choice and she didn't choose him! She'll allow to change her mind YS just needs to tell him move on, it is never going to happen
Mary Joy Ngitngit Jun 21 2021 5:08 pm This is the reality, age gap bet. a relationship is always happening now a days ,there is no incest issue here because they have no biplogical relationship at all. I agree with the script writer,if the two end up as a lover.Just saying.✌?
Cheung Eric Jun 21 2021 11:10 am I wanna see healthy Kyung Joon and Young Shin get married and raise many children If Young Shin and Jeong Hoon are married, then this drama must be a super lousy drama, 120 episodes, wasting the audience's energy.
nwerd Jun 18 2021 11:05 pm who's the actress that plays pil-sun? my god she's so pretty. I'd like to see if she's in anything else
Joyce Jun 17 2021 9:44 pm I’m all for YS and GS being together in the end. I will be disappointed if otherwise. Isn't it how the story of their endearing love will overcome all obstacles and the wicked will be punished according to the degree of their sins
Brenda Jun 17 2021 6:39 pm I really love to see young shin and GS get married. Am rooting for them...hurry
lee evelyn Jun 17 2021 1:58 am i dont like the acting of young shin lacks of indept feelings but i love the story ajussi, the mother is the moving factor she is a great actress, cant wait evry episode
Abby Jun 15 2021 10:40 pm @Fanlady It's Loved and Cherished by Haelin, you can find it on Spotify and YT :) It's a beautiful song and once you look up the lyrics translated, you really feel the impact. It's from YS's perspective while the new song is called One Person by Eru (the male song they were playing for the last few episodes, it's sung by the actor who plays the Sung Chan) is from KS's perspective.
Fanlady Jun 15 2021 8:41 pm . Anyone know anything about the recurring theme song? And who is that singing? Loved the whole show despite others’ negative comments
Richard See Ah Keong Jun 12 2021 9:50 am How the producer can come to have such a script , one of the worse and tiring movie I ever come across …… so monotonous even at the initial few episodes …..
Florence Jun 11 2021 10:23 pm Episode 105 is crap! Why is the senglish subtitle suddenly got messed ? Totally wrong!!!
Jacob Jun 08 2021 12:51 pm
This show can be so frustrating. People just need to tell the truth about events and it’s sorted. Young Shin gets kidnapped for days, nearly murdered and doesn’t reveal the truth or report to police and speaks civilly to the person who kidnaps her afterwards and carries on as normal. Ridiculous.
Lorraine Jun 06 2021 5:05 pm I been a Korean Drama Fan since 2006, and A Good Supper is exactly one of a kind!! I absolutely Love it! Waiting each week for new episodes plus decided to rewatch 2nd time and Loving this drama even more! Great cinematography & Acting...Thank You!!
kdramafan Jun 06 2021 5:22 am epi 99 omg too bad i only watch 5 min of this epi the rest was skipped i was only watching the korean restaurant and the chairman inheritance part from the beginning but even this part has become so tedious and utterly redundant so theres nothing left for me to look forward the only thing i want to konw is how the chairman finds out that yong shin is his daughter so i will come back for the last 3 epi. ciao, au revoir, hasta la vista baby hahahahahaha
tran Jun 05 2021 5:52 am I like this show, first off its make up team is way better than Vincenzo!!! Make it beautiful to watch. Vincenzo looks like vampires with white face red eyes, bad make up. This drama has beautiful scenery, Adorable young casts. JaeHee from Delightful Girl Chun Huang. Both female leads beautiful. The love story isn't conventional And of course all the senior casts, they're good .
After all it's A Good Supper and it will be a good supper.
kdramafan Jun 05 2021 4:48 am epi 98 omg terribly disappointed in the previous it clearly showed that the ahjussi was dead from that terrible blow in the head i jumped to this conclusion cz i thought the writer was making amends of the unpopular love story of the lil girl and her foster parent by eliminating the ahjussi but still dont know if he is gonna fully recover and continue this prohibitive love story or fall into a deep coma until the end of the drama effectively ending this dirty love story anyways the chairman inheritance drama is getting to its peak with the umpteenth time that the wicked lady is getting away with all her terrible bad deeds and schemes i am still hoping that he will find his ex girlfriend and yong shin mom kim ji sun photo somewhere in the house and remember everything and ditch the terrible wicked lady out of the house looking forward for next epis
Soeul Manila Jun 05 2021 12:31 am I loved the parts about the kids and the kind diner family but the script turned cliche esp with Choi's kidnapping, murder, and constant lying. The latter episodes ahow that crime pays and that Choi can get away with anything. Come on, after finding Young Shin, no charges for kidnapping were filed? And if you find out your long lost Dad, wont you inform your Dad asap?
Jamse Jun 04 2021 7:21 pm You can really get tired of the noble idiot heroes of these dramas. Even though they prevail in the end, does anyone believe it’s better to “step back” for their lover’s “happiness” when it means you turn him over to the mother he loathed, who by the way also tried to m u r d e r you, and will probably try again? That’s what drives everyone up the wall.
kdramafan Jun 03 2021 7:53 am epi 97 omg omg great epi if not the best so far all my predictions were thwarted at the end of the epi when the ahjussi died am in shock and very sad never never expected this turn of events i thought this would end quietly but no no no now i expect yong shin to transform herself from a docile nice soft spoken girl into a monster full of revenge and destroy everything in her path to avenge the death of her only love in her young life omg cant wait for next epi
Serafina Jun 02 2021 6:23 pm Everyone except the master manipulator Choi Sook Jung is like a lump of clay. No follow-through in what they set out to do or should do, especially Young Shin who is getting duller and more insipid each episode. Her expression is always the same. Her reaction is also always the same. And why does the evil one always get away with her plans?? Her nephew is just as spineless and unforgivable as an accomplice. He is a grown man who can earn his own living. Why is he scared of exposing the evil deeds of his aunt?!? Jung Hoon is another annoying character who is not helpful in any way except throwing tantrum and ranting his unrequited love from Young Shin. Seriously, this type of one dimensional plot should have ended at 16 or 20 episodes at most, but 120!!! Deleting this from my to-watch list.
leletnyo Jun 02 2021 5:49 pm amnesia ......
A J Jun 02 2021 7:43 am That woman should have been arrested for kidnapping and attempted murder. The police should be at the hospital. Is everyone plain stupid???? I wouldn't let that witch near her son. She is evil. The writers and this drama are sick and perverted. Just dragging this drama is so damn irritating. There so many evil and sickening twist and turn in this drama.
1st: When the writers made that witch his mom.... 2nd: Yong Shin forbidden love for the man who raised her???? 3rd: The nephew should be reporting his evil dad and aunt. He is covering the lies. 4th: This isn't normal. So many lies and cover up.
Mamacass Jun 01 2021 11:54 am Watching episode 100, that’s it for me... where is the police.. this lady who kidnapped Yong Shin is still walking around? And they haven’t told Mr. Kang who his daughter is? Moving incredibly slow and I can’t stand it!!! Done watching this!!!
leletnyo May 28 2021 5:57 pm Ending of Episode 95.....
nice cliffhanger for the weekend....
Mikiwatch May 27 2021 11:28 am This show started out so good, but now it seems as though there is no direction. It seem like they are stalling and do not know what direction to go. Choi Sook-Jung is getting away with so many bad things and nobody seems able to stop her, it is so frustrating to watch. She is the worst. Young Shin's inaction is another frustrating thing it is so hard to continue watching! What is the end goal and when are we going to get there? I am done! Why are Sung-Chan and Jong-Kwon so complacent when is comes to Choi Sook-Jung? Kyung-Soo was so passionate like a lion at first especially with regard to Choi Sook-Jung and bringing her down, now he is so docile like a baby kitten. I want to scream "do something!" So sad. Goodbye, a Good Supper!
Nicolefair May 25 2021 8:45 pm I’m trying my best to be patient but honestly this drama should have been over 41 episodes ago. The bizarre relationship twists have turned my stomach. The uncle/niece relationship turned romantic is just gross and the original love interest being tossed aside as an angry cockblocker is just so weird. First I thought ok, cultural differences may be interfering with me accepting the relationship between the two leads... but no, no no no. It’s gross anywhere on the planet.
SangYoonKiBiwi May 25 2021 5:40 am So excited for tomorrow’s date episode. Only 29 more episodes to go so hopefully they’ll act on their feelings before the end. On a side note, our boy has a nice car!
Polly Gonzalez May 24 2021 5:55 pm I started to watch this drama, but later on I disliked the relationship developed between the little girl and the person that raised her. Can't swallow the issue that they would have this kind of relationship. The drama started very beautiful with the kids, but as they grew up the drama had a sad twist. Really not watching it anymore.
kdramafan May 21 2021 8:18 am Epi 87 wow I probably watched 10 or less mins from this epi and the rest was skipped cz am only watching the chairmans inheritance drama but most of the problems had been solved already
I think the chairman will find a photo of kim ji sun somewhere around the house cz yong shin scattered photos here and there to expose the wicked lady and when the chairman finds it that will be the end of the drama the chairman will let yong shin now his daughter marry kyung soo his predilect candidate for son in law hahahahaha and live happily ever after I still believe kyung soo is not the bio son of the wicked lady that it was all her fabrication anyway this drama lost a lot of steam I will dump it if in the next few epis I don’t see a big twist of the plot
Jamse May 20 2021 10:39 pm Don’t we all get sick of this week the evil wife is on top, then she’s down, then the evil sister-in-law is on top, then she’s down and it happens over and over and over again?
Quantum Nurse May 20 2021 10:30 am Young Shin and the "Young Man" Gyung Soo always want to be in their "Mama's Love World", their comfort zone. But time will tell; time will heal all wound, but time will be cruel too. Young Shin has to be able to stretch outside her comfort zone, so that she has the ability to handle what life throws at her. Some person has to educate Young Shin that marriage is not a familiar territory, especially between a guardian that raises his protege to be his wife that breaks the societal norm. We will see. I am still not giving up on Jung Yoon to be with Young Shin and end the story with a happy note, I am a dreamer.
carmen May 20 2021 6:16 am I love the lady that said-even if you moved, your past will always be there and when they have kids and they ask how did you meet? the father will say he race her since 8 years old, like a father and now she is my woman-your mother! And knowing how bullies are in school they may get bullied….oh and by the way I do not believe that bad lady is his mother, time will tell---and now that lady wants to create a false father, OMG
Marilyn May 18 2021 6:07 pm This drama started out beautifully. Then it went downhills. The once beautiful smart kids. The writers made them out to troubled adults. From a moral standpoint,I don’t agree that YS and GS should be romantically involved. That’s so not right. He raised her, now you want to put them together as a couple. Not happy with that.
Jane May 18 2021 5:23 pm Yayyy they both have acknowledged that they love each other!
Seems like no one is judging them for their love either (other than Se Jin and Jung Hoon who can go suck an egg for all I care).
All aboard my KS-YS lovers, this ship is going to Love Island in a few weeks!
Olivia May 18 2021 3:57 pm Still watching the drama no matter where yong shin end up with. Their not related somehow.
JH Fan May 15 2021 3:24 am Like others , from the get go ,I thought this drama was sweet and heartwarming.. After watching the 3 ) promos for this drama ,I was taken in by the sweetness.. Little did I know, that when they hit Young adult ,was when everything was going to get crazy. I had high hopes for this drama only to be let down by the story line of now making Gyung Soo and Young Shin a couple .. I know the main character are the ones that usually end up together ,but to me this is in bad taste ... Yes I herd so many of time they're are not blood related .. ( But truly anyone who has Adopted a child would think of them as there own birth child and not to be look at by the man who has raised her, should not be looking at her as a love interest .) Jyung Hoon has loved her and has gone through many hoops just to be with her .. Only to be rejection many times. Jyung Hoon is still defending her and he's still waiting for her.. I truly hope that the writer take this to heart cause I truly do not want to see an ending that makes me wish I didn't see ,this drama at all. I truly want to promote this drama ,but not with a writer trying to make a wrongful love... As far the Uncle and Hairpin lady, I truly hope they can get married and be happy .. That also goes for DJ and OhBok,I hope they can be together.. I know Gyung Soo may not have a great relationship with Mrs Choi but at least he tries to live with her.. As far as Mrs Choi ,going to jail for an accident that she had her brother commit ..Or seeing Min Gyung and the Brother out of the restaurant cause once YS is found out to be the Chairman daughter ,I'm sure she will be not only be the President of the company and will own the restaurant as well...
Quantum Nurse May 12 2021 9:53 am I am so disappointed with the protagonist male/female lead characters performance. The script makes them look dull. Also there is no on-screen chemistry between the lead protagonist characters, Gyung Soo and Young Shin. The secondary love story between Uncle Yong Koo and Pil Sun is more interesting and heartwarming. I hope the script will let Young Shin be with Jung Hoon, the chemistry is brewing whenever they appear together on the screen. Actress Ryu Hyo Young/Jung Woo Yun is an exceptionally excellent actress in "Golden Pouch". I hope she will be offered a better script after "A Good Supper", she is a very talented actress.
kdramafan May 08 2021 6:26 pm epi 77 am being only watching and interested in the royal cuisine restaurant group whats happening from the kitchen to the lobby to the chairmans house am skipping all the rest the kids stories the young people stories and the diner group with all its mid age couples ,retarded and elderly people hahahaha cz got nothing to do with the main story and its a waste of time perfect spots for the writers to do their usual dragging so i dont buy it anyway my question is who are kyung soo parents in the beginning they said his parents were the owners of another royal cuisine restaurant where ms choi the wicked lady started working as an apprentice and wickedly learned all the cooking secrets from the woman of the restaurant until she mysteriously died supposedly at the hands of the wicked lady this is the story kyung soo knew and the cause of his infinite hatred to the wicked lady but in a big twist of the plot she told him that she was raped by the restaurant owner and that the result was him so that made the wicked lady his mother this revelation put kyung soo in a trance for months how could possibly be that the person he hated the most turn out to be his birth mom omg the wicked lady told him that the restaurant woman beg her to give birth but that she will raise the baby but I don’t believe it cz she is the biggest lier and manipulator in this world I still believe that the restaurant woman is still his mom and that the wicked lady killed her in a hoax to get possession of the restaurant just like she killed the chairmans girlfriend kim su ji ok until the wicked lady don’t come out with a dna test I wont believe kyung soo is her son and by the way who is the old man that brought yong shin to the diner as a little girl he might be related to kim su ji he died few days later after she left yong shin right?? that man is still a mystery to me and the writer is wicked too cz he brought yong shin to the diner at that special age where she can develop some sort of feelings for his adopted parent if she would’ve come lets say at 1 year old then that feeling would’ve never develop I mean a love for a father yes but not a love for a lover like it is depicted here and also would’ve saved all the comments below hahahahahahaha
Gattsukun May 08 2021 1:58 pm I think we're at a Cultural Impasse.
I understand why people would be furious regarding the relationship between Gyun-soo and Young Shin. i get it, but its as people stated. They aren't blood-related. Now, I also understand that in some cultures, that blood doesn't only signify relationships as well, because of the moral weight of one's actions. i get it.
You don't have to like it, but if we're going to be frank about it. It is, what it is. if you don't like it, you could save yourself the emotional trauma and stop watching the show.
I'm in for the long haul. it's quite interesting development and i want to see how the show ends.
Yoyo May 08 2021 1:47 am I dont like the story esp when you watched ep 80 ,the next episode kyung soo and yong shin will be talking abiut their true feelings to each other... Omg, i will have a goosebump how they can be fall to each other since they are siblings... I think this is the reasons why thee ratings are low...to the writers and director you should try to change the title of a good supper to bad suffer of the story, it is disastrous.
Carmasa May 07 2021 11:33 pm I really enjoyed this show until lately, the character development was good and there was enough twists to make it interesting. However, the story shift between Young-Shin and Gyung-soo gives me the creeps. Gyung-soo raised this young lady like his own family. When you adopt a child you become the Dad/Uncle/Brother...not your lover. Just because they are not biologically related doesnt mean he isn't her relative. This is how adoption works. I feel weird watching the relationship change like it did. 40 more episodes....I hoped the writers would bring another female character in for Gyung-soo, who is mature, a Mother/Aunt/Sister type. Young-Shins character has become pathetic and immature and her misunderstood love is just weird. I'll watch the last 5 episodes and hope for a better moral storyline.
Jane May 07 2021 11:03 pm The thing about dramas is that we CAN forget about real life morals and standards. Only in Dramaland can we accept relationships with Aliens, Robots, Nine tailed foxes,Werewolves, Comic book characters, Historical figures, Mythical beings, 900 year old Dokkaebis and spirits.
On top of that, we have dramas that allow relationships between adopted siblings bullies, dating two guys at the same time, fake brothers, huuuuuge age gaps, and even teachers/profs.
These are dramas FFS people, not real life. You think in real life Zoophilia is normal? Or it's okay to have a 900 year age gap? Or dating your teacher??? Of course not! So treat A Good Supper like a fictional drama, and get over it. Don't be two faced and set a double standard just cause it's not your conventional daily drama.
gyasi May 07 2021 5:03 pm Where I come from, their relationship is not incest but I still think the writer should have taken different direction. When you raise someone, you know a lot about that person. I think that when the romantic phase in such relationship graduates into marital phase, Young shin will loose her voice in such relationship because of the respect she has for Gyong soo. If this happens in real life, the lady will be miserably in the relationship in the future. I will encourage writers to stick to our moral values because it what brings us together. Yes being creative is fine but but creativity that goes against societal norms, I don't think it good for the future.
Quantum Nurse May 07 2021 2:35 pm I am not dropping the show because I still expect, after the storm, Young Shin will realize her love is for Joon Hoon after all. This will be "a need" or "a want" love for Young Shin to decide between these two men, a perfectly groomed blow-dry coiffed thick hair Gyong Soo or the down to earth medical student Joon Hoon. I have so much empathy for Jung Hoon, the solemn young man. I hope the "social norms" will prevail and the story does not break the social norms. But do not take my words for it. I am a dreamer.
Diana Lee May 06 2021 1:37 pm Jaehee and Hyoyoung fighting!
Cassandra May 05 2021 10:03 pm Young Shin and Kyung Soo are So Cute together. That confession yesterday and their hug as well as Young Shin telling him that she will forever be his Young Shin, OMG I can't handle the butterflies!
We've got 42 more episodes of seeing them getting closer and hopefully have more skinship. I'm SO excited! :) <3
Jane May 05 2021 3:54 pm Haters gonna hate, this drama is about love of all kinds and the two leads are unrelated both legally and biologically. Two consenting adults who are in love and if certain people can't handle that, they can respectfully f off.
nasya May 04 2021 8:03 am I would like to oppose those who say love story between Young shin and Gyung Soo some kind of incest or they cannot love each other as woman and man. Firstly, even is Gyung Soo has taken care of her for years as her guardian, the interaction between them show not as Father-Daughter relationship, instead like Adult Man-Kid when Young Shin was kid. And when Young shin has grow up, she has learn to love Gyung Soo as a guy/oppa that she always lean on. It is also Gyung Soo always take care of her for his entire young days, so possible for him to develop love to Young shin without him noticing it. I think there’s nothing wrong with it. Also, they are not even blood related.
Leticia Madrid May 03 2021 1:48 pm I love watching this Kdrama, but I am a little put off that they would like for us to believe. That Young-Shin and Kyung-Soo are in love with each other. That is so wrong in all different aspects. I truly hope that Young-Shin will find true love with someone else that is not her so called guardian!!!
Quantum Nurse May 03 2021 1:20 pm In my opinion, there are social norms in society that provide us with an expected idea of how to behave in a particular social culture. It is not a sin, but it is a deviation from social norms, or it violates unwritten rules (social norms) about what is acceptable in a particular society. Even Teacher Lee Won Soo and Chairman Jong Gwon are surprised with the relationship between Gyung Soo and Young Shin.
Steve May 02 2021 8:30 am First of I'd like to say I don't see anything wrong in shipping kyong Soo and Yung shim you all make it sound like he raised her as a daughter but the truth is he didn't the writers we're ambiguous about their relationship right from episode 1 they always emphasized on the fact that she lives with kyong Soo but was raised collectively by the elderly dinners I mean how do you seriously imagine a 20 year old to raise an 8 year old girl child I know I can't but if it's just to shelter her as a legal guardian I can stomach it since I don't have to get too involved with her upbringing
Quantum Nurse May 01 2021 8:48 am A notable winner is Actor Han Jung Ho in "A Good Supper", he is worth mentioning. It certainly not an easy task to act as a simple man Jang Yong Goo. Yong Goo’s unconditional love to the love of his life, Pil Sun, touches our heart. After Yong Goo is rebuffed by Pil Sun’s brother, we painfully notice him walking in the blooming cherry blossom park while repeating “I am 43, my name is Jang Yong Goo, I am a sane person”; that beautiful scenery has become very poignant as well as heartbreaking. That segment in episode 75 steals the show. I earnestly hope actor Han Jung Ho that portrays Yong Goo get a nomination for the Supporting Actor in a Soap Opera in 2021 MBC Drama Awards for "A Good Supper" and wins the Award.
Liegaya Apr 30 2021 10:12 pm My exact sentiments @didifan...
didifan Apr 30 2021 1:53 am I was hesitant to watch this, knowing that Kyung Soo will be paired up with Young Shin (cringe!). Recently started to watch anyway as I like Jae Hee's acting. I so wish Kyung Soo hasn't been Young Shin's guardian for the past 14 years. This ship is kinda hard to support especially if you've watched early episodes of Kyung Soo being parent-like and holding the then little girl's hand. Oh well, we'll see how the drama unfolds!
Jacquelyn Apr 29 2021 9:18 pm While I continue to watch this show, I am hoping that the writers do not try to make a love story between Young Shin & Kyung Soo! The love should remain that of "siblings" and she should realize that she simply fears losing the only "family" that she has known since her grandmother's death. I grinch when I think of it moving toward a romantic relationship.
I like that Sung Chan is finally getting a backbone!
Also, does Yong Goo have a physical disability that gives him the stooped posture or is it the result of thinking he is inferior in some way? He comes across as being naive but not stupid in any way.
I want someone to bitch slap Sook Jung!
Capricorn Apr 29 2021 6:44 pm Ah... Whoever is down there condoning the direction the writers have taken this drama is sick. This has nothing to do with not being progressive and everything to do with noticing the signs of grooming. You don't raise someone from a kid to an adult and take things romantic. And who says Young Shim needs to be shipped with anybody? Bring someone new or leave her single. There's no need to pair her off to the man who raised her. Jeez!
Fadette Apr 29 2021 3:28 pm Anybody have the title of song's drama ? It's lovely ! Thanks !
Aiko Apr 29 2021 12:02 pm Hey guys, who are watching this drama but wailing:” how can writers ship them together??! Its not right, cause he raised her as a daughter/sister!!!” First, there are Not Blood Related!!!( So its ok, it is legal!) Secondly, with whom YOU want to ship her??! With that egoistic trash/childhood friend?? Come on, wake up, please!! GyongSoo is the best man ever, i have shipped them from first episode. Their love is so pure and naive as themselves! I can propose you to watch mini-series “Rag doll”, it has similarities with this drama. P.S. : to show psychos, murder, power of riches is ok, but to show that to love someone (who is not blood related) not ok??! What’s happening in your non progressive minds?..Broaden it to a better optimistically side
Quail Apr 29 2021 11:40 am just wanna say I love seeing Young-Shin & Kyung-Soo , they're cute together!
Susan Apr 28 2021 8:54 pm Very very disappointed where the writers are going with this. I pray they reconsider the story line. It’s not ok to raise a child like a father or brother and then have a relationship with her when she grows up. Are you sure you want to give this message to all the fans of this drama. Please stop and change where you’re going with this!
Lee Apr 28 2021 3:01 pm It took awhile but this drama is finally getting better. They eliminated the kids and made the adult characters more mature. I like how the relationship is developing between Young-Shin & Kyung-Soo, they are cute together. I don't know how it will work out with her being his mother's stepdaughter.
Carmen Apr 28 2021 8:55 am I have the same opinion, of the latest comments how can they make the adoptive men in love with the like daughter? that is so so wrong....she can not fall in love with him...omg let see what happend---
Quantum Nurse Apr 24 2021 8:37 am It gives me "goosebumps" and I am deeply disturbed when character Gyung Soo looks at Young Shin with that longing look when Young Shin is departing to live with Chairman Jong Gwon. It would be fine if they met as adults and fell in love. However, Gyung Soo practically took Young Shin in when she was an 8 years old child and raised the youngster.
I think it is about time that "A Good Supper" shows the hardship of medical school and internship training. How Joon Hoon has to deal with his medical study, the diner family turmoil as well as his pain in loving Young Shin. Joon Hoon must have a steel determination to succeed to survive in a brutal medical training environment. I feel so much empathy for Joon Hoon.
Joon Hoon character is one of the male lead characters, but he only appears as a supporting character and only says a line or two in each episode. It is so disappointing. I feel reassured that Joon Hoon is honest enough to say what he thinks about Da Jung and also about the relationship between Young Shin and Gyung Soo.
Do not take my word for it.
Jhun Philippines Apr 23 2021 5:29 am In the beginning of the story its so fun to warched the children, they are good esp the two girls but when the story focused when yoong shin fall in love to kyung soo its sooo disgusting, and vice versa they in love to each other.. I think this story is about incest... How can the girl in love to her supposed to be father or brother or how kyung soo in love to his supposed to be his sister or daughter ...the writer should change the story yoong shin should fall in love to Jung hoon ...pls change the story, i cant imagine they will marry ?
Kate Apr 14 2021 11:15 am For those who are afraid this is too much makjang by all means watch it. I would call this controlled makjang and reminds me of the older weekend dramas so good!! Great character development
sf9 Apr 13 2021 1:41 pm Jae Hee looked awesome when he said "I'm gonna tell the world so I don't forget that I'm the great lady Choi Sook Jung's son" This drama is so amazing So excited for tomorrow episode
psyche Apr 09 2021 8:03 pm I really wanted to watch more episodes. I wish to watch a hundred episodes. Love you the casts so much
psyche Apr 09 2021 8:02 pm I am having so much fun watching episode 60 especially the last scene where Sook jUNG was being tweaked by grandmother, that's what Ive been waiting for all this time hahahahahahaha
gyasifred Apr 08 2021 4:19 pm Dear A Good Supper Team, I am really pissed off with how you turn my beloved kid character Da Jung into a monster. And are you trying to married off Young shin to the man who brought her up. this is not acceptable.
sf9 Apr 07 2021 4:00 am I wasn't pretty sure but after ep58 I know that young shin is jong kwon daughter so excited to know what will happens when he knows that
Jacquelyn G Allen Apr 06 2021 9:40 pm Just a guess but I am thinking that Young Shin will turn out to be the daughter of Jong-Kwon and his first love (that Min-Kyeong is so desperate to find). As for Da Jung, I have no sympathy for her as the "love" was one sided from the start and was plain as day that Jung Hoon did not return her feelings and that he liked the sense of family that he got from her parents but his heart was always with Young Shin.
Sf9 Apr 06 2021 3:13 am I don't really want that to happen but I get strong feeling that young shin gonna fall for kyung soo in the end Jung hoon won't be okay But honestly they looks good next to each other Not sure about what I wanna happen yet Joon young is a good guy as well This drama plays with my feelings
St Apr 03 2021 1:14 pm Sick of the kids.
Sf9 Apr 02 2021 11:52 am I watched all ryu twin drama n still so confused btw both of theme when I saw the trailer I thought that hwa young the main character in this drama it takes few moments to understand that this is woo yeon I didn't watch this drama yet but I guess I'll love it becoz of woo yeon I really love her
Tybolt Apr 01 2021 3:16 pm Doesn't it seem a bit incomplete to not include among the cast three of the four children who have been featured in every episode from the beginning? At this tense point in the series, they are the only breath of fresh air in the melodramatic chain of events that has taken place since Jung Hoon cast Da Jung aside for her best friend causing everything to spiral downward for the BFFs.
Lacy Emery Mar 31 2021 6:51 pm I am currently on episode 28 and this far i've loved the show but it's starting to annoy me because of the love plot twist. I've shed plenty of tears, even let things go because i related in every way to Da Jung with a long lasting childhood love, it forced me to remember that hurt and pain all over again. Character development is great so far especially O Bak's.
Quantum Nurse Mar 16 2021 10:42 am Wow, the youngsters have longer speaking lines than the adult Young Shin, Jung Hoon, Da Jung. I do hope Ok Bok will keep his composure and stay righteous and be a life long friend to Young Shing/Jung Hoon/ Da Jung. I always enjoy watching the "diner family" having supper together, even the third generation chae-bol Joon Young acknowledges how warm the "diner family" is, not like his family that always quarrel over matters all the time. A notable younger Young Shin's elegant/gracious bow when she is wearing hanbok bowing to Grandma Maeng Soon and Uncle Yong Goo on the Lunar New Year, the child actress must have practiced a lot to bow so elegantly.
I must say, I am pleased the Jindo dog in the Lee Family looks healthy and alert. In some other Korean dramas, the dogs notably look lethargic and sleepy all the time. By the way, to my delight, in episode 43, Mrs. Oh Young Shil (Da Jung's mom) pats the Jindo dog's head as she is heading to the house.
Dee Mar 08 2021 10:32 pm I hate sook jung... She is so evil...
Lilian Mar 03 2021 12:58 am hi all, may I know the location this drama was filmed, especially the scene where they were learning to cycle? thank you so much
Fahmid Mar 01 2021 5:41 pm I love the kids!!!! They're sooo adorable wish there was more of them, at least Flashbacks
Marjorie Sta.Maria Feb 27 2021 2:14 pm i wish there is kids throwback until the end because it's one of the reason why i'm watching this... Cute little Da-jung and the main reason is i'm a big fan of oh young-shil... I love her but in this drama her acting is low energy unlike her past dramas
Musashi Feb 27 2021 12:47 am This just started showing on my local MBC channel. At first I was confused because there seem to be two independent storylines. The kid’s storyline is kinda heart warming. Too bad they don’t get credit for their acting. The adult storyline is a bit catty with the sisters-in-laws constantly fighting each other. The I did not recognize the older brother who was the Father in Bad Love. The younger brother was the Anesthesiologist from Dr. Romantic.
sf Feb 19 2021 1:28 am These rememberings from childhood should stop. We got the idea, and now we should follow today's events.
Quantum Nurse Feb 17 2021 5:45 pm I really enjoy watching "A Good Supper" daily. It really likes watching a life story where they have crushes on their playmates while they are young, and also crushes on their high school mates while they are growing up. Eventually painful break ups and the intense suffering of loving someone. The actors/actresses are great in showing all emotions. I also appreciate all the Korean cuisines and dishes served on the program. It is so heartwarming. The only thing that bothers me is that no one pats the poor dog that lives in the Lee family household. The youngsters like the rabbit, I notice, but not that poor dog.
taera Feb 17 2021 5:42 am I was under the impression that Jae hee is the male lead, and the main romance will be between him and the female lead. But seeing how story unfolding, he is like their guardian, especially he practically raised the female lead. But it just doesnt make sense for having a good looking male lead without love interest so maybe he will has one later.
My eyes actually see some deeper feeling between Young shin and Kyung soo though, they way they look at each other are not how family members look at each other. But at the same time it will be weird since he was already an adult when he first saw her as the kid.
Gg Feb 16 2021 9:16 pm I was interested in watching this drama because of Jae Hee but i gave up watching it because of Jung Woo Yeon. I don't like bullier. Korea doesn't seem to have other beautiful female lead artists who can act well, so they have to use a bullier as the main artist. I'm sorry to Jung Woo Yeon fans, this is just my personal view. But for me a good manner is more than anything in life...
MJ Feb 10 2021 11:55 pm Started watching this drama because of Jae Hee, and it seems that for Jae Hee I will stay. The kids are adorable too. As for the potential love interest for Young-Shin, from the impression I got so far, it’s Jung Hoon. Though to be honest, at the moment he’s not exactly my favorite (personal opinion, of course).
I was surprised to learn that there are several fans here and there that are rooting for Young-Shin and Kyung-Soo, or that at least are getting an impression of such possibility. Personally speaking, I’m not against the idea itself at all; in fact, I actually like the idea of Young-Shin with Kyung-Soo far better than Young-Shin with Jung-Hoon. But the “found family” bond that YS and KS share is so beautiful and too precious, that I’d hate to see it ruined by a poor writing just to make a romance happen. If that were to be the case, I’m absolutely against it.
Lenore Wallace Feb 08 2021 11:46 am Didn't he raised her from 8 years old.. How old was he at that time. Why would you matched Kyung soo and young shin?
Marquita Davis Feb 05 2021 11:49 am Awesome show so far. I just hope the kids break away from each other and the town to ser outside the box. Im sure that is coming lol
Trish Feb 04 2021 11:46 pm Hope this show continues ?5 star ?

Pgirl13 Jan 22 2021 9:15 pm Just watch 10eps- for start standing ovation to the young people (children actors & actresses - hate to see their characters grow-up), very interesting drama's storytelling, still trying to see how the two set of family unfold & meet each other- great casting members , looking forward to see how the five young adults take on each day world chaos & meeting their goals - good dramas far
DramaramaLover Jan 21 2021 3:09 pm This is so good! The pacing of this drama is done just right where it keep my attention. Normally, I don’t care much about kids storyline but they did it well. The kids actors did a very good job to. The story is interesting and not to overwhelming. I hope it has more then the 10 episodes listed here. The drama is just so amazing and the character have good depth to them. And of course Jae Hee is amazing and handsome! I think the story just hit so well cause it’s also feels realistic. The warmth the character causes and the way how they deal with situations and go about life is understandable.
Shakira Jan 20 2021 12:28 am The children cast should be listed too!
Fayfa Jan 19 2021 4:45 am This drama is soooo good and so worth watching! I usually don’t watch long kdramas but this one is soo good! The plot is amazing, the kid actors are so cute, and you can actually feel their warmth, and joy! I just can’t wait to see yong shin as an adult and see the romance... but at the same time i stilll want to watch more of the kids haha ??
Shakira Jan 18 2021 11:10 pm It's so heartwarming and realistic. The kids are super adorable!!! It's only 6 episode old right now, but I'm in love with it!!! .. and to piggyback Gill... Jae Hee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️ I missed his face!!
Sandy Hitchcock Jan 17 2021 6:44 pm Has the same filming style as Heaven’s Garden” which I loved! I see what changes if it is a long running daytime drama. Not all the OST among other things.
Quantum nurse Jan 12 2021 10:09 am I am looking forward to watch “A Good Supper”, with the leading actress Miss Ryu Hyo Young (Jung Woo Yun). She is a talented and lovely actress. I like her fresh and solid performance in “Golden Pouch”. Wish her well in all of her future endeavors.
