It wasn't as though anyone would miss him anyway, now that they no longer needed him to become King. The succession issue was settled. Father finally got what he wanted. Nobody needed him for anything anymore. What better moment for a little time away after all?

Isn't it so weird when you read an authors work that you really like from a certain fandom, and then you make a fic from that same fandom and you see that that author you like has read and enjoyed your fic?

what i liked in the conversation between aegon and aemond was how tgc delivered the "don't you know what's been happening out there?"(or something along those lines) line. i feel like it referred to not only the succession crisis and daeron and what-not but also about the war in general. it had both the anger of "you've been hiding in this place while rhaenyra is on the throne and daeron claimed himself king" but also the horror of "you've been hiding here while the whole realm is on fire?". I dont think aegon (when he comes back to the throne) is gonna be a good ruler, but i feel like his perspective on smallfolk and war now has a completely different dimension compared to his siblings. Will it be explored? No. Was the horror tone a directional choice, or tgc working his magic again? Probably tgc working his magic again. I still enjoyed it tho

Everyone underestimating and belittling Gwayne this season. Meanwhile my man has a heart of gold and nerves of steel. Him fighting alongside Criston. Him killing the assassins. Him negotiating with Daemon. Him standing against his very own boy, ready to give his life to change his mind.
