[Personal]Artemis Bow

Archive of Fic

Oh hai, welcome to my journal.

Here's the deal: You do not have to friend me to read fanfic. Absolutely any and all fandom related posts, fic or commentary (I RARELY do commentary) is unlocked. You are never ever "spamming" me or "bugging" me when you comment about fandom on any of my entries. Please feel free to, I almost always respond.

This journal is primarily a fandom journal, for me to post fic. You are absolutely welcome to friend me if you'd like to keep an eye on fic. I do have a filter for some personal entries, for some people who I have become friends with through fandom. Being added to this filter is entirely at my discretion, but it's mainly reserved for people who have an interest in me outside of my fic.

FACT: I'm not that interesting.

Here is an archive of my fic, separated by fandom:

[FMA]Riza Hawkeye as Artemis.

Pacific Rim: The Miracle Mile:

Title: The Miracle Mile
Series: Pacific Rim
Character/Pairing: Sasha and Aleksis Kaidonovsky
Summary: The last mile of Cherno Alpha's 18 hour mission is its most critical, and, incidentally, marks a turning point in the relationship of her rangers.
Rating: T
A/N: This fic is a direct follow up to my previous fic Down the Rabithole. You don't really need to read it to read this one, but it does reference some stuff you might appreciate in the little universe I've built here.

As always, I'm in debt to my beta, juxtaposie, whose fault it is that I even OTP these two in the first place.

Pacific Rim: Down the Rabithole

Title: Down the Rabithole
Series: Pacific Rim
Character/Pairing: Precanon Sasha and Aleksis Kaidonovsky
Summary: It is, quite possibly, the first conversation they ever have that’s not about training, tests, jaegers, or kaiju, and Aleksis is suddenly faced with the realization that he likes his potential copilot.
Rating: T
A/N: HAY SO APPARENTLY I'M ALIVE I HAD NO IDEA is anyone else even?

So, a brief explanation before you read this: juxtaposie, my ever reliable beta, saw the movie before I did and went on and on about her headcanon and then I saw the movie and forgot that her headcanon wasn't, you know, ACTUAL canon, and then I couldn't figure out why there was only one or two fics that talked about this epic awesome backstory for our favorite Russians and then I started writing this and then I remembered that it was only her headcanon and nothing official.

Also, I was 3,000 words into this when Beacham said that Aleksis was older, so for the purposes of this series he's still seven years younger. If you think that's the most terrible thing I do to canon, I thank you. Wait til you see my fix-it fic.

Also, please feel free to point out any terrible cultural issues, seeing as the majority of this was vetted only by Google and juxtaposie.

Anyone out there?

Don't laugh at me. I'm trying to get back into reading. School has destroyed my ability to read. Looking for something preferably an easier read, maybe in the sci-fi or fantasy genre although there isn't a lot I won't read. And remember that I'm hooked by characters and not necessarily plot.

Suggestions? I'm tired and unmotivated.

[Alice]Through the looking glass

Heads up -- since I am apparently part of the percentage that cannot post or reply to comments with the new comment system, I am moving everything and crossposting from Dreamwidth for the time being.

I haven't complained about LJ changing things, but the fact is I use the site for two things - to post fic and reply to the people who say nice things about my fic. When I can't perform one of the two things I use the site for, it doesn't give me much motivation to hang around. Unfortunately, I've been busy and kind of detached from fandom due to real life activities lately, so I haven't got a sense of where (or even if) fandom is migrating.

The thing is, I have a paid account on LJ through September, so I'm certainly not paying for another blogging service until then, but for the time being things will be crossposted from/to my DM account, so that I can actually reply to the people who talk to me there. (It would be nice if LJ acknowledged this beyond a "known issue", but whatever.)

If anyone has a DM account, feel free to friend me. I also started a tumblr but... I don't really get it at all so I'm mostly just name sitting at the moment. I'm debating the best way to post fic from now on - should I bother posting to all these places? Or should I use Archive of Our Own and ff.net as main archives and just post links? I'm not sure what people will respond best to yet, but it's also not like I'm sitting on a stockpile of fic, so I guess I'm going to have to play it by ear.
