It's been a big week in the Arkhamverse this time around, with Warner Bros releasing Arkham City: Lockdown for the iPhone from out of nowhere.

It's already hit iTunes, so Warner Bros and DC have played this news very close to the chest.

All in all, so far this first arc has been very run of the mill, simply reinforcing knowledge we got from Arkham City itself. I can't help but feel that a lot of the impact is lost because we already know how this heist goes down.

I've looked ahead to the next two arcs, though, and things seem to be picking up a little there.

Batman: Arkham Unhinged (script by Derek Fridolfs, story by Mary Halpern-Graser and art by Mike S. Miller) is the on-going, online comic series that expands the universe we discovered in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Currently we're up to seven issues that are released weekly, and according to Fridolfs there is no end in sight.

So far, the comic series has gotten a reasonable response from my fellow Arkhamverse fans, so naturally I decided to check it out.

As hinted at by Rocksteady in recent weeks, it looks like we're going to be receiving map/challenge-based DLC before Christmas! Source.

On a more serious note, I am your host, zerrat, and it's my aim to make this the go-to place for Arkham fans to meet their news and discussion needs. I hope to cover the ongoing news relating to challenge map DLC, the strongly hinted-at episodic DLC, the ongoing comic series Arkham Unhinged and the looming possibility of Arkham 3.

While there's plenty of new material for the Arkhamverse on the horizon, let's not ignore the two massive worlds we've already explored. Discussions of all kinds are welcome here, be they comparisons of playable characters, interpretations of the plot of Arkham City, or predictions of what is to come.

And, of course, fanworks of all kinds are welcome here.
