BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Police have apprehended a man in connection with a deadly stabbing that happened in Brooklyn on May 17.
The incident happened around 8:47 a.m. near Cooper Street and Irving Avenue.
Police say 41-year-old Eryka Caldwell of Brooklyn, NY, was found with multiple stab wounds to her body.
EMS transported Caldwell to a local hospital, where she died.
Police arrested 38-year-old Jonathan Fernandez of Brooklyn early Sunday morning and charged him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The stabbing was domestic in nature, according to sources.
The investigation is ongoing.
