july 4th
ok so yesterday was the 4th of july and i just thought id share a bit about how that goes in telluride. first of all there was a parade. in a town of 2500 people just about everyone is IN the parade. my little cousin in law alley entered her decorated bike in the parade. she covered it in fur and tied all her stuffed anomals to it that were endangered and got a posse of her friends to carry signs that they made that read "4th of july- endangered furworks" hahaha clever little girl. here is her bike. it won 2nd place!:
some of the other parade highlights were the "newly hatched babies"- all babies born this year.
and the jets that kept flying through the valley. omg were they LOUD it was awesome. my independence day craft was making a crochet headband. here is a pic of me and The Chad and thats the headband on my head :0). the pattern for that is gonna be posted this week hopefully with a video too!
ok so my camera has the BEST fireworks setting. its my favorite thing about this camera (its the nikon cool pix from 4 years agoin case you are curious) we were right under the fireworks it was CRAZY. ash was falling on us and every boom rattled your teeth. then one firework shot a little low and the still burning pieces of it fell right next to me! ok people that was almost the last you heard of pren cause i could have gone right up like a tinder box! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HAIR PRODUCT I USE!!!???? and a while later i heard the guy next to us (who was clearly stoned because it took about 3 minutes to respond to his almost demise) say "dude, (excessivly long pause) i was almost just on fire right then."
