Do you ever find that song that's just absolutely perfect for the fic you're writing? One that's so perfect it'll bring chills and make you all emotional? I found that song for my big bang today. I admit I got a little choked up when I listened to it because it's just a beautiful song, and it fits the story so well it's almost eerie.

Last year, for "Drifting" it was In Sleep by Lissie.

This year it's this- Wither by Dream Theater.


So I'm wondering about the rest of you -- what songs (if any) made you take a deep breath and say, "Holy crap, this could have been written for my fic"? Feel free to share w/ me -- I'm always on the lookout for great tunes! ^_^

I want a mashup of these two songs so bad I can taste it. I would do it myself but I haven't the slightest idea where to begin. Plus I'm not so invested that I'd want to spend money buying equipment/software to do it.






I actually played both of these songs at the same time and Lissa was like, "oh that's pretty". She had no idea that I was playing two songs simultaneously, but she had just woken up and was still groggy. I'm sure she would have caught on eventually.

Now I'm off to try and roller skate around a lake. Wish me luck.
