Yello.

On a whim I decided to return to LJ.. which I haven't done in quite a while. It makes me sad to think that the advent of all this online bloggery and facebook stuff just means that it's less time we actually spend WITH the person behind the blog and the facebook and the myspace. So instead of talking to the person, we'll just read about their life, call it a day, and assume we know what's up.

I guess in that sense, my friendships this year have deepened.. if that's the right word to use? It was way way less of "oh just check my lj" and more of.. just talking, to the actual person.

I mean really. Since when did a computer become a fabulous substitute for a living, breathing, feeling person?

In the meantime, I'm excited for this summer. I'm not sure what I'm doing even this coming week beyond cleaning, cleaning, learning to sew, cleaning, cooking.. but still.

On a brief review of a few past entries from a little less than a year ago.. wow. I'm not sure what to make of the language or the person behind the language..

And it's 2006!

I was bored and no Blogspot people have updated recently, so I thought I'd pop back over here..

It's been a crazy semester in ways I wouldn't have imagined.. and not necessarily good ways either. But it's part of that whole cliche learning experience blah blah blah. I'm just glad to be home (for now, haha) and looking forward to visiting high school tomorrow w/Beteh n' Spam. And I'll be there on Thurs too. And [at least for now] Naiema's coming over on Thurs, which is super exciting since I haven't seen her since August!

I've been reading up more on Islam and the more I read, the more scared I get about even trying to make something about such a complex religion. But it's good to know that some sort of emotion other than self-pity and apathy are in this body, after a year of increasing BLAHness to the world's problems.

Ahh, LJ, how I have missed you.

Major resolution: stop facebook addiction.

The good thing about being chinese? I can screw up american new year's and still redeem myself for the chinese one. (which will be 2 days after my birthday, on a sunday, hurrah! plans are in the works to make dumplings for new year's? hmm =) )

Hope you're all doing well =)

Your worst (corniest) jokes.

Ok, so I've decided after hearing some of biat's ATROCIOUSLY bad but funny jokes, I want to make a notebook with em and take em with me to college to amuse myself. Along with the Ellen DVD spam got me [:D].

So hit me with your .. worst.. jokes.

Examples:
Why did they call him Tom?
Because that's his name. [Spam]

Why'd the chicken cross the road?
Chicken. [Shit]

->ensuing conversation:
2 z: why did the chicken cross the road?
7 2: because it wanted to
2 z: chicken.
7 2: wait I don't get the chicken one.
2 z: neither do i
2 z: it has no point
2 z: which is the point
7 2: ...

Really, her jokes are truly awful. Anyway. Comment away!

[I'd also like to take a moment and thank LJ for not crappin' out on me. Appreciate it, LJ.)

And did I mention my roomie is not only into rap, but ALSO a foodie? Beteh & I are gonna have another foodie near us! YES!

MIKE!

So, I keep remembering and then forgetting that I NEED HUFNAGL TO SIGN MY YEARBOOK. And of course this wouldn't be quite so problematic if I actually knew where it was. Have you gotten Gilbert, Blair, and Creepy Teacher, yet? Oh, and can you also get the box of cell phones out of Dr. C's room and the shirt/baby thing from Mittelstet's bulletin board?

Thank you :D You'll get cookies for this, really. You know.. once I get back from Japan and all..
Leavethepieces for the wonderfulness

To my homies

I LOVE YOU ALL!

Harker Class of 2005. So much love for you all. So so much. My teachers. My friends. Mentors. Love love love love.

Funny, I don't feel different at all even though I graduated... ? Maybe I'm just being the normal me, which would include ignoring "good-bye"s and pretending it's not happening. But it IS. I won't see Jams all the time, the cows won't be around to harass me during lunch, Debbs won't be around to go "OW OW!", no Meg around to talk about her lust of the week... the list goes on.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You're feeling self centered.

BAHAHAHAHA. Stylish and alluring? Right, of course! Lol, I saw that marriage one and instantly thought of Angela who doesn't go for monogamy. Ah. Damn right I'm feeling self-centered!

silly :)

Your Birthdate: January 27

Your birth on the 27th day of the month (9 energy) adds a tone of selflessness and humanitarianism to your life path.

Certainly, you are one who can work very well with people, but at the same time you need a good bit of time to be by yourself to rest and meditate.

There is a very humanistic and philanthropic approach in most of things that you do.

This birthday helps you be broadminded, tolerant, generous and very cooperative.

You are the type of person who uses persuasion rather than force to achieve your ends.

You tend to be very sensitive to others' needs and feelings, and you able to give much in the way of friendship without expecting a lot in return.

And suddenly, it all makes sense why I love NYC:

American Cities That Best Fit You:

70% New York City

65% Chicago

60% Philadelphia

55% Washington, DC

45% Boston

stina thinks I'm a druggie. I'm not! I was just commenting on the strength of the silver Sharpie pen I was using. geesh! Oh, and she decided that cults should send her thank you letters if she gets rid of me for them. Because I'd use tiny fonts for recruitment letters, break any important statues/idols they worship, and generally cause a great deal of trouble for them.

smiiiiiiiiith, 'ere I come!

smith tomorrow through sunday.

no internet?! no COMPUTER?! HOW WILL I LIVE?! I am a child of technology! Save me!

ok ok, enough of that.

oh, so I went to Marina's today, and the clerk person thought I was trying to steal 4 bags of noodles. I'll explain when I get home. My mom says that obviously means I look like a scumbag. I really can't understand that given that c2 & my brother agree that I'm "cute" when I'm pissed off. Go figure.

ciao, y'all!
