• All posts must be anonymous. If you wish to post under your own username, there are plenty of fanfic communities to choose from. You are welcome to de-anon at any time at your journal, but please provide a link at your original entry so readers can follow your work to the finished product.
** All fanworks must be anonymous. If you are comfortable providing feedback under your own username, that's your choice, but we would prefer anon at all times.
• Any and all Merlin characters and pairings are welcome.
** There is zero tolerance for bashing. This refers to characters, pairings and the author. If you don't agree with the 'ship, please keep your opinions to yourself and scroll past. Likewise, if you don’t agree with the way the story is going, do not complain to the author unless the author has requested constructive criticism (see examples of concrit below). Any comments breaking this rule will be immediately screened.
• Please warn for spoilers in your author notes for any episode that has not yet aired in the United Kingdom. If your story contains spoilers without a warning, your post will be screened and you will be asked to repost.
• Do not post prompts or requests. This meme is strictly for the purpose of posting completed fanworks and works in progress. You may, of course, post fanfiction inspired by prompts found elsewhere.
• Your work can be anything from fluff to porn. You may post anything from a poem or drabble to novel-length fic.
• Ratings are optional, but helpful for both readers and archiving. Please use the following: G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17
• Warning for potential triggers is not mandatory; however, you may do so in your author notes.
• If you're looking for constructive criticism, please leave a request in your author notes. If you are reposting a fic already posted elsewhere (such as kinkme_merlin) specifically for this purpose, please state that your fic is a repost and that you are looking for feedback. If you change your mind about wanting concrit after your story is posted, please reply to your last entry with "Concrit please" in the subject line. Similarly, if you no longer want concrit, reply to your last entry with "No concrit please."
** Readers, remember to keep your critiques constructive. Do not bash, name-call, or outright tell the author how to write their story. Point out the good, make helpful suggestions, etc. Your comments should be unemotional and unbiased and made in an effort to help the author improve. If the author believes your criticism too harsh, your post will be screened.
• All fanworks are welcome, not just fanfiction. You may post art, vids and other works.
• Your work should be posted in the following format: The subject line should contain the title, all main pairings/character(s) in alphabetical order, chapter number, and the rating. The body of your post should contain the work itself preceded by your author notes which should include any spoiler or trigger warnings and requests for concrit. Please try to keep your author notes to a minimum. All chapters must be nested.
Sample entry: [Subject] RPF – Pierrefonds in the spring (1/?) – Bradley/Colin – PG-13 OR Gen - Call me Doctor Love (1/4) - Gaius - R [Body] Concrit welcome! Spoilers for episode 3x07.
• There will be a new meme after approximately 5000 comments. Previous memes will remain open so you can continue to post your fic if it's not finished. For anything new, please use the new post.
