Written for Yuletide 2009 for momebie, to the prompt: At the end of the series Jack, Michelle and David are all living lives that are drastically different from what they envisioned. How do they cope with their lot in life? And what stories do they tell themselves to get by?

No, seriously, you guys, thank you so much. Oh my god! This is quite possibly one of the best things that have happened to me in recent and not-so-recent times, and it's been so much fun having you around, I feel like it's some kind of milestone. To the magnificent bastards who've been here since the start, and to the new guys who've just joined, thank you all! I'm really glad you're enjoying yourself, because I am too, ridiculously so.
