Hi :)

A couple weeks ago when I came back here to do a tiny post - after years of not being here except for replying to a couple posts here and there - it got me thinking...

I mean, this place is here, I have this place and it's collecting dust. But it's still here and I've been trying to come up with a purpose for it. A way to breathe life back into my DW. So far nothing inspiring comes to mind. Sigh.

I am still doing what I've been doing years ago. Still writing Jack/Daniel but mostly Little Daniel. None of my followers on here read kidfic so this isn't an outlet for that. I'm still grasping at the little bits of J/D I can find around the internet here and there, but haven't done any artwork or vids or whatnot myself in years.

I'm a grandma of the most adorable, bright and spiritied three year old I know - but we have decided as a family that we won't post pictures or stories or anything about the little man until he is old enough to give consent on stuff being shared online about him in any way, so that's a no-go too.

I'm also a cat mom, but my cats aren't up for being stars of cat videos either. They are old and grumpy and not suitable for fame :D So not going to be a cat lady either.

So, for now, I have no idea how to decorate, renovate and then use this space. But I'll try not to forget about it again and stop by every once in a while. Maybe, some day, if I ever have the guts and the inspiration to start writing original fiction I might use it as a platform to start advertising here... but that's still in the future.

I'm happy for the few who are sitll here and still around. Stay safe!

It's Valentine's Day and the muse has decided to come out and play in my Still Jack and Daniel universe. It's NOT kidfic though. It's all about the (supposed to be) grown ups. Hi hi hi!

I know I've been very quiet last year (and this year so far) and have neglected my DW (and my LJ). I've been playing on Instagram and twitter, but that's about it. Fandom wise I've done a little writing in 2019, but since most of those who follow me here are into kidfic I didn't announce it here (that's not meant as a whining, just a simply fact and it's totally okay and it's all good).

Life's been hectic and roller coaster-ing around here with aging parents and parents in law needing a lot of help and assistance now between hospital stays - which is fine, it just keeps me stuck in rl a lot more than it used to in previous years. At the beginning of this year my friend had to put her beloved horse down and it's been a sad sad journey for the both of us since I was with her all the way and my heart broke a little along with hers as I loved her baby too.

But that's the circle of life and things as sad and exhausting things have been on the one side, the more bright and rewarding is the other side of my life's balance.

My daughter Sarah has finished her job-in-trainee with excellent grades in January and is now a full paid employee which enables her to rent her own apartment together with her long time bf who is just now finishing his bachelor as well. So, my baby is going to leave the nest soon - a mixed blessing for us as parents for sure. We are super happy for her and at the same time this new stage of life will be strange and needs getting used to on our part.

In other (good) news my kid has been singing in a band for five years now and after years of hard work and many many on stage performances that were a steep learning curve plus coaching and practicing several times a week they have finally released her first EP (Extended play) last Friday. There was a release party, a concert, in a small club here in town and it was received quite nicely. This project has been in the work for several months with weeks of studio work and I am so proud I could burst with pride because those kids have worked so hard to reach this goal and now it's finally here.

I am trying my best to share what they have done online even though my reach via social media is not large since I don't have big accounts anywhere, but I'm trying as best as I could.

'Waves around at everyone'

I haven't been around much this month, but I didn't want to let the old year go without stopping by and wishing everyone a happy new year. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas or what other holiday you celebrated this month. I had a nice one with family on Christmas Eve and the next day we hightailed it out of here and went on vacation to Sweden/Göteborg. Even though I wanted snow and got rain (lots lots lots of rain) and came home sick with a flu bug (sinuses, sore throat, cough, the whole woohoo) we had a great time and did a lot of sightseeing.

I'm going out today to a nice little party with a couple of close friends, nothing fancy, just nice and a bit festive. I suspect I'll be in bed shortly after the ball drops, but we'll see.

I wish all of you a happy, healthy, wealthy (hehe), joyful and peaceful 2018. I'm grateful for this little corner of fandom where Jack and Daniel are still loved and cherished and I hope it will stay that way for a very long time.

I'm sharing a bit of my doll-christmas scene from this year. My patchwork family enjoyed thier Christmas to the max :D

Hi!

As I am waiting for my writing muse to return again (if anyone has seen her, please point her my way, thank you!) I have finally started to work on my J/D at the cabin scrapbook, a project I wanted to do for years now. Did these manips today. Holy crap, I haven't done any manips in AGES. Please be gentle as I am slowly getting used to the whole process again. I feel clumsy and out of shape in the manip department 'cringes'. But I thought since I finally have something to share again, I'll do :)

First off - I finally got my new body for Bones. The original figure couldn't be undressed / re-dressed and if you know me, you'll know that's not an option to live with :p

Before you try to put the head on, you have to remove the neck and the big ball underneath it so you can stick McCoy's head on the smaller ball in the neck opening. But that works just fine.

Hi Everyone!

I'm ticking off stuff on my 'to-do-list' and this is my first deed today :)

I know I've been quiet and not posting much around here or in general. Real life is busy (not in a bad way atm, thank god, just busy) and happy fandom life these day means to hole up with my laptop and write without being distracted by weird fans posting weird stuff on twitter or fans bullying each other or fans whining about this and that on twitter also :p

- For those of you who have been reading stories or watching vids on my website at Anne's Happy Place and were wondering why it's been down for a whle now:

I really had no idea it was down until a friend e-mailed me to let me know it was down and to ask when will it be up again. Shame on me for not checking on my own website in such a long time that I did not even realize it was down. After talking to my hubby I found out that our net provider has been sold to another net provider and apparently they have purged all free websites running under the old provider. I don't know if we even got notice - I can't remember getting anything from them. But it's gone and won't be back :(

I do have the offline version of the site and all my stuff backed up of course, but I need time to figure out where and how to built me a new 'home' for my stuff. All my stories are up at AO3 and will remain there of course so reading is not a problem. But videos and the whole Little Danny Headquarter section of my website including parties and all the little gems the LD group has created through the years will need a new home. Since I had no traffic counter on my website I have no idea if ppl even still went there to read/watch etc so I am not sure if there are peeps out there who simply thought I left or stopped participating in fandom because it's been a while since I last posted a story too... but I'm still around, I'm still here. I still love my Jack and Daniel and my LD. And I will try to get a new website up sooner or later and will let you know when it's up - but it may take a long while until it's finished.

Which brings me to the next subject - writing.

I had a long long dry spell writing wise. I did not write a single word in 2016 until December came around and the muse woke up from its beauty sleep. So I am still writing and working on two stories, both set in the SJD verse. One is finished, the other one will hopefully be finished in a couple of weeks/months (one never knows how much the muse loves to play and how rl will behave). Since the second story is set before the first one I won't start -posting until they are both finished and dusted over, but this is just to let you know I'm still working on fiction and having a ball with it. It jut takes longer than it used to these days.

To that end - thank you to my readers for your patience and for sticking with me.

- I created a new community over here which is called

rdadaily and was supposed to be crossposting with the LJ community rda_daily. I did that mostly because of LJ's connection to Russia and wanted to move the community over here and keep crossposting to LJ so that LJ users can still see the pics. Now it seems that LJ has disabled DW from crossposting and I either have to post to both communities separately or just stay at LJ since most ppl who still watch that community seem to be LJ user. Am still trying to decide what to do. I don't think Russia has any interest in RDA pictures and won't start tracking what's going on there :p But it still feels a bit unsettling, all of it.
EDIT::: And then again, crossposting actually still seems to work or is working again! Okay, so now I'm confused! But this means I can start posting pics and cross post... 'throws up hands' Oh well, lol

Hi!

'waves at all my peeps on my flist'

First off I have to say I didn't 'do' anything for More Joy Day - I didn't manip, vid or finish the fic I'm working on.

BUT I got a lot of joy today and in these first weeks of 2017 already. There's also already worries and angst, but I won't go into that today so let's go for the JOY!

What makes me HAPPY about today is:

-it's my kid's birthday (she's turning 19 today and omg omg time FLIES)

-it's DeForest Kelley's birthday which I am still quietly celebrating each year with a lit candle and some special thoughts of my very first actor crush/love/worship. He's the one real McCoy, no one can ever replace him or even try to fill his shoes in the ST universe for me.

-I got mail that the Quantum Mechanix 'Bones' McCoy figure I ordered will be out in Febuary! And this is the very first one and only action figure that ever did him justice because just like the Kirk and Spock from that series he is sculpted and painted wonderfully and all kinds of awesome. You can see pics of him here

All of this makes me happy, but the most important, the most wonderful, the most awesome reason for me to be happy is - I AM WRITING. This hasn't happened in 2016, not a word, not a thing, the muse took a hike and by December I was sure it had left me for good or at least for a much longer time than I thought.

I love to write. I MISS writing terribly when I can't. But usually whenever I don't write I at least manip. However, that didn't happen either. But then - out of the blue - it was back. And the words, they are flowing out of my mind, through my fingertips, into the keyboard, onto my screen and I'll be forever grateful for that little miracle.

I love my fandom, I love Jack/Daniel - this has never changed and hopefully will never change. They are my go-to place, my happy sanctuary. I want to say thank you to each of you who has continued writing, manipping, posting here and elsewhere to keep the fandom alive and to keep us entertained with da boyz. I love other shows, other fandoms, other pairings... but SG-1 will always be my home turf.

And whatever will happen after today and in the future, I will try as hard as I can to keep my happy place, well, happy.

Hi, it's meeee,

I know I haven't posted anything in a long time, but real life has been demanding and hectic and the muse has been absent for so long, I was scared I might have lost it forever. I haven't written a word this year until now... The muse is back, I am writing again and I can't even put into words how grateful I am! It's one of the most wonderful gifts this season has brought to me!

Also while my camera is not working properly, I borrowed one from the hubby to take these pics of the fantastic little tree complete with decorations, lights and prezzies my wonderful friend

But I once did a manip with Daniel and Jack and a piano long ago and it always was a special one for me and when I saw the piano, I just HAD to...

Sadly some of these are not as crisp as they should have been. I don't have a camera atm and had to take my phone and sometimes it's not very good for taking dollie pics :(

Hellooo... 'waves'

I know I've been absent from my DW a long time (at least from my own, I did comment here and there tho). Real life has been demanding in several ways (good and not so good) - but you all know what that's like, I guess, and can relate.

Anyway...

A couple of weeks ago the wonderfully talented

dieastra has created a Jack O'Neill dress blues figure for me and it turned out beautifully. You have to look at the details on his uniform, they are amazing and the whole figure turned out GREAT. Thank you, thank you, for taking the time and creating him for me.

Here are a couple of piccies. I went and bought a new Daniel doll as well because no Jack of mine can be without a matching Daniel. It's not all that easy these days to find figures for a reasonable price and I had to order him in the USA and have him shipped to a dear friend who then sent him off to me. I wanted one in a suit, but there wasn't a suit-Daniel so I settled for a Daniel in blue BDU even though it's an SGA Daniel. But he came with an ZPM :)

Hi Everyone!

I thought I share some goodies from the NZ conventions RDA did. I only watched one of the interviews (with Heather in the jeep and it was very cute) and haven't watched any of the panels etc, nor did I have time to try and download anything yet. Real life has been kicking my ass these two last weeks and there was very little time for any fandom stuff.
