So my summer has started out quite excellently I have:
1) Gone tubing
2) Gone to a Six Flags
3) Graduated high school
4) Had my last dance recital at my current studio
5) Had a movie marathon with my friends
6) Gone to the Dream Theater/Iron Maiden concert
7) Worked way too much!
Other than the last thing on my list I am quite astounded by the amount of stuff that I have actually accomplished so far this summer, considering I’m the type of person to normally isolate myself from the world. I suppose since I consider this my last summer with my childhood friends I wanted to make this summer count more than the rest, so I won’t have any regrets when I move on with my life.
Anyways, my graduation was pretty dull as far as I’m concerned, but I did graduate Summa Cum Laude as the 11th ranked person in my class with an overall GPA of 106.6. Pretty damn good if I say so myself… :)
My last dance recital was a lot more bittersweet for me since I have been at the same dance studio for fifteen years, and it’s pretty much my home. I spent more time at my dance studio than I really did at home (for the time I was awake, of course since I sleep at home I’m there longer technically, but…) and all the friends, teachers, etc. were practically my other family. But I’m proud to say this dance recital was probably the best one for me, and I know I will remember it fondly.
Now my next move in life is going to Texas Woman’s University, and I’m quite excited. I know TCU had been my goal for the past few months, but I know that TWU will be a better place for me to start. I’ve already been accepted into their Honor Scholars Program so a plethora of opportunities are already emerging that TCU didn’t even offer to me.
Oh, and my wallet was returned to me with everything inside!
Ciao!
