I've been a fan of anime since I was a kid, I remember getting up early in the mornings to watch Star Blazers. When I was in my teens we were in Hawaii (my dad was Army) in the mid to late 80's and Robotech came out, I fell in love with anime all over again.

So when I joined the Air Force I was excited to get stationed in Misawa, Japan (up north by Amori), and of course Japan being the home of anime! LOL I had a membership at the local Japanese rental store (believe it or not they had several Japanese movies and anime with English subtitles). It was then I discovered... :drum roll: Dragon Ball Z.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I enjoyed DBZ a lot, it was my soap opera! I even cried when Gokou died during the Cell Saga.

Since then I've enjoyed several animes! Naruto, Bleach, D.Gray-Man, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Inuyasha, Vampire Knight, Ghost Hunt, Haruka Naru Toki Naka de Hachiyoushou, Kiba, Mai-Otome Zwei, Shounen Onmyouji, Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou, Tsubasa Chronicle, Witch Blade, Macross Zero, Macross Frontier, Nabari no Ou, Persona, man I could go on and on and on and on... and I enjoy several of the manga's too!

I created my first website in 1996 when I came back from Japan to move to Hawaii (again) it was dedicated to DBZ, I had a hand scanner back the to scan in all the DBZ goodies I had gotten while in Japan.

Ok, enough rambling! I'm not a fangirl in my personal journal but I do make references to my fanfiction from time to time. I’m looking for friends to be open minded and not a snob about anime/manga/fanfiction (open minded to hentai, yaoi, yuri, mary sue, etcs). Two other friends and I are part of a multi-fanfiction group project that finished book 1 and book 2 of our story and are currently working on book 3.

Well to clarify about last paragraph, I’m not just looking for anime/manga friends but friends over all. I’m usually on google talk all the time (with AIM too). So if you’re the type that likes to IM feel free to add me. And since I’m at such an ‘advanced’ age (I am turning 39 in November) compared to the rest of the community I have kids too. My oldest daughter (who’s a senior in high school 18½) was born in Japan and she loves anime/manga just as much as me. My youngest daughter who just turned 15 isn’t so much into it. So when my oldest graduates and moves out I won’t have anybody to gush over anime/manga with me. Not come home and have somebody go, “did you read the latest Naurto or Bleach?” T_T
