hmmm seems no one has posted here in well......forever so lets see what i can post *rolls up sleeves* ok all i am going to Anime Oasis this year hopefully as ceil from black butler. I have a room set up even looking for another roomie or 2 to say with my me, my friend, and my brother. Ummmmmmm its gonna be a blast still on a high from tomo which was way smaller so it was kind of weird at first. so ya umm that's all i'm gonna say right now.....now to see what happens =^_^=
My party has been approved for Worldcon in Yokohama, for Sunday, Sept 2. It's called:
Fan Videos in English (英語のファンビデオ).
I am looking for:
Fan-made video content you have created People you know who have made fan videos
These can be fantasy, science fiction, anime, furry, gaming, rennaissance, any combination, or pretty much anything by or about fans of such things. They should be in English, though I might consider content with English subtitles as well. I've found Japanese fan videos very interesting, and I think Japanese people would find fan videos in English interesting as well! I would prefer to show a DVD, VCD, AVI file, or similar. I don't want to drag around a video tape deck, and Youtube and similar formats don't look so good with a projector.
I am also looking for people to share a nice big suite room which will have a party in it every night! We have to close the party by 2am, so there should be plenty of time for sleep.

I have managed to talk to Jeremy, and he said that there shouldn't be any problems with a dollfie room party. So, I have decided to host a room party in my hotel room Saturday night, right after the masquerade. If everything goes according to schedule, we will have the party from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm, because I'm sure a majority of you want to go to the anime dance. :)
I would like to advise those who have children under 5 to please keep them away from the dollfies (no touching, no holding). We don't want the little tykes taking apart the dollfies, nor do we want them consuming any of the parts/ accessories. Otherwise, they are more than welcome to look at the many dollfies that are present, and join us for some cookies and drinks.
Oh, yeah. Speaking of drinks, last I was told, a party should be about having fun, and not about having the term "liability" on my very shoulders. With that said, there will be absolutely no booze at this gathering. If anyone brings any kind of liquor (I don't care if it's "just beer"), you will be asked to leave the party. No ands, ifs, or buts about it.
I don't know my room number at the moment, but do keep an eye out for flyers at the info booth. I will talk to Jeremy to see if I can keep some flyers at the registration desk or with con ops. Otherwise, I'll pass out the flyers. :)
Has there been any discussion as to whether there will be a Super Dollfie/ MSD gathering at AO? I want to see what I can do to obtain the video about them, though, I can't make any promises of course. What do you all think? Is there anyone attending Anime Oasis that has a Super Dollfie or MSD?
I'll be moving to Boise in May and have never had the chance to go to something like Anime Oasis but I think I would like to give it a try. Any suggestions for a newbee?
Ok so my friend Antheny is selling some of his really nicely made costume props. If you guys could you know...pass it on that'd be great! These props are effin AWESOME. Hi folks. You know me here as cpardo. At AO I'm: Ranma boy-type, Ryoma Echizen, Lupin III, Crazy 88, Takkun, Yusuke Urameshi, Laughing Man and Vegeta. I'm also the one short guy running around taping events and stuff, and making tapes to share with people.
I had a great time at the last AO and the previous ones, and I'm looking forward to next year's AO.
There'll be some major changes in my cosplay lineup with what I've created so far. But there'll be some old faves and other things for all to enjoy. I'm still figuring out what to create for AO specifically. But it should be good.
I'm very happy. Mostly because I've just begun dating another AO alumni AmiDoji.
So hopefully look for me at AO with a smile on my face.
