I said it would be by the end of last week, so I'm kind of cheating. But Ch4 of To an Outside Observer is finally here! Yay! after nearly a year. It's not worth the wait.

Hiya flist - those of you that are left anyway.

As is usually the way when I post on here, it's been a while. But this time, there is a difference. This time, I am making a promise. A promise to update http://archiveofourown.org/works/5… by the END OF THE WEEK. That's right. At least one new chapter for the crowds (pah.) to enjoy.

I felt bad after I got a request please not to abandon the fic - which I hadn't... time just goes really fast and well, y'know. Life. I have really missed writing just-for-fun instead of writing because this-needs-to-have-been-released-yesterday. So. End of the week. Yes?

So... um. Hi, LJ. How've you been?

I've been absent for... a while. Life, y'know. Mostly good stuff, just generally busy. How is everyone? Anything interesting going down? I thought I'd pop in and say hi anyway.

I couldn't help but notice that be_compromised is running the secret santa again this year; I'm torn as to whether to participate again, it was great and fun and full of lovely, but at the same time, life is cray.

But it's fun.

I DON'T KNOW.

And I should probably, seriously, get chapter 4 up of this thing.

So, went to the midnight showing of Iron Man 3 last night.

 

OH. MY. GOSH.

 

OH.

 

MY.

 

Yeeeeeaaaaaahhh!  So worth it.

 

Even if I have Important Training in ten minutes and I'm just anticipating the crash. I'll hold off on (more) squee and any spoilers now (seriously, ten minutes).

 

But OHHHHH.

...It seems to have been mentioned a few times around my flist recently and piqued my curiosity, so I checked it out.

My goodness, it's like bad reality TV; I can't tear myself away.

But please, please, if any of you ever read my stuff and feel it's rant-worthy, please just tell me.

I would so much rather discuss it with you and take whatever course of action is necessary (rectify or justify or just talk it over) than get that horrendous sinking feeling looking on that community and wonder, is that me?

Because that would be awful. Also, I'm a total sucker for feedback of any kind.

Kind of proud of that fic... my first ever multi-chapter exercise that is facing no end in sight.

 

Admittedly it took three months to update (these things take time!) and trying to create a mature, respectful to all sides, breakup was a pain.

 

A fun pain, but still. I love my messed up babies :)

 

Right. Need to stop slacking off at work. I have deadlines to enable.

 

First things first, I'm really proud of that journal entry title. Hehe.

The long and short of it; I spend too much time on sites like craftgawker.

Anywho, if any of you guys are craftily inclined, or spend any time on sites such as pinterest ever, you'll probably see the little blue polka dot egg with a message in a box tutorial. Or you can see it here: Surprise Eggs

I did these last year for the fam and they went down really well (alongside Jesus and chocolate)

The sad relevant part of this story is that this year I am expanding my message-egg empire and giving/sending boxes of easter treats to all the friends. Also, if it's not snowing (I can't believe that I actually have to consider that) I'm thinking easter garden party.

Hate to brag guys, but I throw the best parties. Classy crap goes down.

Easter is my next big excuse (other than 'Hey! It's the weekend!') and really, it'd be rude not too.

...Truly, one of the most wonderful times of the year. Here's to you Nutella-and-Vanilla-Ice-Cream-filled-pancakes. Let's just hope that my metabolism never slows down. 

And here's also to pancake flipping contests and dance off's in the kitchen with the 'rents and the brother. Because those are great too.

Basically I'm just a sad sap that gets frustrated with (my own) writing. WHY CAN'T I WRITE?
