I just misspelled the word "qualified" and said "I'm not quailfied enough to do this"

A quailfied person:

controversial opinion everywhere except tumblr, i LOVE pigeons. i think they’re adorable. their iridescent neck feathers are so cute, their little coos are just the best, they come in so many colors, they just walk around everywhere <3

"pigeons are so common who cares"

sunsets are common. dude that happens every fucking day forever who cares.

SNOWFLAKES are common. dude there are like a trillion of those who cares.

stars are common. dude there's like 100 billion of those who cares.

roses are common. dude those are in literally every garden centre who cares.

So, What Now?

I created this blog around a year ago with the intention to post my photographs of birds I would see in the UK while living here. I abandoned my five year old account for fandom stuff (@nikotine-kasper) due to my growing disdain for participating in fandoms. I've been keeping myself away from social media too. Every time I entered Tumblr or thought about it, a pain in my stomach would appear.

I feel that my chronic anxiety has been a double edged sword. On one hand, it has protected me from danger. In many occasions, my gut feeling has been in the right, alerting me about people who could cause me trouble or harm, or situations that were too risky. At the same time, it feels that I've been missing out a lot. I'm safe, but at what cost?

Anyway, after chatting with another user on my abandoned blog, I came to the conclusion that maybe Tumblr is not too bad. Blocking tags and blocking rude people will do, and curating my feed so that I don't get posts that might trigger my anxiety. I can't promise I'll be interacting a lot with fandoms. The idea for this blog is to be a place where I can share my general interests, not limited to the media I consume.

It feels weird having to rebuild my life here again... but welp. Someone has to do it
