Plot rules:
01. The island on "Lost" is a Wolfram & Hart holding/hell dimension.
02. Everyone there has done something -- whether they're aware of it or not -- to convince Wolfram & Hart they needed to be contained. This could be because of a power they have, information they know, or something they've done contrary to Wolfram & Hart's interests.
03. Some of the people on the island have had their memory wiped, similar to the way W&H wiped Lindsey and Gunn's memories in the other holding/hell dimension. Jin, for example, is actually Gavin Park, a former W&H employee. Locke and the Pilot are really Kendall and Weiss from
Alias. All characters are open until someone chooses to use them; a list of other movies/shows the actors have been in is provided for reference in the first post.
04. It has not been determined whether Angel, Spike, etc. will have their memories wiped.
05. At some point during the NFA battle, Wolfram & Hart decides to deal with Angel's resistance movement by stranding them in this hell dimension. Which characters W&H considers part of that "resistance movement" is yet to be determined; the first author to write it gets to decide. That author is free to include anyone, dead or alive, that W&H would consider in need of containment but possibly useful later, and use the 'island magic' to resurrect/heal as needed. This means Wesley and Lindsey are fair game. At a minimum, it is Angel, Spike, and Illyria (the possible survivors suggested by the end of NFA). The sun on the island does not burn Angel or Spike, but it is up to the first author to determine whether they have been made human or not.
06. The island immediately "heals" Illyria -- i.e. separates her from Fred and gives her back her original, tentacled form. Whether Fred survives this process is up to the first author to tackle it... but
Illyria is the unseen, unnamed monster of the island.
07. The "others" on the island may include anyone from any fandom that could piss off Wolfram & Hart... which is really just about any of them. They do handle interdimensional evil; perhaps Voldemort is a client?
Examples:
-- Mulder and Scully,
X-Files (investigating W&H would be right up their alley)
-- Agent Cooper,
Twin Peaks (red room = holding dimension gateway?)
Established Information:
01. Jack's father had some kind of deal with W&H. He let the girl die on his operating table on purpose as a 'last job' for Holland Manners. Jack's memories are, therefore, real.
02. Driveshaft was one of the bands handled by W&H's entertainment division. Liam, Charlie's brother, sold Charlie's soul to W&H in exchange for Driveshaft achieving fame. When Lorne discovered this contract, he had Gunn nullify it despite Gunn's warnings that W&H would be pissed. Charlie's memories are, therefore, real.
03. The 'cursed' number is somehow tied to W&H. Among other things, it is the C.E.O.'s direct-line phone number.
04. Weiss was loaned to Kendall for a Project Black Hole mission to investigate the rumor of Rambaldi artifacts at W&H. Both disappeared on this mission. When Vaughn and Sydney went on a rescue mission, they discovered W&H was rubble; they removed what objects they could find and brought them to Marshall for analysis. Marshall has discovered that one of them has the ability to play channels like a radio... on one of which, they heard Kendall's voice.
05. Richard Malkin (the psychic) works for Wolfram & Hart. Thomas (Claire's Ex) had a deal with them for his firstborn child. He left Claire in an attempt to save the baby.
