This community was designed to bring together people interested in "modern drumming," styles ranging from hip hop and electro to jungle and drum and bass. This is a completely open community, posts will not be moderated and membership is extended to all. There are however, some rules to abide by (Nothing you haven't seen before, no worries).
Do not under any circumstances advertise in this community. I understand there are alot of other communities out there, and it's good to know there are many people with similar interests, but it's extremely rude and quite annoying. This is not to say you may not reference another community (ie. "In the drum_god community this guy Robert talked about.." etc), but blatant spamming is forbidden and those involved will be dealt with (via IP bans and deletion of comments).
Do not insult the intelligence of other members, or insult them in general. For the love of god, we're all here for the same reason. If someone is being a pompous dick, please do not retaliate with verbal abuse, the administrators will deal with the problem. Just sit back and smile, all the while thinking to yourself how much of a dick they look like. We're all members of this community because we are interested in modern drumming, therefore we have common ground and really should have no problems with eachother.
If you have very large pictures to post, or just a very large entry in general, please place it behind an LJ cut. If you do not know how to place said articles behind an LJ cut, do not be embarassed, just ask. I myself did not learn how to do this until recently. Long posts / posts with extremely large pictures will be terminated (or placed behind a cut at a moderators discretion, time permitting of course).
You are more than welcome to post questions, suggestions, tips, gear reviews, sound clips, videos, pictures and/or whatever your heart desires AS LONG AS IT RELATES TO MODERN DRUMMING. We do not want to read about your pet cat. Or the new car you just bought. Unless your cat can drive the car and play the drums at the same time. Then we would demand you post pictures. Behind a cut. :)
