For me a big part of “sex work is work” is that sex work should be socially viewed as totally legitimate work. I should be able to put sex work on my resume. Statistics showing privileges awarded to "boys" means nothing when all trans people comprise 1% of the total population of the US and you're folding a further fraction of that into a total of 49% the population.
