As it seems a lot of folks from LiveJournal have wandered over here, I may as well point out that I can be found on LJ as "aimers81", as when I signed up "amyjo" wasn't available.
I advise viewing my journal with discretion as there will be references to my sexuality and I am prone to cursing. If you don't like foul language or women who love other women, this is not the place for you.
Much as I do on LJ, I will probably forget to update this journal more often than not. I am also terrible at commenting. I am an avid reader, but neglectful in both posts and comments. Always know that my thoughts and best wishes accompany every post you make, whether or not I actually remember to comment. I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to comments and when I actually do find time to comment I've usually forgotten what I meant to say. I suck. It's as simple as that.
As for actualy bio info ... I'm over 30 and under 40 but not telling a real number. I love women, and sometimes have a special but non-sexual lust for the rare man. I am currently very much enjoying the single life though I haven't always been. The end of my last relationship was painful, and has resulted in my living with my parents again. I thought I'd get on my feet and be on my own by now, but it has been and will be a long-term situation. I've come to terms with that and am actually quite proud of the closer relationships I have developed with my large-ish family as a result.
I live in rural, middle-of-nowhere America, Illinois to more precise. Life is not always easy here and "out" is generally a bad idea. I don't hide my sexuality but I don't paint it on billboards either. I won't deny it but I don't see the need to tattoo it on my forehead either. Though maybe if I did, I could actually snag myself a date.
I work in the area of law, which also means I can't talk much about work: ethics can be such a pain in the ass that way. Working in law also mean I have a fondness for debate. Just because I am debating with you doesn't mean I agree or disagree: it means I have the ability to express different points of view and like to needle people about their views to either determine or solidify my own. I make good money and am good at what I do but it also sometimes stresses me to the point of screaming. Like everyone else, I have a job that I enjoy (or maybe not) but as it is a job, it's not happy-fun-time and I will complain about it. It is the right of the worker to complain, I say.
I am a fan of sports. Some but not all, anyway. I could never get into hockey or basketball. Spending more time with my family has changed my views on football and golf, and I quite enjoy those. Most of the time you can find me watching baseball, sometimes even playing a game or two. I like NASCAR too, because I am a redneck like everyone else in my locale. I am not specific in my enjoyment, I don't like just one team, player, or driver. I like everything.
I sometimes, though not for publication lately, write fanfiction. My main fandom years ago was CSI, and I'm currently tinkering with others. I haven't decided what, if any, will ever see the light of day. While I don't expect to actually publish a novel, I am working on a bit of original fiction that I have been working with for years. Maybe one day you can all say you know me before I became a famous author. *bg*
If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ask. I almost always answer questions posed to me, with a general disclaimer that it is my choice as to whether something is too personal.
