Imperial Dalek

Finally!

I've been working on a RussiAmerica fluff fic for the last month or so based on a small inspiration and some at the time current events. About halfway through, I was stuck on what to do with it and dropped it for about a month, but after watching a little more reference material and a good mood thanks to another fic I posted recently, I sat down and typed it up. What this made me realize though is that I should probably hand write it out next time, because when I type, the finished product never seems to be that long *sigh*

Anyhow, I'm a little fond of this drabble as it was my first time even attempting to write the pairing, so please excuse if they aren't as "Alfred" and "Ivan" as they were in Check(ed) Out (which might get a sequel if enough people are interested. I'm really glad it's been so well liked for only a day!)

Title: Animated
Author: ampfox_ang/kleptowerewolf/me
Characters: Russia (Ivan), America (Alfred), various characters of various Soviet cartoons
Pairings: Russia/America
Rating: PG-13 to be safe
Warnings: fluff, human names, very post-Cold War tension!, slander against one of the cutest characters to ever exist in the world
Summary: With their bosses getting on good terms, Ivan and Alfred decide to have a day of relaxation with some old cartoons and Coke. Present day

Russians Russians Everywhere (and a fic)

-I need to use this more often. It would be in my best benefit-

I'm really excited about this print I'm getting, because not only is it super cute, but it is one step closer to my future goal of becoming a translator. I've decided already that I probably won't take French for a while until I forget it enough (if I can forget it) to need a beginners' course. I don't know how most schools would place me since it's been two years, so I've decided to move on in my study and dive straight into Russian.
Why not German as you've always wanted, you ask?

I don't know, honestly. I think it has something to do with commonality in my family of it even though I don't hear it in my everyday life. It's almost too familiar to me, and it wouldn't be as exciting just yet if I went into it knowing what to expect. Therefore, I have to go with my next choice. And besides, I hear Russian literature is quite amazing, and being the book person that I am, it just fits.

In other news, no_role_model88 has become a Russiamerica monster, and after much prompting I FINALLY got her to read the_chosen_end! All the while, though, she's been doodling and happy-obsessive over this pairing, so I did a little story with them. This is really only the second time writing this couple, but the other story isn't yet complete and needs further research (meaning that I need to watch WAY more Soviet cartoons). Posted to russiamerica .
