So. I thought about posting something here today. But I forgot what.
I just realised BtVS S8 #18 is out... and I'm still back at 14!!! I haven't been in to my comic store for too long. I wonder if Terry the comic-book man wonders what's happened to me.
I came across my Writer's Workshop journal from year 9. I've been reading bits of it and some are horrible (mostly my original emo poetry,) but my stories are cool! (Not as cool as Raj's pink elephants story.)
There's one about Susie's first day of prep (it doesn't start with that, it starts with an introduction of how all her favourite things are yellow.) But it's too long to write here and it was never compelted. I will, however, reproduce one of the 5min writing warmups, for which we were given a stimulus, and did at the beginning of every class.
A Tall Tale
Once upon a time there lived a mouse. His name was Eremiah Samatoa Jeremy Bob Stanhople, and he had the longest tail of all the mice. He had extraordinarily strong tail muscles and could balance on the tip of his tail as a party trick. This clever mouse earned the nickname Esjabob Tall-tail, which of course is much easier to say than Eremiah Samatoa Jeremy Bob Stanhople.
Esjabob Tall-tail went on to become a famous circus-mouse. He lived in a large enclosure with all the other mice, with soft straw and delicious food. He did three shows a day on a good wage, and was one of the most respected mice in the country.
Now, OK, not the most exciting story ever. It skipped the middle two stages of narrative, only having the introduction and the resolution. But how sweet is it? And underneath in green pen is written "A good interpretation of the topic." and a big green tick!
it's sad. i can't even think of any more that i've done in the past year than that. shame on me!
but i need a fantasy-themed costume for tonight - fairy tales, disney, whatever. and then the party i'm going to after needs a white top for graffitiing on.

A quote which I found during my study but will probably not be able to fit into the essay itself: "Our ability to learn, therefore, which involves the developing of new responses to familiar stimuli and the result of experience, is man's special characteristic. It serves us in place of powerful instincts, where even the slightest changes only come about with great difficulty." - Moshe Feldenkrais, Awareness Through Movement
EDIT: i wanna start a band and we'll call ourselves the Ampersands. or maybe just Ampersand. but we'd never use the actual ampersand symbol. or maybe we would. I like the word ampersand. cos i like sand. and amps. and oh if we spelled it ampurrsands we could be cats. or, or, they could just make a cat parody of us and use that.
ampersand.
EDIT: 4:28pm done!!! just gtta go printy printy coversheety... yay. :)
Hey guys, I know this is short notice but anyone wanting to come to Wicked with me in the previews, for cheaperer, I'm going to book tickets before Sunday.
I'm thinking Thursday July 3rd.
it's $80 a ticket, a reserve, +bf. So if you want to come with, you have to get $80 to me, and your boyfriend, by saturday night at the latest. I know this is short notice. but the ticket offer only lasts till Sunday and I don't have much time this week to get on the computer. anyone who will be taking me up on this should know my number, and can call me to organise a way to get the money to me. you could deposit it directly into my bank account (i'll give details upon request,) or magically find me. I'll be at home tomorrow morning, but i think i'll be at work, drunk, or in burwood for the rest of the weekend. So. Get cracking!
