Congratulations, student-directeds! Winnie the Pooh was, of course lovely. ITC = wow!!! There's definitely something to be said for scripts that are written by actual authors and small casts versus every international student ever being coerced into doing something they're uncomfortable with. I'm not the biggest fan of creepy plays, but I'm complimenting every play, so I'm going to say that I really liked Emma's outfit in Women in the Park. The Hardy Boys was hilarious. I especially liked Dating for Dummies being a prop and the flower on Ben's shirt.

You know that PADD play that Ian was in where Natalie played me and Sean and Lilly were the grown-up versions of us, who want to take their knowledge of the future back to the past? If I could do take my present knowledge to go through the past with, I know exactly where I would go. I would go back to those lunch tables and grass and trees and ugly dorms and that room with the schmutzy floor and the beds with the sheets coming off (off, not out). Every time they sat together, I would smile inside. Every time their legs touched, I would laugh inside. Every time she unlocked the door, I would wonder if they had really just been on separate computers and hope they hadn't been. Every time they looked like they should be holding hands but weren't, I would know that in their heads they were instead of just wishing I could, like Matilda, make objects move with my eyes. I have never seen people who looked as though they were holding hands when they physically weren't. It was fun not to know. It would be even more fun to know. Well, I knew. I just didn't know that they knew it too.
