Camera-Phone Diet - Monday, May 18

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. Monday I had leftovers from the Greek festival for dinner. They were just as good the second time. No baklava this time, though. Which is probably good for the diet!

Here's what I ate:

Monday, May 18 - Breakfast  Monday, May 18 - Muscle Milk  Monday, May 18 - Lunch  Monday, May 18 - Afternoon Snack  Monday, May 18 - Dinner  Monday, May 18 - Coffee  Monday, May 18 - Evening Snack

Time to Shine

Sorry about the delay. I got back later than expected from this morning's ob-gyn appointment to check my pregnancy progress.

We're cruising towards the finale on season 9 of American Idol, and the Top 3 contestants each performed two songs, one of their own choosing and one selected by the judges.

At the top of the show, host Ryan Seacrest came down the main steps on the stage, introducing where each contestant was from (to be funny, he stood one step above Casey, to seem taller). Then in unison, the Top 3 announced, "This is American Idol."

In It to Win It

"American Idol" is nearing the end of the season, with only three contestants left in the competition. After tonight's results, it will be down to the finale. Next week, the performance show will be on Tuesday and the results show on Wednesday.

Host Ryan Seacrest told viewers at the top of the show that they shouldn't feel too bad for James Durbin, who still got a hometown visit where he was treated like a star, even though he'd been eliminated last week.

This week, the top three would be singing three songs, with some guidance from Beyonce. One song would be their own selection; one would be the choice of singing mentor Jimmy Iovine; the final song would be selected by the judges. Unlike previous years, where specific judges chose songs for specific finalists, this year they shared their decisions.
