19 years
I just got a message to say my Livejournal is 19 years old. That's bonkers.
Renaming this Account
I'll have a good update in the next few days. Things are fairly good, some weirdness here among people but stuff I can sort of deal with. I'm going to rename this account as Alopex since the name has been purged. I don't really connect with the name FoxxieAngel much any more so if Alopex starts appearing in your F-list you know why. I keep it purely because it's what I've been known as online since I was a teenager but honestly the name has some bad memories attached to it. You can still refer to me as Foxxie though.
(no subject)
The last few days have been pretty good. The website business seems to be going ahead. Patrick met with the people who own the advertising firm and on his way out of their office they handed him our first assignment! The person they had before was actually a game design student and had little or no interest in web design. Between me and Patrick we have a good understanding of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Jquery and a few other things. I am fine with design through Photoshop and illustrator, gotta practice flash although that seems to be slowly disappearing as various languages evolve.
On Friday I went to a meeting with the principle of the school Julia is going to. It went well and I think it will be a good school, Julia seemed enthusiastic to start. She's also going to start preschool there on Tuesday, that was completely by chance. The principle said a free place was available, we went down to talk with the woman who runs it and Julia just ran in and sat down lol. I like the woman who runs it, she is very good with the kids and doesn't take any shit haha. They were all so well behaved.
Yesterday was fun as Myself, Patrick, Julia and the dogs went up to the park for a long walk. We collected some shed deer antlers for the dogs to chew on. They were happy to search them out for us. Julia and Aramis ended up being surrounded by a group of American tourists who were all impressed at the fact that she had him doing all the tricks he knows for his ball. The pair of them were loving the attention, absolutely hilarious. Bella wouldn't join in, she just wanted to get her head rubbed. The only issue I had yesterday was that I saw some shit head dragging a wolf on a choke chain. There was no way this was a dog or even part dog. It was intact and I'm assuming the female husky the owner had was intact too... The poor thing had it's ears down and was snarling every time something startled it (and everything startled it) The owner kicked it hard on numerous occasions but he could barely keep it under control, it was very very frightened. I had pulled Julia and my own dogs well back as Bella was getting rather bothered about it. I emailed the rangers. I don't think they would be happy that what essentially appeared to be a wild animal was being brought into a public park full of deer and people.
Patrick is in work today so I ended up taking Julia to the St.Patricks day parade With William, Eimear and Eimear's sister. It was snowing this morning, it didn't settle but it was quite interesting to say the least. I haven't seen William in a few days and he seemed eager for me to go along. I think he felt a bit out of place with Eimear and her sister. Her sister doesn't particularly like William so he needed an ally lol. Julia had a great time, William bought her a flag which she never stopped waving. She adored the marching bands. William and I were laughing at the fact that all the marching bands were American except for one German and one Irish. We really don't go into that thing at all! The Gardai and the fire brigade have a band though and they were pretty good. Other than the bands it wasn't all that great. There must have been quite a cut to funding this year.

Writer's Block: Don’t look back in anger
Do you have any regrets from this year?
Never getting to see my niece and missing her funeral.
Writer's Block: Peace of mind
What kind of spiritual or meditative practice keeps you feeling zen?
Kicking the shit out of a training bag :)
Writer's Block: See the music
What's your favorite music video of all time?
Influenced a hell of a lot of things in my life.
Writer's Block: Teenage dream
If you arrived at your front door and saw your first love standing there, what would you do or say?
I'd say "You're right, we are better as friends" and just catch up with what we've both been up to.
Thanks everyone.
Just to let people know I am, for the most part, staying at my parents. Myself and Patrick have written down our plan of action. Our goal is to be in England by April. He was looking up job vacancies in various Art Galleries throughout the U.K. and they all pay more than his current job. He has 7 years experience, six of which were in one of Dublin's more well known modern art galleries, and he has done various other projects in between.
To those who donated, I am really grateful, it seriously means a lot to me but please don't think that I am looking for handouts here. I don't really want to ask for donations. Everyone is effected in this economic climate. Even those of you who offered and are unable to, it means so much that you'd even consider.
You're comments mean everything, I'm always terrified that people look at my journal thinking I am some sort of demon for keeping my child and dogs here. You are right though, most of this was out of my control.
Patrick feels guilty about this too. He feels he's trapped me, I told him he hasn't. It was my choice to move in, and when I did the place was not as bad. He had a better job at that time, we were able to repair things, it all seemed to be going the right way. He has done nothing but his best. He's at work/travelling almost 14 hours a day and when he gets back he throws his overalls on and tries to do a bit more to push the house in the right direction. He is so selfless. Everything he does is for me, Julia and the dogs.
So yes. We have our plan. As much as we would like to move sooner it just wouldn't be possible. We should have no problems moving to the U.K and I would be able to get citizenship almost instantly as I was born there and lived there till I was 10. Since my father is English and my mother is Irish I have the advantage of dual citizenship (I've spent my time at the parents reading up on this!)
I don't know when I will get back on. My online time is a bit limited right now! But thanks everyone once again.
