Yes, I know its been a forever and a year since I put something on this barren journal... BUT I'm in a type-y kind of mood lately! Just want to let the World Wide Web know how good ol' Alice is feeling ( my real name is Kirstin... *ahem* Hello my name is Kirstin and I'm a very bad blogger... * HI KIRSTIN!*)

About a week to two weeks ago I *FINALLY* got my Mac Book Pro! Thank GOD OH MIGHTY! I can actually do school work at home this year! And I got the brand spanking new CS5 which is all nice and pretty, but I cant hardly do anything with my lovely shiny virginal photoshop or flash or ANYTHING cuz I need to save up for a tablet...
Did I mention, I'm not the best saver in the world?
But at least I found a cheep one. I'm planning to buy a Bamboo Wacom tablet. Its $69.oo, it seems like it has everything that I need and its with in my price range. I'll buy quality later when I have the money.
Speaking of money, I'm looking for a second job. The job that I have now is through work study but the cut my hours like no ones business! Because my school is not paying for summer work study and the place that I work for is like a hole in the wall art center. *sigh*
But thats all real world issues, lets talk about creative stuff!
So I think I'm pretty solid on what I'm doing for my thesis film for senior year, which is good because I was in between two different films: Black Bird and Wonderland. Black Bird is based off of my Original Character named ( wait for it...) Black Bird aka Bree Johnson who is a female Masked Vigilante. The Story is that she and her boyfriend David live in the big city. David is an Photographer for the city's investigative unit and he is caught taking photos of a crime lord doing a very illegal transaction. There is a ransom for him and Bree goes to the police but do little for him and David is Killed. Bree is overcome with anger and sadness and plans to take matters into her own hands... but in the wrong way. She was going to go after the Crime Lord, but the night she was going to try to kill him, she was intercepted by a person called the Vigilant, one of the first vigilantes in the city. He persuades her to not kill the crime lord, but to bring him to justice. So The Vigilant trains her himself into becoming the newest vigilante on the streets and she delivers justice to the crime lord who killed her boyfriend... Black Bird Style!
Wonderland is loosely based off of Alice in wonderland but with a different kind of twist. In Wonderland there are four families, The Hearts who are the Royal family of Wonderland, Diamonds, Spade and Clubs. Each family oversees a certain division of life in Wonderland. All was well until the Evil King of the Spade family grew jealous of the power and adoration the Heart family has, so he plotted to assassinate the whole family so that the Spades would be on top. The King of spades succeeded in his evil plot, except that there was one sole survivor of the House of Heart and the only Heir to the throne: Alisha Marie Victore, Crown Princess of Hearts. Alisha was very young with the slaughter of her family took place, so the Queen of Diamonds adopted her since she couldn't have any children of her own and was very close to the queen of hearts. Alisha grew up not knowing of her true roots, until she became of age.When Alisha did become of age, the Prince of Spades, Scottsdale "MAD" Topper, became very interested in her and they started to fall in love. But little did Scott know that the Evil King who killed Alisha's family was reborn in him and is using him to try to kill Alisha!

Writer's Block: Film therapy
Are there any movies you watch when you're feeling anxious or depressed? If so, what are they, and what about them calms you down and/or lifts your spirits?
Yup, usually I watch something that would transport me to another world. Like a fantasy or even a musical. Some of my favorite movies to watch are Star Trek ( 2009) and The Prince of Egypt. I love Star Trek because of the score is just awesome and I love the characters. Lens flare makes me happy too lol. I love Prince of Egypt because of the songs and the beautiful animation that they created for the movie still takes my breath away.

What are your all-time favorite snacks? Do you have different snacks for different activities (such as chips at work/school; Cheetohs during deadlines, or popcorn during movies/gaming)? How often does your taste in snacks change?
All time favorite snacks? I love popcorn. Its crunchy, buttery, warm and great during movies and aimless websurfing. My favorite Popcorn is Kettle corn cuz its sweet. Nothing is better than sweet and buttery. I also like trail mix. I found out I like the stuff while I'm reading Transformers fan fiction. I also like twizzlers in stressfull situations, so I know that i would be eating those while I'm trying to finish my animation lol
I think I might have some popcorn now...

WHAT?! I ACTUALLY HAVE A VALENTINE THIS YEAR? *dies*
Hey gurl hey
So yesterday was Valentines day, or Singles Awareness Day to many. But after spending many years being single and painfully aware of it, this year was a year of change. i actually had one and got an expesense free date out of it plus under age booze- which is awesome by the way.
Whoes the lucky guy you ask? Well it was this guy named Konrad I've been talking to on this site called Plenty of Fish. Not as bad as this horrid site called Local Hookupz ( yes... with a Z) and not as prissy and limited as all thoes paid for dating sites. This one is actually free. Anyway, I was talking to this guy on and off since April I believe. After long months of corrispondence but no real hint of intrest from him, he messages me and asks for my AIM. Were finally talking, getting to know each other, we meet and then bam he's my Valentine. I know its pretty early to ask that, but come on, he was available and he said yes.
The date itself was really fun.We met up at a resturant, had some good babeque and drinks. Then went to go see The Wolfman... the movie was okay. Not the best. Maybe because I'm such a vampire girl lol. But I did have a lot of fun cuddling and some kissing... heh heh. Afterwards we was going to go karaoking but we couldn't find the place, so we just went to starbucks for some tea.
Yes, it wasn't the most romantic date ever but I don't like that cliche stuff, this was just my kind of date.
