Message 2 from my Mom...
Hi everyone,
It seems that "Homewood General Hospital" is merging with the show "The Young and Restless" to create a new show called "The NotQuiteso Young but plenty Restless can't seem to get into Homewood General Hospital."
This morning got a call from the cardiologist that the hospital has had so many traumas that all surgeries for the day had to be cancelled because there were no available beds. So.again we hurry up and wait.....and wait. Angioplasty is scheduled now for sometime next week. (Wednesday, Thursday or Friday)
Guess Di summed it up best in her message "This gives us a couple more days to "pray it up" as the Rickster would say!" We are so fortunate to have all these prayers going up from all of you. Your support has really helped sustain us through this constant preparation and let down.
Will keep you up to date next week. Here is a little humor from Alan to close this week's episode.

Hi Everyone,
You would think that since John is a professor that he could pass all
tests. You would think he could have gotten the answers from one of his
colleagues but NOooooo.
John has to do it the hard way and not pass his heart stress test right
before the parathyroid surgery. The stress test showed that he has an
enlarged ventricle so he has to have a cardiac catherization (angiogram)
Friday morning to see what is up with his heart. Can't do any other kinds
of surgery until that is figured out so the Tuesday surgery was cancelled
late Monday night. Boooooo. We will know Friday where we go from here. We
just aren't sure what an enlarged ventricle might mean but keep John in
your prayers.
John's Mom continues to visit and she and John have had some wonderful
quality time together. At least one good thing comes from this in that she
and John will get to spend good time together and not hospital visiting time.
Well, I will keep you all up to date with the latest information.
