For those of you who don't know me in person, I'm Alec Austin, a professional computer game designer and graduate of the Comparative Media Studies department at MIT. I'm also a graduate of the Clarion West & Viable Paradise workshops, a former nuclear reactor operator, and freelance writer. I've drafted several novels, published a variety of articles (as well as a D&D adventure) and tend to post about books, TV, and game design. I tend not to comment on current events very much, because the news makes me angry.
My Friends Policy: I put people on my friends list if I'm interested in reading what they have to say on a regular basis. Reciprocation is by no means required. By the same token, I won't necessarily reciprocate if you put me on your friendslist-- and if I don't, odds are I haven't even noticed the change. (It's also possible that I like the content of your entries but the formatting makes my eyes bleed, or something similar.)
