.:AL:UK Otakus:.

I can't seem to find AL:UK, has the domain been changed or something? And if that's the case could someone give me the URL so that I can access it again.

Anyway, that's neither here no there. Just making a post to this to tell a rather strange happening from last night...

I was in the Cathouse (you may remember that as both the location of my 22nd as well as my regular haunt) chatting to a couple of mates and getting rather wasted when some dude looked at my Green Lantern t-shirt and gave me the thumbs up. A couple of seconds later he seemed to double take before leaning in and saying "Stem?" Now this isn't an uncommon event, considering that I'm on the Cathouses forum as Stem and often meet people from there on a weekly basis. Assuming he was just another forumer from there I didn't quite click when he introduced himself as 'Hawkeye'. A couple of minutes later I suddenly realised my chance meeting with a fellow AL:UKer and returned to him for ten minutes of proper introductions and banter. Can't really remember much of what was said, I know he commented that he thought I had long hair (which goes to show how far back dated his image of me is :p.) Anyway, it was such a strange event that I figured it warranted posting.

For those of you who don't check the forums much, I thought I would let you know on here, in the hope that you will notice :)

Cos Jen is busy in Japan and deserves a well-earned break, threads about the next con are up :) So visit them and make sure you post!

Homg! Since it is now officially Saturday 25th March it means that it is officially just one week until the 10th AL:UK con! I am sooooo excited! It feels like forever since I saw everyone. It is near on a year for a lot of people. I am, of course, looking forward to meeting the debutants for the first time too (maybe debutants wasn't a good word >.> maa...nevermind.) So yeah, this is me just being a spam wh0re (as I just quoted to Shabz on msn, ahaha) but dude this has gotta be acknowledged in here. 1 week to go!!! *zips around* Weeee~

Just to let you all know but all the planning is in order for the next con, we have the hotel sign up thread and the sign up thread up :) Please spread the news and love and lets get this convention totally buzzing!

In the event of an AL:UK Movie, myself and a secretive board of directors have already cast several of the actors who will play the Forums users. If you haven't been cast you can of course appeal to myself and I will pass it on to the directors.

The exact plotline of the Movie remains a mystery, but with a cast list as executive as this it's hard not to expect it to be an instant Box Office hit!

(For those of you who read this and are lacking in either a sense of realism or humour, this is just a laugh. If you weren't cast already, it's nothing personal. I was up till 5.30am searching for and cropping the cast photos of those already cast. Secondly, if you don't like who you've been cast as, see above!)

The actors and actresses cast were done so for a number of reasons, be it their physical similarity, noticable personality traits, or even there similar accents! So, it is with great pleasure, and a small amount of sleep deprivation, that I present to you, the cast of the 1st AL:UK movie!

Need you all to check out Con planning sometime soon [as in now :p] as we've had major changes to next cons location and time and general proposal. The quicker its sorted the quicker I can get it confirmed and we can have another ace con :)
