On June 24, Prague's Dejvice will once again belong to science, namely Science for the Future. Almost all scientific disciplines will be presented in more than 100 exhibitions in a fun and playful way. This year's 14th year of VědaFest will once again offer, in addition to stands, thematic lectures for schools and a science show on the festival stage. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Brno University of Technology welcomed a delegation from the Czech Technical University led by Rector Michal Pěchouček on May 22. The meeting was also attended by vice-rectors and other members of the management of both universities.
The aim of the partnership is to support joint scientific activities, develop the expertise of students and academic staff, and strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in the field of nuclear chemistry and related disciplines.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University, students, in cooperation with the Czech Technical University and the Prague 6 district, transformed a part of Kolejní Street. Instead of a space filled with cars, a temporary sports and recreation zone was created for students, local residents and children from nearby schools. The project, based on the principles of tactical urbanism, shows how the public space of the Dejvice Campus could function in the future. The grand opening will take place as part of the opening of the FAZÓNA exhibition of studio works on Monday, May 25 at 5:00 p.m.
A Ph.D. student Ondřej Štogl from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE) has received a Fulbright Scholarship and will leave for Stanford University in the fall. In his research at FEE and Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC), he focuses on Vehicle-to-Grid technology, which makes it possible to use electric vehicle batteries not only for driving, but also to stabilize the electricity grid. California is the perfect place for this research. Thanks to its high share of photovoltaics, it is already dealing with problems that Europe may face in the future.
Artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing events at universities. Representatives of technical universities who met at the Brno University of Technology (BUT) agreed on the need for strategic use of AI. The main question remains how to effectively and responsibly integrate it into the life and activities of educational institutions.
