Casey tapped her nails lightly against the mahogany of Liz’s desk. It was a habit the judge had always despised, but that no longer mattered. She wasn’t around to give Casey that look anymore. She wouldn’t be around to give it to her ever again and as much as Casey had always hated it, she would give anything to see it again. She would jump at the chance to annoy her lover one more time. It seemed like such a silly thing to wish for but as she packed up her late partners chambers, silent tears threatening to spill, it fit.
