[what's going on]
I haven't forgotten about the Ajan, I swear. I've just been really busy and … yeah. Anyway, I've been shuffling writing communities around, so here's a 101.
ajanfic is now friends-only, for legal reasons. If you want access, just ask and I'll send you an invite.
pithiness holds ALL my writing—Ajan (as much as I've posted in LJ, at any rate; I haven't delved into older stuff yet), academia, fanfic, etc. It's also a closed community, so if you want access, just ask.
vespertina. This community with its exceedingly boring name is for my university writing tutorial project. Normally, I don't like pimping out my writing, but I figured it's something that might appeal to you. (Though a fair warning: there are a few character names that overlap with Ajan people, but I'll fix that when I get back to Ajan writings.) Anyway, the gist of the story is… well, I suck at summarizing. Basically, there's a human girl, Amelia. Her father, Aloysius, was turned into a vampire when she was a newborn. Now she's 15. He's managed to sneak through the legal system with his "questionable life status", but now he's working as a professor at Vespertina, a private school for supernaturals. His ex-wife (who doesn't believe he's a vampire and thinks he's just delusional) revealed that he was living at Vespertina and leaving Amelia with his sister, while he was supposed to have custody of her. Thus, to keep custody, he had to either change jobs or Amelia had to move to Vespertina. Aloysius lobbied the headmistress, Evangeline Aurelien, to change school policy, and now Vespertina allows human students who have connections to the supernatural world. Naturally, many of the students are less than impressed that Amelia's there. Stuff ensues.
Hardly the most convincing read it! argument, but if you're interested, let me know and I'll send you an invite. It's purely original work, so you know the whole copyright spiel: don't steal, borrow, etc.
