Older Not Dead Promptathon #05 is open for prompts

Wording shamelessy stolen from my lovely co-mod nakeisha

older_not_dead, the multi-fandom, multi-pairing (slash or het), 'love for the over 40s', Promptathon Community is now taking prompts for its fifth Promptathon. As with our previous challenges both stories and artwork (icons, banners, etc.) are permitted.

It's a Community that's a mixture of the usual challenge promptathons/ficathons/commentathons/storyathons - with one exception.

The exception is that each half of the pairing, in the stories/artwork, has to be aged forty or older. It doesn't mean that they have to be forty in the television series, film, book, whatever, just that in the story/artwork they both have to be over forty.

Both slash and het pairings from any and all fandoms will be welcome.

The theme for the fifth promptathon is:

Love and Hate

So basically, you get to submit prompts that show both sides of love in a relationship. Plus, love or hatred of other things or other people.

Prompts (as many as you wish) may be submitted from now until 25th February and the actual promptathon will begin on 1st March and run throughout the entire month of March.

Full details can be found here.

And please remember despite the name being an NCIS term the community is NOT an NCIS specific one, it is open to all fandoms and all pairings.

Please feel free to pimp this on your own LJ or in communities if you wish to do so.

Help required...CAPS within...

OpenOffice users:

Is there anyway to stop OpenOffice Write auto-correcting words made in capitals to lower case?

I want to write some WORDS in CAPS but it keeps changing them back to lowercase.

I can't figure out how to stop it. I've tried CAPSlock and SHIFT to no avail.

Monday! And it has a prupose!

Today the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) - asexuality.org are running AVED. The Asexual Visibility and Education Day.

And I thought really I should do something. You know aside from announcing to those who didn't already know I;m asexual ;-)

So I am opening the floor to questions so to speak. As there's not a huge amount of information about asexuals out there so I thought I'd offer a personal perspective.

So any questions you feel you want to ask, feel free.

And other asexuals on the flist - join in and answer if you wish.

This entry is also unflocked.

Older Not Dead Promptathon #04 is open for prompts

older_not_dead, the multi-fandom, multi-pairing (slash or het), 'love for the over 40s' (they don't have to be 40+ in canon), Promptathon Community is now taking prompts for its fourth Promptathon (where does the time go?).

So between 40 and...however logn their lifespan is.

Both slash and het pairings from any and all fandoms will be welcome.

The theme for this promptathon is 'Autumn'. This means that all prompts must be related in some way to 'autumn'. However, it doesn't have to be the season autumn, it can apply to 'the autumn of their lives'. (Amercians might call this 'Fall')

Prompts (as many as you wish) may be submitted from now until 27th September and the actual promptathon will begin on 1st October and run throughout the entire month of October.

Full details can be found here.

And please remember despite the name being an NCIS term the community is NOT an NCIS specific one, it is open to all fandoms and all pairings. and this mod would really love to see some dS.

Please feel free to pimp this on your own LJ or in communities if you wish to do so. Wording shamelessy stolen from mod of organised awesomeness - nakeisha.

Fic: The RCMP Handbook and Guidelines on Probing

So china_shop made this post which referenced this link and I got bitten by a plot bunny that had the sense of humour of a dirty minded teenager. And I ended up writing it.

There is no pairing at all! And it's rated R, or however dirty your mind is. I take no responsbility for the latter. As far as I know the RCMP do not have a handbook on probing but if they do I want to read it.

110% CRACK. You have been warned.
