Tornado warning!!
Wow. Lance just went through his first tornado warning!!
I seem to remember there being the occasional tornado or hurricane here in CT…shame on Balfour Beatty for not building basements into their houses!! Joel, Lance, and I went into the closet in the laundry room, since it was the farthest away from any windows that we could get. Everything is fine and the storm passed through with no issue.
Joel has all of today off, but he is going to go to the base at some point to do a little research for an hour or so. I think Lance and I might go to the garden center at wal mart and see if they have any flowers or plants that I want to put in our front garden. Some little garden fairy came by yesterday morning…not an hour after I posted the entry about weeding…and got rid of all of our weeds for us!! I am happy because I hate hate hate weeding. So whoever that little fairy was, thank you so much!!
When Joel went into work at the last minute yesterday I ended up going to the aquarium with my friend Jenny. Her husband is one of Joel’s classmates (both here and from the Naval Academy) and I am really glad I have gotten to know her during their time here. Her husband is going to a boat that will be in New Hampshire for a year, and then is supposed to come back here…so if we end up staying here like we want to we will get to see a lot of them as well. She has a little boy who is almost a year and a half, and they are having another baby in September. Anyway. So we decided to go to the aquarium…and wouldn’t you know it, as soon as we got there we both got calls from our husbands saying surprise we’re done for the day. We decided to let them have some alone time at home and we stayed at the aquarium. Since most of the aquarium is outdoors now, I needed to make sure Lance was going to be ok…so I got out his new little hat and sunglasses and he was good to go.
I think he sort of looks like he could be the missing Blues Brother. Lol.
I also was having some fun playing around with the editing software on Iphoto yesterday.

I guess that is all for today…maybe now I can do some more stitching since Lance just went down for his nap!!
