Aging Hipster

There are people out there that still haven't seen Star Wars. This should be required viewing for children, like Sesame Street.

Hey there ! Hope you're good and that all is well; here to tell you about our new band HOT ONE; this feels ad-like , but and the fact that one of the folks in our band used to be in GUIDED BY VOICES, and another in SHUDDER TO THINK, we think we qualify as aging hipsters, and you might like what we're up to. We're quite sure we don't suck. Anyway we think it'd be worth you checking it out at least, we'd be pleased to have you as a comrade over at HOT ONE, so check us out.....maybe some of u saw some of us in past bands/ lives

I was in fifth grade the last time the cicadas came. They drove me crazy. Someone taught me that if you grabbed their fore leg and pulled, you'd pop their head right off. I tried it and sure enough, it worked. I killed a lot of 'em that way. They drove me to it. I remember being so annoyed with the cicada noise that I went out with a friend and we killed as many cicadas as we could.

I've changed a lot since then. The thought of going on a cicada killing spree seems somewhat cruel to me now. I saw an adult emerging from it's shell tonight and it actually made me feel good. We'll see if I still feel this way after a few sleepless nights. I certainly don't think I'm going to enjoy them for much longer.

i thought i might take this moment to inaugurate the comm with its first post. welcome to myself and greg. this is a wonderful new haven for what we are calling the aging hipster and might i add my own personal favorite adjective EXTRAORDINAIRE. it will be fun to ban 15 year olds.
