Aren't you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.

hello there.
im a 30 year old female in seattle.

everyone now who is into it is between the ages of 13-17 so i feel old and without people my age to be nostalgic with.

Undoing of David Wright - WEST COAST TOUR

"The Undoing of David Wright is one of those bands that will become an underground music darling, they have the heart and the style to do it."
- The Scatter

"...creative, talented, unique and actually a blast to see live... The Undoing of David Wright will absolutely eat the lunch of these derivative little New Wave groups that you guys love to hype so much."
- Dallas Observer

"If you were to pummel an ipod loaded with Birthday Party and Thrill Kill Kult tracks through a sonic supercollider the result would come close to The Undoing of David Wright. These Denton death rock darlings infuse a diverse array of influences... Their innovative aesthetics, creative story telling, pounding rhythms, and raucous live show, however, never fail to pack performances with the gyrating bodies of smiling fans."

Question to the Peanut Gallery.

Doesn't anyone realize how crappy YouTube is as a a video server? It uses a non-stardard Flash format, and compresses the bejezzsus out of the clips. Saving the clips are a PITA and the end result is just hideous!

Please, if you have good quality source material, upload it in it's original form to a host like Rapidshare or any number of other video servers out there!

YT may be good enough for the "Ipod generation" who never heard of "HiFi", and were raised on el-cheapo VHS tapes, and third generation cassettes, but we know better, don't we?

LINK WRAY: Rest in peace.

Link Wray - Detroit [2003]
Link Wray - Detroit [2003]

So I was Christmas shopping at an outlet mall outside of Chicago, and I get an SMS message today from George, saying this:
Link Wray died.

This blows. But moreso, how unknown this legend of music still is, after decades of work - playing out on the road, up to his death at age 76. I drove the 4-hour drive home and hopped onto the laptop - and nowhere in mainstream media news could I find anything about this.

But the blogs and smaller sites know.
And they give him respect where it's due.

Rest in peace, Link. I will always remember you in Detroit, onstage, rocking out, screaming into the mic, "One lung!!!" Your music will always move me, and mean something to me.

UPDATE: The CBC has published a story about Link, and you can find it here:
