Hello, anyone who still might be here. :3 Can't tell you how glad I am to find a semi-active comm, even if it's been a bit since the last updates. I don't care, there's still hope, and I love to see it. I've been extremely impressed with the caliber of writing I've seen so far around here... and feel like sharing some of my own.

It's rather odd. Probably because my strange, tainted love belongs to Korso and Preed more than anyone who, I don't know, we're SUPPOSED to like. (Except for Stith. She's my screaming amazon goddess of geekdom, and her action-figure protects my laptop from evil vibes.)  

One thing I've always really wondered about was how in the world they all came together, this bizarre mix of people, and where they were before it all. And specifically... how the hell did Preed get that metal plate in his head? What happened, and why? How'd he get through it - alone, or was someone there? Was he different before that, or the same old creep we know and love/loathe? I'm a psychology minor, and the concept of personality changes from head injuries, well... many a plotbunny was born. 

So here; if you feel like some dark humor, twisted speculation, and Dysfunction Junction, enjoy.

I wrote this after a short email conversation with Specter06, a writer on FF.net who is interested in reviving Titan A.E by sharing ideas and thoughts on Titan A.E. Whether or not that will be possible depends largely if there are writers, artists & an audience out there.

So I'm sharing this fic with the Titan A.E community on LJ (not sure if there's anyone left), before it goes on FF.net. Not technically the movie, but more of the prequel.

Just only recently saw the movie (after hearing it was quite similar to another, Treasure Planet, that i love) and was pleasently surprised. It was pretty good.
Im now looking for fanfiction of anykind>>???

Preferably something with romance or relationships?? Any kind?
Also preferably involving Korso. He was awesome.

First, I had a dream the other day, that I found myself to be in Pierce, Colorado, and I started laughing because it was connected to Titan  A.E.!

Is anyone else slightly annoyed that there's sound as they're floating around in space? Like, sounds of engines, etc.

Something I was impressed with: The fact that when they showed the ships all evacuating earth, you saw some of them get blown up, or hit by debris. Usually they don't show that sort of sad thing happening.

Something else... if any of you are writing fanfics (or other writings) and need help with what foods they might be eating, or what they'd taste like, etc,

So, we see people evacuating at the start. Does that mean that all the people in the drifter colonies were rich people back on earth?

So... this is just a random musing, but do you think that the earth shown in the movie had religion?  And if so, what religion? Someone said something like  "Just pray that-". Or was that just a throwaway type comment that had just stuck around for a long time? I think it'd be cool if they had a really different religion by that stage! And I wonder if Cale still believes in  it, if he did at all as a child.
It totally doesn't matter, and I'm not looking for an argument about the merits of religion/not having a religion. It's just me wondering way too much based on one line.

Hmm... I was thinking about the Valkyrie.
How much do we know about it?
I mean, could we "put it together" ?
For example, we know that it has three types of thrusters: one for space, one for warp travel, and one for atmospheric travel.
it has heatsensing sensory, and sort of a radar or what. Also it has weapons, perhaps some sort of lasers?
Any ideas on the Valkyrie?

There was something I couldn't understand about them.
How did Cale escape from where the Drej had imprisoned him?
I was thinking, about some wave-phenomenas (like interference and such) but Cale didn't seem like he used those... So I am puzzled by this?
Can it be that the Drej never had imprisoned anything organic?

So, why were they in Pierce, Colorado, at the start? What's the significance of that place, if any?
