The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) annual awards program recognizes outstanding achievement by fundraising professionals, as well as youth demonstrating a passion for philanthropy.
Each year, the AFP Research Council awards the Skystone Partners Prize for Research to the author of a book that contributes substantially to the knowledge and understanding of fundraising and/or philanthropic behavior. Authors of published works on fundraising and philanthropy are encouraged to submit a book or monograph. Prize winners will receive a cash award of $5,000 and be honored at AFP ICON in April 2026.

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy Early Career Emerging Scholar Award honors an individual who is emerging as a contributing scholar or scholar-practitioner to the discourse on philanthropy and fundraising. The award is given for a significant body of scholarship or a single extraordinary research achievement and in recognition of potential for future research.
