Welcome to  adventawards, a weekly icontest founded by  terra_katta, dedicated solely to the Square-Enix CGI movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, a sequel to the original game.Your mods are  phacelia and aeriiths.Main layout features Cloud and Sephiroth. and userinfo features Red XIII. 1. You must be a member to participate/vote. 2. You are allowed to make two icons per challenge. 3. Your icon must meet LJ standards (100x100 max, 40KB max, JPG, PNG, GIF). It's not my rule, it's LJ's. 4. Your icon must feature something from the movie. 5. Do NOT use fanart or doujinshi. It gets complicated. 6. Do NOT use another's bases or someone else's icon. Get creative-- don't resort to thievery! 7. Try not to make your icon too sexually explicit or use really harsh language. It's fine in moderation, but don't overdo it. 8. Try to submit a recently made icon. 9. Stick to the theme! 10. Do not use/display/advertise the icon until the challenge is over. It's only fair. If it's noticed, you'll be asked to take it down and no harm will be done. If the request isn't heeded, the icon will be disqualified. |
Themes are weekly. The challenge will go up late Wednesday night and icons (which are submitted to the screened challenge post) will be accepted until the Monday following it. Voting will then take place from Monday to late Wednesday. Rinse and repeat. All icons will be due by 10 PM PST (or rather whenever the polls go up). Voting will run from late Monday night to Wednesday night. Voting will be done via screened commenting. Typically, you'll vote for your three favorite icons, along with an icon for one of these special categories: Best Adaptation: The icon you feel made the most of the given theme. Best Emotion: The icon you feel conveys emotion the best. Best Color: The icon you feel uses color the best. Most Creative/Most Inventive: The icon you feel to be the most unique. The voting will vary depending on how many icons are submitted that week. If there are 10 or fewer icons, there will be voting for only first, second, and third place. Voting posts with 15 or more icons will have voting for the three number placements and one of the four special categories. 20 or more, and a mod's choice winner will be included in the results.
