Over 100 Years of Being an Important Resource

Originally named the American Brotherhood for the Blind, the American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults was established in 1919. Since that time, we have provided programs and services to the blind and deafblind mostly without cost and always with an emphasis on Braille. We inspire the fundamental importance of independence, Braille literacy, tactile fluency, and equality for the blind.

2027 Braille Calendars

"Having a Braille calendar to reference at the office, home, or on the go has helped keep me organized. Adding events to an online calendar is nice, but reading the information in Braille is faster and more convenient." — Braille Calendar testimonial

The Braille Books Program

Every month, we send blind children a Braille book from a popular children's series to encourage reading, strengthen Braille literacy, and help them build their own book collections.
