Stars and Lightning

Once upon a time I posted an Epic Merlin Post of Epicness. This was the result of a random conversation at a Torchwood convention, of all places, and was mostly for the benefit of my friends, who looked had at me blankly whenever I had mentioned yet another "OMG EPIC MERLIN-RELATED-THING!!".

Six months (and yet another Torchwood convention) later and here I am with the Epic Merlin Post of Epicness v2.0!

Only this one's a little different. This one makes the last one look anything-but-epic in comparison. This one is a proper rec post - made for the masses and meant to be updated regularly.

So. I have un-pinned the first Epic Merlin Post of Epicness, transferred most of the recs from that one to this one, and added about one hundred and eleventy thousand MORE recs to create a truly EPIC mutli-ship/character (with a strong leaning towards Arthur/Merlin & Bradley/Colin) rec post, covering everything from vids to fics to random things of awesome!!

Only, LJ has these silly “posting limits”, and what was intended to be one post has had to be broken up into several posts!

Like my Epic Merlin Post of Epicness, this is a multi-ship/character, multi-media rec list, with a very strong leaning towards my OTP - Eames/Arthur.

The fic recs are 99.9% Eames/Arthur and will probably stay that way, but hopefully the art and vid recs will cover a wider range of pairings/characters (simply because it is much quicker/easier to look at a piece of art and/or vid than it is to read a fic, and when I do have time to read I obviously prefer to read my OTP).

25th-27th September is Merlin FanFiction Appreciation Weekend!

I recently dived head first back into Merlin fandom - Merlin/Arthur will forever be one of my favourite pairings. I just adore them! ♥ ♥

I have been devouring fic for the past couple of weeks and fully intend to post a rec list tomorrow (have RL plans today so don't have time) as part of this weekend's festivities!

If anyone has any Merlin/Arthur fic recs I'd love to hear them...

I'm particularly loving modern au at the moment, which is ironic because when I first got into the fandom I refused to read them! I was all about the canon back then... But modern au is an absolute staple of Merlin fandom. They are definitely my favourite now!

So. I did a thing that I haven't done in a long, LONG time. I signed up for a fest! Specifically merlin_holidays

So now I have to do something else that I haven't done in a long, LONG time... write a fic! :O

So (I like starting sentences with "so" apparently) in order to get in a bit of practice, I thought I'd maybe write a few drabbles if anyone wants one?

Only offering Merlin/Arthur at the moment as that's what I'll be writing for merlin_holidays (obvs) but if you'd like one just comment here with a 1-3 word prompt and I'll do my best (no promises!).
