Long Post Is Long
Yeah, haven't posted in awhile. So have a longish post. Behind cuts.
My brother referring to the Flyers/Rangers game on my cousin's FB status: "It's awesome that they won, but this is one more reason why I hate the shoot-out. It's just not the way a game should be decided. I just hate seeing a game decided by a method in which you are no longer actually playing the game. It'd be like baseball going to a home run derby contest if the game is still tied after 10 innings. That being said, bring on those bitch-ass Devils."
Well said, John. Shoot-outs are lame! Even Brian Boucher said so after the game. Well, not in those words, but it was implied!
Also? I really wished the Rangers could have made it to the playoffs, too. I did not like having to root against them. Some might say I am a bad Philly fan for wishing good things for a New York team, but whatevs. As for the Devils? Hells yes I am gonna be actively rooting against them. We hates the Devils. Oh yes. And the Flyers won 5 of 6 games against them this season. The Devils could not seem to beat my boys and I hope that trend continues.
Now let me discuss baseball. Holy shit, my Phillies are kicking so much ass right now. It's amazing how much I look forward to every single game. They seriously make me so happy. Even if I am feeling down, they still manage to make me smile. And now I sound like such a dork. But I don't care.The offense is on fire and omg, we have Roy Halladay! I still can't believe it sometimes.
I miss Harry Kalas. Today's the anniversary of his very last broadcast. :( Fitting that today is the home opener.
In other news, Holly is gonna be on my tv again! YAY! But I am disturbed a little that she will be playing the mother of a teenager. Holy crap. The show sounds intriguing, at least. It's even set in a ficticous town based on the Philadelphia Main Line which amuses me so very much. And this gives me more FH AU weekend options. ;)
Speaking of Charmed related people, there are sneak peaks of a few panels from the new comic. Even in comic form, Piper has fabulous hair. She also appears to have another child, likely the little girl seen in the series finale. Her name better be Prue! In this panel, there is a wee Chris and Wyatt sighting. For some reason Chris looks older. WTF? And I hate Piper's shirt. But I know bare midriff is a requirement for female comic characters. *sigh*
Still, I can't wait. I am a Piper fan, and I want to see what new canon she could possibly have.
