Community Programs

Our community programs help youths, adults, and elders value heritage more. We learn from history and guide voices to heal. They honor the Safe Space protocol 😷😷 Distance Learning formats (Zoom, Skype, etc.).

Street Team International

International is a virtual, interactive study-abroad program that promotes intercultural and intergenerational dialogue.

Features: We connect young people with other youths and elders through video-recorded dialogue, helping them learn and appreciate diverse perspectives.

Impact: We bridge generational and racial gaps through honest, safe questions and answers. Participants also learn information literacy.

Benefits:

  • Relationships are created and experiences are shared on participants’ social media pages (if they choose).
  • Youths develop writing and oral (speaking) skills.
  • Participants receive a hard copy of their work.

Our Mission in Action

Street Team programs represent our mission: “Inspiring the Young Minds of Our Future.”
Participants grow as an investment in people and places.

We require college students and adult community members to learn how to implement and carry on our programs. This approach builds buy-in and allows each community to benefit from its own growth and engagement.

Partnership & Sustainability

We serve as hands-on consultants with INNW. Partners learn our syllabus and curriculum so they can independently replicate future INNW programs. Youth who participate and excel will share their experiences and become ambassadors for our youth programs.

Commitment from partners for the entire term is vital to the success of each program.

Budget & Contact Information

Budget requirements start at approximately $10,000, covering all costs for twelve weekly classes.     We also consult and collaborate with partners to seek foundation support.
