Well, I hate to do this, and I swore I never would, but due to a retard, I have to go friends only for a while...so for those of you who want to read what I have to say (or not say) then you'll have to log in...otherwise...GTFO!!!!
So yeah, I guess I kinda took a few months off. It wasn't really intentional, I just got busy with school and being with Katie and then vacations and stuff...for most of the details you can probably jump over to her journal and read all that to catch back up...
But anyway, I'm back to work now...Trying to write my thesis. Apparently it's been given the go-ahead as a plant expense and not an engineering project, but whatever, so long as they come up with money to actually do it, I'll feel ok. As far as the school is concerned, they just want the paper turned in with the recommendations and stuff, they don't care if the project actually gets done. So blah.
That's pretty much it for now. Not a whole lot else going on.
I love you babydoll ♥♥♥♥♥ and we'll have been engaged for 2 months tomorrow!!!! Can you believe it?
So I kinda took a brief hiatus from updating LJ...not intentionally really, I just forgot about it.
Anyway, I'm back at school, going Monday-Wednesday-Thursday for classes. They're going okay, but not as well as I'd like. Lots of lecture and lab for 20 credit hours. It sucks but I'll survive.
Went to do some work on the GTP, didn't get hardly anything done. I think I'm going to hold off another month or two on it and work on the Firebird instead. Prolly gonna put a new clutch and shifter into it, then work on the interior while we gather up parts for a new Pontiac motor. Katie's dad really wants to help me work on it, so it'll prolly get a new paint job too. Hopefully by the Dream Cruise it'll be around and ready to roll for that. It'll be on the road soon though =D
Anyway, that's basically it. Happy Easter everybody!!!!!

Yep, it sure is. And that means I when I get outta work today, I'll have the next two days to not think about it. I'm pleased with that thought.
So I've been doing a capability study on some of our machines downstairs. It was going OK, though we were having issues with some of the machines breaking down yesterday. Well we didn't have too much of an issue with that today, but the supervisor of the area (due to poor communication skills) blew up and was screamin and hollerin. See he thought we took 20 parts out today, but we only took 10 yesterday and 10 today, and he'll get them back next week. So I don't know what his problem is, other than that he can't communicate very well. We tried to explain it to him, and I explained that it was what HIS boss told us to do, but he apparently couldn't understand that. Anyway, got a call from his boss, wanting an explanation, so we explained how we did it and his boss was like 'alright, that's what we told you to do, I'll take care of this supervisor.' So yeah, interesting time there for a while.
So...today is St. Patrick's day...Katie swears I'm going to get pinched today when I get home cuz I'm not wearing green, though I'd swear my pants ARE green (albeit not obscenly bright green). O well, we'll see what home brings. I honestly just can't wait to get home and see the love of my life. I love you babydoll!!!!!♥♥♥♥♥
Well, it's been a rather busy last few days. Katie has had 3 midterms now, and written a paper. She did pretty good compared to some of the grades I've brought home, but she's been having issues with how a couple of her professors ask questions. I think she'll end up doing just peachy in the end though. I've got faith in her =) But on top of all this school stuff, she's got Job's Daughters stuff to go over too, and that's been taking its toll on her. I understand why, and I wish there was more I could do. My mom is trying to help her out too, but she gets little surprises from the bethel every now and then as well...:sigh:
I think I've gotta help her dad go get a rollcage for the '86 Firebird today after work. I'd also (sometime soon) like to try to make that back window on her Jimmy quit squeaking (it's gotten worse) and put in that fenderwell on the GTP...but I doubt I'll have enough time today...blah.

Yep, I have been all morning. Redoing figures, trying to find money I can claim to be saving so my Thesis can get money alotted to it. Sounds like I've got the payoff down from 5 years to 2, so maybe they'll be like 'sweet, go for the gold!' IDK.
Anyway, this wasn't such a busy weekend like I thought it would be. Friday Katie and I went up to my parents' place, saw the fifth wheel...Yeah I described that before. Got my toolbox, brought it home. Saturday I changed the oil in the Jimmy and the GTP, after arranging all my tools into my bigger toolbox. We also tried to get the slicks mounted, but apparently most places can't mount 32"x15" tires onto 15"x15" rims. So today Katie and I are going to run up to Discount Tire to have them mounted up. What fun!
Sunday was more of a lazy, run around and do errands and take our time kinda day. Ended up reading alot of my book over the weekend as well (Katie did too...she's absolutely in love with that book Sue suggested to her...I might add that I've also read it and loved it).
Well, that's pretty much it...Lunchtime shortly...laterz!
Yes, yes it is. And another possibly busy one it's shaping up to be. I want to try to get up to my parents' place to get my big toolbox (haven't had a place for it until recently) and to see their new fifthwheel camper. 38 feet long, 3 slide-outs, two recliners, and a fireplace. That's right, a FIREPLACE, in an RV! My mom keeps joking about how she had to buy an RV to get her fireplace, something she's always wanted. My biggest problem with it is it only sleeps four people, because they didn't get a dinette, but rather a table and chairs set. Annoying, but I guess that means the air mattress will probably be getting some use when Katie and I visit this summer. Either that, or we will be bringing up a tent. =D
Saturday I want to change the oil in both the Jimmy and the GTP, and I'd also like to rotate the tires on both. I'd kinda like to change the spark plugs on the GTP as well, but I don't know if I'll get that far. At the very least I need to do the oil changes though.
Speaking of the Jimmy, Katie has it all figured out as to how to make that thing destroy O2 sensors. In the last month she's had two of them go bad, and there's only 3 total. We may end up just replacing the third one anyway, but yesterday after work I went home and got her a new O2 sensor and installed it for her. Now, I consider myself fairly strong, but sometimes you just need a bit more 'umph' than what you've got, so I ended up needing her dad to come out and loosen the darn thing (of course, 133,000 miles of rust tend to make things get a little snug anyway). I did tease him later though, I told him that I had it loosened up, but I wanted to make him feel good about working on his daughter's truck, so I went and got a hammer and tightened it up really tight for him. =D Yeah I know, I think I'm crafty.
Welp, I'm gonna go get back to work I guess. I have no idea if I've got money to actually DO my thesis here at work, but I'm working on the paper anyway, if for no other reason than to stay busy.
