As some of you know, LJ has done away with subject lines which makes kink memes difficult to use. Dreamwidth.org, a journal site many are using as an LJ alternative, has subject lines. It also has a community importer. All profile data, tags, entries, and comments can be imported if you have a paid account. I created one for such a purpose.
Would you like me to import your kink meme to DW? I will have to be made maintainer of the community on both LJ (mod_maintainer) and DW (el_presidente) in order to start the import. Once made, I will remove myself as mod.

First decide if this is going to be located in your own journal or not. If it is, just make the entry and link people. If not, many make kink meme mod journal names (example: kinkmememod) and with that journal make the kink meme (example: kinkmemecomm). Common layouts include
Definition: (example: What is a Kink Meme?: A Kink Meme is usually a journal entry/community found on LJ and other fandom-centric social networking sites. Basically, individuals make fic requests that usually involve sexual content, and fill other prompts that have been made. The result is usually hundreds of comments filled with anonymously-written, sexually-explicit fanfiction.

Common rules:
*Anonymous posting is allowed, no captchas, and no ip logging.
*No pairing bashing (as in "Oh I hate those two.) This rule tends to be iffy because you have some requests where people kill a char that was already involved, wrote as a villain, etc so that their ship can be realized. Is that pairing bashing? It can lead to drama.
*No rudeness (as in no "That prompt was stupid. Who would write this!? That story sucked!"
*If you don't like something, SCROLL pass it. (Many anons cannot do this.)
*All sexualities are allowed such as het, slash, femslash, orgy, etc
*1 prompt per comment
*Rules on reposts (depending on how big your meme, some may repost from previous parts. To some, this is annoying and to others it's not. The mod will decide how to rule that one.)
*Spoiler warning (notify if there are going to be spoilers within the meme. You may or may not want to make it a rule to not include spoilers from other shows in the meme related to crossover requests. Example: "I just saw this episode of True Blood and I want for the same thing to happen but I want it with this pairing.")
Tips:
*Make sure anonymous posting and non community memeber comments are allowed.
*Separate Threads can be helpful for a lot of things. (Fills, Discussion Post, Promo and Affiliates, etc)
*Some memes make delicious.com/diggo.com accounts to archive prompts and fills. It's a lot of hard work for one person so many help out. Here's an example from the Star Trek XI Kink Meme on LJ - http://www.delicious.com/st_xi_kink_meme
How To Avoid Wank:
Tell members to report wank (trouble) to a mod if they see it. Mods usually freeze and delete threads or step in and say something. Many anons try to self mod the meme even if they aren't a real mod, which can lead into trouble in itself. If they don't like something, they can rant about it in their own journals or visit various comms dedicated to rants/wank/venting etc.

Stuff anons sometimes forget:
Some people make separate journals to post on kink memes and track things for FREE vs buying paid time. Most of those users do not go anon for tracking purposes. Just because you see their name does not mean they are not posting fills anon. Many anons assume, call them attention whores, and this leads to wank. It's up to you to remind them of this in your meme and rules.
