In which I say "yes" to Kame's crazy
Thanks to D-addicts, I was able to watch Kame's newest drama, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge.
... Has anyone seen this, yet? My thoughts can be summarized thusly:
"Holy Opening Theme Song, Batman!"
"If you were hoping for a more serious version of the manga storyline... turn back now."
"As useful as subs could be, I don't think it'll clear any of this up. That plothole could mire a spaceship."
"JE crossdressing! Heck, yeah!" And,
"Take notes, fangirls. This is the how-to guide for stalking Kame."

I'm pretty sure subs will be up, like, faster than thought, but I will continue to watch this with or without because, darnit! It's growing on me.
And for my random torrent adventure, also through d-addicts, I started watching OL Nippon. I'm not sure if subs exist, but you really don't need them.
A company is being outsourced by foriegn countries (or something like that) and so, two young Chinese workers come to Japan to learn the ropes of the company. Good old language/cultural barriers, women in the workforce and all those other interesting topics. I'm surprised how much I like this drama, probably because I can empathize with the whole 'trying to get people to understand my bad japanese' thing. I expected it to be funny, but the drama treats those situations a lot more earnestly than I thought they would. Still, I think Japanese people are a whole lot more forgiving to white people's broken Japanese than they are to Chinese people's. Which is kind of the point of the show. And my roomate's pleased that I am learning new chinese words, even if I can't get her to watch it with me. I kinda wonder what Chinese people think of this drama.
It's got Minami from Yukan Club, which is a little bit ironic, considering the topic.
