All right, how sad is it that Scooter Libby getting pardoned doesn't even rate a "WTF?!" anymore?? What I want to know is why the lint-for-brains "reporters" working for AOL/TimeWarner are even asking people if they "agree" with Czar George II's decision. As if it were remotely possible for the pardon to be legitimate.
Once again, as disgusting as our government can be, the American "press" has managed to disgust me more.

Where are the activists? Why aren't I one? Why aren't you? All of us. We don't agree with what happens to our common karma, but we don't object either. Seen from one angle, that's a betrayal of those who worked so hard to get us here. And of those that die everyday because we haven't gone far enough.
And I have no answers.
But I do have ideals. And they shame me for my inaction, even as I grow in my strength by striving towards them. People like me, who work to be better and help others, are the sort who ought to be in charge of the common good. Somewhere along the line we've become very confused about what we look for in our leaders.
I'm not saying I know what to do. Just that I'd do it for the reasons it's supposed to be done.
Capitalism creates good markets, marvelous opportunity for self-improvement, but I strongly believe that it must learn to limit the peaks of success. Marble floors and mansions were bad enough, but the greed just keeps increasing, and that aught to be unacceptable while there are many who cannot get what they need. Who are ground underfoot in the name of profit.
This is the test of our species, I'll wager. Not necessarily this moment in time, but this issue. Whether we can keep our greed in check.
I believe the answer is yes. Without doubt. Why? Because I'm human, and I put greed aside on a regular basis. Where one can do, so all can learn.
'How' remains beyond me, but that surety is my faith. My compass star. We can be better, if we try.

Yeah.
Goodnight.
Hello, I just came across this community and realize it might be the place to repost my entry of yesterday concerning people who are judgemental and likes to point fingers at everyone but themselves.
my english is not so wonderful and I make up words at times, so hopefully it will be understood.
.........................................................
These past few days i feel as if there are stingers of bees aimed at me.. they sting too
except they forget that whenever they let their stingers out to aim, attack & penetrate, they become the bigger victims. because they die afterwards. no further growth.
we all have flaws and faults.. problem is, some of us have egos set on high and get blinded by superiority complexes and narcissistic-ness. Those are the kinds who will stand on a high pedestal and think they're the only ones up there. and everyone else is below them. what illusions.
They forget the most important thing..
they forget to change the man in the mirror.
oh, I remember seeing an image of a little kitty looking at it's reflection in the mirror.. except the reflection was a lion.. he sees himself bigger than he really is.
[i'm not talking about being ambitious or dreaming here.. that's different.. i'm talking about judgemental ones who see themselves too high & mighty.]
hmm well then, he needs to change that mirror.
.............................................
my list of flaws: too MANY to mention, but i'll name a few
~stubborness
~overly sensitive
~explosive personality [press a button and I explode]
~easily angered
~sometimes aggressive
~overly sensitive
~too many fears
~zero confidence
~overly sensitive
Did I say overly sensitive? [which means easily hurt/ touchy]
what's yours?

maybe we should really have a day when everyone is asked to lay all their faulty cards on the table.. I swear I will have a full deck to throw down.. not proud of them but honest enough to throw them in. I'm sure there will be the mr or mrs narcissism who will have their spot on the table empty. no cards. what a joker.
and you bet, if one should take that superior one and turn him upside down, there will be so many decks of cards falling heavily to the ground.
*We could even take it up a notch further- we could all take turns with holding one another upside down and shake all the trash out.
